ahhh i love you two!!! oooh man, you boys rock my world! =)

Posted by: Arielle on 12/01/05 at 03:42 PM

Heee. I tend to get either "La Vie Boheme" or "Christmas Bells" in my head. Today at dinner, my roommate smushed up her cake and said, "Now it's snow." So, of course, I immediately had to serenade my table with "And it's beginning to snow!" But I didn't stop there. I kept singing all of the parts at once until everyone was done staring at me and had moved on with the conversation and I was being left out.

Ahh. Memories in the making. ^^

I love you guys. I can't wait to see the movie again on Saturday and then Tuesday.

Ha!
It gets stuck in my head all the time!

Wilson- YES! A lot of the times it does get stuck in my head, its just the backround music. It IS so catchy but I LOVE IT! I was reading my RENT book last night while listening to the soundtrack (I'm a dork I know, but I'm a RENThead what can I say?) and I read your thing about when you did the flip and they asked if you could do it in heels. Then you talked about how easy it was. That made me smile and giggle...I LOVE YOU!!! You are the best Angel and you make me happy. Really though, I love you in drag and out :). Keep on Angel-ing please.

Jesse- Whenever I just sort of faze out in school I mumbble it in my head....I admit sometimes out loud :). That's okay though, because its AMAZING.
My mom was watching Law and Order (it wasnt the Law and Order you are on but i didnt know this) and she changed the channel and I was like "NO! I want to see Jesse Martin." And then she told me it was the wrong Law and Order and I got sad. But then yesterday you were on and I was like, "COLLINS!" And then I started to sing..."Chestnuts roasting...COLLINS! I'm downstairs..." HA! I love you! Oh and also, "I'll Cover You (reprise)" makes me SOB. I was shaking by the end of that scen...NO JOKE. You are so AMAZING.

Actually, my choir is doing it and im keeping my fingers crossed for the solo!! I have always wanted to sing that part out loud at a real concert and not just on stage in my head :). I love you guys so much! You guys are so sweet. I can't thank you enough!!! Say hi to everyone else for me...PLEASE! I love you guys!
Measure your life in love...

Haha, Seasons of Love is /definitely/ the screensaver for my brain.

"Lets see, the limit of x^5/(2x^2-8x+5) is.. five hundred twenty five...THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED MINUTES!" I've nearly failed a math test like that.

Wilson, you are so cute. SO cute. Marry me.

Chris Columbus said a couple of times in interviews that Rent has been the soundtrack of his life since he's seen the show, and I totally know what he's talking about. I feel like it's my soundtrack too :D

<3 for Seasons of Love. I have a slightly irrelevant question for the whole cast and I hope it gets answered sometime: Can you personally relate to your characters in any way?

WOWEEE...
three blogs in one day. This might have to be one of the greatest days of my life. Thanks for posting them all! I'm going to see it for a third time tomorrow night...I don't know what I am going to do when it's not in theaters or on DVD!

How nice would it be for those of us whose Internet connections cannot handle these videos if there were some sort of transcript, at least for the videos in which questions are answered? I'm actually on a fairly fast campus network, but it puts severe caps on downloads of multimedia and I must admit that most of the time, it's not worth watching the videos because the screen will be stuck at black the entire time and after taking 10 minutes to start playing it has to buffer fifteen times. I'm sure those with dial-up have it even worse.

That said, the movie itself was great and a good deal of the audience at the screening I attended was singing along.

When Rent is stuck in my head, (24/7) It`s stuck in everyone elses- even if they dont appreciate it..- but who wouldn`t!! I am very..um...not Schizophrenic (thank you Word Perfect) but.. One second I`ll be singing "La Vie Boheme"- then I`ll dive straight into "Goodbye Love" or "What You Own" or "Christmas Bells" or "Tune up #1"- you name it- I`ve sung it a million times a day!!! I have made A LOT of my friends LOVE RENT TOO!!! YAY!! Rent=LOVE!!

