Gosh, I can't imagine anyone other than Jesse playing Collins. That's not to disrespect past and current cast members of the show, but I guess I'm just biased with some of the old cast. Not to mention when Jesse sings the reprise of "I'll Cover You", wow, I just get so emotional. Quite the voice! Jesse seems super sweet in interviews, along with Wilson, another cast member just suited for the role of Angel. They have great chemistry and are definitely easy on the eyes :) Again, I mean no disrespect to past and current cast members of RENT. I'm just thrilled that most of the originals reprised their roles.

no one else could do it...the raw emotion you posess is mind blowing. The other actors always talk about I'll cover you reprise...its just sooo powerful!

Alright, I ahve to say this cuz Wilson did have a small part in this blog. So, as I said before at some point, I cried every time I saw the movie. And I am not talking little plooping tears, I'm talking MAJOR hysterics. Guys: Was it difficult for you to play two lovers? Was there any sort of issue with the idea of being intimate with each other? I am the world's biggest Law & Order fan---for real!!! I've been watching it since it started. I am a NY transplant living in the Midwest and sometimes it's the only thing that helps me with my homesickness. Jesse, you have been so sweet re: all the things you said about Jerry Orbach---I still miss him! A GREAT TV guide spread, by the way! I loved you in RENT---I have the OBC recording and "I'll Cover you " reprise is my fav on that. When I saw it in the movies, though, I just sobbed uncontrollably. It was so poignant---the only thing that's touched me as much was hearing Sarah Maclachlan sing "Angel" acapella. Does that make sense? Anyway Jesse, you ROCK!!! You are sooo talented and absolutely beautiful. Wilson, you're a doll too! =) And the scene where you are together sing "I'll cover you" is so sweet and romantic---love is grand!

I love Rent and I can't imagine Rent without Jesse as Collins. I fell in love with the play and the music just for that reason. Jesse you were great and I'm glad that you were able to do the movie. Since I have the seen Rent as many times as I have I have now fallen in love with TNT and the repeats of L&O. You are great in every episode I have seen.

Jesse, you did an AMAZING job in this film. You all did! I've been skimming the comments and stuff and I love how people are saying that you make the best Collins and Wilson makes the best Angel. I think you all make the best, whoever your character is. I've never seen RENT on broadway and now I don't think I can because you all did such an amazing job I don't want to see it with anyone else! I can't imagine anyone other than Taye as Benny, or Tracie as Joanne, or Rosario as Mimi, it just doesn't work for me, although I'm very sure that other people have taken those roles and done just as good a job with them. I have been a fan of Law and Order since before you started, but I am a bigger fan now that you are on the show!!! I was a wreck for the whole season not knowing when you were going to be shot. I was chewing my nails during every episode wondering when it would happen. I am happy to report my nails are growing again and I am thrilled to death with the movie, I will be seeing it again this weekend!!!! Jesse you are so talented and have such a great voice, and in case you were wondering I have lost count of the number of fans who told me they would stop watching Law & Order if Detective Green had been killed. Beautiful job in RENT. The entire cast was great. I've watched L and O for years and I always knew there was something special about you. The show wasn't the same without your presence so I had no choice but to read up on the show and find out if you were coming back. If you weren't I'd have to find something else to watch in place of L and O. Everything I read about you confirmed to me what a talented, spirited, gentle soul you are. Your voice!! God broke the mold when he created you! The fact that you're attractive is just the icing on the cake.
