Jonathan Larson Would Be Proud by Taye Diggs (Benny)

Taye Diggs What up ya'll! Coming into the last two weeks of filming, just arrived in LA. Today we had a special treat. Right before rehearsal, Chris Columbus let us see a fully cut version of the first rent trailer/preview. It was tight. I actually got a little emotional. To see a show that meant so much to me, my relationship, and many others materialized on a big screen, was something else. Jonathan Larson would be proud. I don't mean to brag but we looked gooood! Please tell Idina that her arms don't look fat. She's always concerned about that. (I think she's crazy)

I have to say, I've been in a couple of movies but I think I'm most excited to see the release of this one. It is symbolic on so many levels. It's been great seeing how we've all grown but at the same time have also stayed exactly the same. These folks are the best. Hopefully history will repeat itself and the film will be even bigger than the play. Perhaps Larson's voice will carry even farther than it already has. Fingers crossed. Peace.