Awesome :o) ... you know since I finally got internet on MY computer [last night! i had already had it on the "family computer" but was forced to get off 1,000 times!] all I've done today is download millions and thousands of RENT clips & interviews and I really just love how -real- the cast is. You guys aren't fake at all, I've seen millions of movies and interviews and stuff and people get really cocky about it, and think of it no big deal & I mean you would think the originals would be like "whatever I got this down, this is cool" but you just let the enthusiasm shine through you! And Tracie, dear God, I've never seen so much enthusiasm about a role before in my life. Rosario too just has amazing passion about this play & seeing interviews about how you and Tracie would stay up all nights together learning roles & having Tracie be Roger - hah - to classic. You guys are awesome & thanks for not being stupid and letting it get to your head. No actors are as real as you guys! I love you!

You all rule!!! I constantly have Rent playing in my head. I got through most of the first act in my US history class today!!! Thanks!
Much love,

Dear Wilson,
I think you're one of the best out there and I can't wait to see what you'll come out with next. The movie is simply incredible and you were my favorite. Your character inspired me to be a better person and fight AIDS, and become more dedicated to acting and just treat people better then I already did. Rent honestly changed my life and I owe a very large debt of gratitude to you and the rest of the cast for that. The experience of seeing Rent is something I will never forget and thank you sooo much. Please keep using the gift of acting that you possess, I pray to God that you do and I wish you all the best in your future endeavors. I hope that one day I will be able to act as well as you do and I hope we get the chance to meet someday. You and the rest of the cast have done more for me then you will ever know. The talent you have is your gift to us and that is the best gift that I could've ever received. I'm doing Today 4 U in our variety show and I would love for you to come, it would make my day but if not that's okay too. But in closing I wish you all the best and remember Today 4 U tomorrow for me. HaHa!

Love ALways,
A true believer Tiffany C.

Ahh Wilson and Jesse...where would we be without you guys?

You both are so funny! The movie was awesome and you two were my favorite part!

For me, I kind of play the whole play in my head. In the morning it will be Rent...then around lunchtime it will be La Vie Boheme or I should tell you and then by the end of the day, its What You Own. Thanks so much for everything you guys have don for us again!!

Posted by: Jenny on 12/01/05 at 06:06 PM

Hah, for somebody who just listens to the soundtrack/sees the movie constantly and having that song in my head so often, I can't IMAGINE what it's like for all of you! You two are fantastic, and I love you to pieces. Such overwhelming talent and heart. XOXO.

Jessie and Wilson- You both are AMAZING!!!! You both are the BEST "Angel" and "Collins" Ever!!! I JUST LOVE THE MOVIE!!!! I am really Proud of how y'all and Chris put this movie together!!!

Posted by: Lindsey on 12/01/05 at 06:32 PM

You're right, it is catchy. You hear those first few notes and your like "Ah yes!" That happened when you guys were singing that (Seasons) on something while my teacher had the TV on in History and I spazzed out...

I'm not crazy, I swear. (Contrary to what my school may tell you.)

Posted by: Thyra on 12/01/05 at 06:40 PM

Wow, this scene was one of my all time favorites. I love this movie, and I cannot wait until Saturday to see it for the third time.

I'm in love with you Broadway Gucci's!

Posted by: Christina on 12/01/05 at 06:52 PM

Everyone at my school seems to have this stuck in their heads as well! Wilson, you are so cute and funny! Jesse- keep singing, man! Your facial expressions are priceless in the film.

Posted by: Jordan on 12/01/05 at 06:55 PM

Jesse and Wilson: I love you!!! You both make my life, the scenes in the hospital when Angel was dying were amazing. I've seen the movie more times then I care to mention, and eveytime I sob!

To The Whole Cast: Since there has been all this talk about the end of the blogs drawing near I just want to say, again, THANK YOU. This project has meant so much to me over the years, and I has truly helped me become the person I am. The movie is beautiful, I don't think it could possibly have been better. I actually wrote my college essay about what RENT, and all of you mean to me, they wanted a "truthful personal statement," and I couldn't think of anything I felt more strongly about then the relevance of this piece. So, thanks again, for loving RENT as much as we love it, we were so blessed that you all came along.

I love you so much,
B

JESSE: I loved how you called it a "screen saver for your brain". That is such a smart way to look at it.

WILSON: I love you so much...too much maybe LOL. This was adorable. You are adorable.......all the time. You make a very pretty girl....however I enjoy the way you look as a guy...VERY MUCH! Marry me? (third time asked.....:-))

Jesse and Wilson, you guys have such great chemistry together. Both of you guys have such amazing style.

That's one of the best things about the songs from RENT, they get stuck in your head and you have these beautiful, powerful lyrics to constantly think about and they really do affect you and make you think about them.

Wilson, honey, you HAVE to get a website, you have WAY too many fans not to becasue you are such an interesting and unique person, and we want to know what's goin' on.

Both of you are AMAZING!

Oy, Seasons of Love. A very catchy, easy-to-get-stuck-in-your-head kind of song. I swear, at least three people every day sing that song at my school. Most of the time, it isn't correct, but it's good advertisment, right?

Posted by: Aria on 12/01/05 at 07:16 PM

The film's opening with "Seasons of Love" was absolutely amazingly beautiful. Ahh! I could watch just that scene a million times over.

And I agree with Wilson, SOL is a totally catchy song. It, and the rest of the RENT tracks, are constantly playing in my mind. It's a good distraction for math class - just put on your iPod and listen to some "La Vie Boheme" - LOL.

Posted by: Jackie on 12/01/05 at 07:16 PM

My goodness! I can not believe that RENT get's so stuck in my head! Usually it's I'll cover you and the reprise or Santa Fe, which means Jesse and Wilson are on my mind all day! LOL Still love you guys! <3 Thanks for still posting, please don't stop! :( :)

Posted by: Stephanie L. G. on 12/01/05 at 07:19 PM

You guys are so wonderful! I really wish there was a clip of "I'll cover you" on the blog. That song has been stuck in my head for a reaaally long time. I love the sweetness of it, and of Angel and Collins' relationship, and of you two! :)It's definitely what I cherish most about RENT. Thank you so much for continuing to have footage on the blog :)

Posted by: Kaya on 12/01/05 at 07:22 PM

I just wanted to add that I am definitely thinking about Angel, Collins and Roger today on World AIDS day. Protect and educate yourself people! <3 <3 <3

Posted by: Kaya on 12/01/05 at 07:25 PM

WILSON: You are definitely the heart of the movie. Anyone who saw the movie couldn't help but fall in love with you. I grew to love Angel so much that I totally lost it when he died.

JESSE: Jesse, my man! I knew that you could sing as I have listened to the OBC soundtrack for a long time. I just didn't know that you were THIS good until I heard the movie soundtrack. You were so brilliant! I especially loved SANTA FE. Don't get me started on the reprieve of I'LL COVER YOU at the funeral. I hope you are able to do a show about Marvin Gaye as you mentioned on the Tony Danza show. You would be SO great!!

Posted by: Oberon on 12/01/05 at 07:33 PM

Aww...that was cute.

Love this one alot.

Also, Today was National Aids Awareness day, and we had a banner in our school, and my friends and i made a tribute to Angel. <3 Renthead Rebecca

Posted by: Rebecca on 12/01/05 at 08:22 PM

Hahah this is great. Gah, if I get the song stuck in my head as much as I do...there's no telling how much they must get it stuck in theirs!

And yes, every day since I've seen the movie, there's a different song stuck in my head. In fact, I realized I was hooked today when someone started singing "O Little Town of Bethlehem" and everyone else starting singing the traditional song and I charmed in with "we raise our glass..."

Posted by: ShuQ on 12/01/05 at 08:33 PM

I like the phrasing "Screen saver for you brain." That happens to me a lot. Jesse and Wilson, I love you both. "I'll Cover You" was my first favorite when I listened to RENT. I'll admit, I had to get used to the show and now of course I love all of it, but "I'll Cover You" was what first made me fall in love with the show. Thanks to you two. And Jesse, I cry when I hear the reprise.

Posted by: Christiana on 12/01/05 at 08:36 PM

Wilson, I want to give you a huge hug. You're adorable. And Jesse, this is going to sound horrible and fangirlish, but please marry me. o.o

Absolutely lovely.

Posted by: Sarah on 12/01/05 at 08:50 PM

I get all the songs stuck in my head. It really depends on what was last in the mp3 player, but yeah, "Seasons of Love" does sometimes become my screensaver. You sing it or hum it without thinking. I love it!! Definitely cannot wait of the DVD. But gotta say, I LOVE YOU, JESSIE AND WILSON!! I just saw the movie for the 4th time, and Angel & Collins get me every time. At least I didn't cry during "I'll Cover You (Reprise)" this time. But it was just me and another friend in the theater, and we were belting out the songs, goofing off, talking, and definitely enjoying the movie. It wouldn't have been as good without you and the rest of the cast. Thanks again, from every RENThead.

Posted by: Mandy on 12/01/05 at 09:03 PM

It gets stuck as screensaver music for me too. =)

Posted by: Carla on 12/01/05 at 09:06 PM

My friends and I at school have banned singing RENT outloud because for the past three weeks every time we'll finally get a song OUT of our head, another one of us will walk up singing another and all hell will break loose. That's okay, I love 'em anyway. And you guys, too. <3

ok good i thought i was the only person who actually gets the "rent" songs playing in my head...especially "life support", "seaons of love" and "One song Glory" which is interesting cause i was never really into musicals but the songs are so good.its great to hear from you guys, Wilson, YOU"RE AWESOME. i luv the sound effects!)lol-Courtney

I'm sorry. I had to write one more time.

I just can't tell you what it means to the fans to have this blog.

Angel and Collins are just two of the most loveable characters EVER, and such a lovable couple! You two have brought such integrity to them, and you have such wonderful chemistry.

I agree with what so many other people have said about your characters really inspiring them to be better people. We need more Angel's and more Collins' in the world! I do a lot of activism for GLBT causes, and this movie and your characters mean soooooooooo much to me. You guys seem like you get along great which is so nice, and you are both lovely individuals.

Did I mention you are both beautiful? Seriously. My friends and I are just like, DAAAAAMN. haha.

ps. and a happy holidays if we don't hear from you!

hahaha theres a girl in my theater class who's not a theater person at all (she's just taking the class for the graduation credit) but she went and saw rent and today she asked me if angel was a guy the *entire* time cuz she had been trying to figure out if angel was a guy or girl throughout the whole movie. but i was laughing too hard to answer her.

Posted by: Tina on 12/01/05 at 09:34 PM

angel and collins are my favorite couple in the movie! you guys are awesome! and i get these songs stuck in my head all the time; i love it when that happens :)

Ha, unrelated but I like how they're not accepting comments for the previous post b/c it'd all be thousands of people yelling at Chris and arguing with him for that choice.

and YAY for more blog goodness (despite Adam's comment in the premiere video).

I usually sing one of the songs from RENT while I walk to and from work (I work at a daycare center near my college). They are very good company since I walk by myself and so I can sing without bothering other people.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY WILSON!

This song got stuck in my head before I even knew what Rent was. I had a friend one time who loved the show and used to sing this song all the time, and before I knew it, I was singing it, even though I'd never seen the show. Now that I've seen the movie, of course I keep singing it and I love it!

Posted by: Jennifer on 12/01/05 at 11:47 PM

Well! Getting songs stuck in your head...that's been happening to me a lot lately. I have the soundtrack from the OBC, and it's all I've been listening to since I saw the movie the day it came out!

Finally, all these Rent songs swarming around in my head got to me. I left lunch early today (it was gross anyways) and went into my Algebra classroom. I knew we were having a test today, so I wrote in great big letters "NO DAY BUT TODAY". Everybody in the class was staring at the board all, "What the heck is that?" And I just got right on with my test, smiling like a loony. I was so sad when the teacher finally erased it. Oh, well. It was fun while it lasted.

Congratulations to the WHOLE cast for a wonderful job! I loved the movie, and I'm planning to see it for the second time (I'm so far behind!!!) Saturday...as long as my mom doesn't decide to make me babysit again instead. The movie is currently dominating my computer, from a screensaver for the musical to this awesome wallpaper...all the way down to my AOL Instant Messenger Buddy Icon!

I wonder if I could ask a question...How do those of you think the show has changed since you first started nearly ten years ago? Just curious...

Who doesn't get Seasons of love stuck in their heads ?? It IS a catchy song.
One day, I was in the middle of a Math test, and I was huming it, didn't even realise it until some dude turned around and told me to shut up.

Well, we all have problems these days :)

You two rock, you are so cute, I LOVE YOU

My friends are all getting sick of me going around singing Seasons of Love...

Like Jesse said, it's become like a screensaver in my head...

Posted by: Andrea on 12/02/05 at 05:36 AM

I just saw the movie last night and it was AMAZING! You two were awesome! I'm trying to get people together to see it again today, lol. As for the songs getting stuck in your head, I even get the voice mails stuck in my head, very odd.

Thanks for such a great movie!

Hey everyone,

I inform my mom about these blog videos when I can, because normally we get a good story, or a cute funny story and so I told her abou tthe screen saver for your brain thing. She has NOT seen RENT, yet, and I keep telling her she doesn't know what she's missing. Anyway, whenever we're in the car I bring the RENT sountrack and we listen to it. So I told her about this video blog and she went, ya knwo what I was singing that today at work, and I started cracking up. I couldn't believe it! So see that, even if people haven't seen the movie that song can still get stuck in your head. She wasn't too pleased though as she doesn't know the right number or all the words. Take care everyone!

Love,
Alexandra

I have any number of Rent songs stuck in my brain, but I never thought of Seasons of Love as a screen saver for my brain but it does make sense since it seems to come out when ever I am stressed!! Or it could be because I play the CD whenever I am in my car. You guys are so so cute and I can't wait to see the movie again, and again, and again. How soon before it comes to DVD????!!!!

Posted by: Tori on 12/02/05 at 09:07 AM

They should totally put the video blogs on the DVD...That's would be awesome.

Long-time reader, first-time poster. :) I truly don't have the words to appreciate how much this film means to me -- and all of us -- and how thankful I am to the cast and production team for your amazing contributions.

With most of my fellow Rentheads out of state (travesty!), I saw the film alone on opening day. But I must say, at the risk of sounding completely cheesy, that I didn't feel alone. It was the first experience I've had of feeling such a bond with the rest of the audience -- a family, if you will -- and knowing that we all shared the same passion for this musical. It has been near and dear to my heart for the past 10 years, and having it immortalized on the silver screen is phenomenal. I've seen it twice in the theater and can't wait to go again. And again. And then buy the DVD. And then watch it every day. :)

To Anthony, Wilson, Jesse, Idina, Tracie, Rosario, Adam, Taye -- THANK YOU. I love every one of you and thank you for pouring your heart and soul into this film. It shows so clearly. And I hope to have the opportunity to thank you in person some day. (Hey, a girl can dream, right?)

Love, hugs, and all the best for 2006,
Kim

Posted by: Kim on 12/02/05 at 10:14 AM

Hey! I really hope someone from the movie gets to read this, however, I'm happy just posting it on here :)

I'm fairly new to the songs and the story of RENT, but last year when I bought the OBC recording, I immediately fell in love with your voices, the songs and everything else about RENT. Unfortunately, I haven't had the chance to see the show yet which is why I was so excited when I found out it was going to be a movie. I just wanted to let everyone in the cast know that the movie was so amazing and so moving! I loved every second of it. The whole time watching the movie I felt like I was in the moment with the characters. I sang with Roger, I danced with Mimi, I laughed with Angel, I cried with Collins, I mooed with Maureen, I tangoed with Joanne, and I made a movie with Mark. Thank you so much, all of you, for giving me the opportunity to witness such talent, and for bringing joy to your fans through every moment! I love you all!!!!
Love Always,
Katie

Posted by: Katie on 12/02/05 at 11:51 AM

I always get the "I'll Cover You" reprise stuck in my head... either that or the end of "Another Day"... and a few nights ago I randomly started singing "La Vie Boheme" when I was out to dinner... all my friends just stared at me. But I loved it... All the songs are just amazing.

I can't imagine singing Seasons of Love as many times as you guys have. It's the song you sang whenever you performed outside of the theatre, and you also performed it in the theatre... two different versions! That is insane, and I love the song. It's easy to see why you guys sing it a lot, it is the most recognized song from RENT, in my opinion.

Seasons of Love was my first solo, and it was a lot more meaningful because it was RENT. I would have been so disappointed had I not gotten the solo, so this song holds a lot more significance for me because it was the song that "put me on the map". I was a sophomore at the time, and it was that song that really got me noticed. It's such a precious song! It's not the easiest song to sing, so I can't imagine doing that song so many times a week... or even doing a show so many times a week. You guys are amazing. I know I've said this before, but I'm glad Seasons of Love was at the beginning of the movie. I think it fit best and was the perfect opener!

HAPPY DECEMBER! Christmas Bells are ringing ;)
Joyce [korenglish/Jkor]

P.S. I just literally asked some TODAY to make me a Mark scarf for Christmas! Curse you guys for having RENT merchandise out today! haha, I'm just kidding... I'll probably end up buying it anyway. They are two different looking things anyway... one is navy/white and the other is navy/gray like in the movie. The navy/white one is going to be a replica of Mark's, but collectibles are always wanted! ;)

Okay, so today during lunch, I didnt eat because I dont like my school's food, and didnt have enough time to go anywhere, due to the fact that we had a full group practice in Orchestra, so we only had half an hour to eat anyways. My friend and I went to our locker, then went down stairs, outside..where it was snowing, and we didnt have our coats on..anywho, we got back inside, and I started singing La Vie Boheme, and I was almost done when my English teacher comes down and starts sing La Vie Boheme B, messing me up..so I just continued where he stopped..then I started singing Seasons of Love, and after that it was Today 4 U.

Posted by: Jana on 12/02/05 at 07:36 PM

Jesse and Wilson, thank you for your comments. I regret that I never had the chance to see you in Broadway, but at least now I can catch you on the big screen whenever I want!

The two of you are without question the highlight of the movie for me. You are both incredibly talented on your own, but when you're together, it's pure magic. I simply don't know how to describe it.

Oh, and I'd like to add my birthday wishes for you, Wilson!!!

Posted by: Sophie on 12/02/05 at 08:39 PM

YES, I love "Seasons of Love" so much that I want to sing while watching the movie. In fact, I want to have a movie time when the audience can sign with the movie, there are so many awesome SONGS!

Clearly this would be for RENT-heads that love the songs and just cant sit there without singing!!!!!! "WHAT SAY YOU"?????

Posted by: LCLC2U on 12/03/05 at 12:19 AM

HEY, To sound like the rest of you RENTheads, I thought the movie was fantastic. I have to build a room in my future house that has a projector and surround sound just so I can watch RENT with the same intensity as the theater. THANKS FOR BEING SO INFLUENTIAL (sp) ON MY LIFE!! It's draining my wallet!! I'm just kidding. This movie, or the movies STATEMENT, or STAPLE IN HISTORY, is allowing me to live without feeling bitter. It keeps the possibility of a tight knit community (in the deepest sense of the word) ALIVE in my life!! And though you aren't the writers, you are the symbols of what that represents. I have to thank you for that!! I used to get really mad at myself for not being old enough to even understand or appreciate RENT at its debut. I used to regret never seeing the original cast, not that I had much to do with that. I was only 13. But now, once it's out of theaters, I can OWN IT. Anyway, It's moved me in an unexplainable way.

I wanted to know if there was any way to get my hands on an editor's cut of the movie!?!

Another thing, Wilson (look at me talking like I know him) the 3rd time I experienced the movie, I noticed the trouble you must have gone through trying to keep that backpack on your shoulders through the first "I'll Cover You" in the Park. What kind of HELL was that!?!
Anyway, I wanted to thank you for all of this. I wish Jonathan Larson could see what he's done!! FOREVER, Thank you!!

Absolutely Amazing!!! That's what I come up with after going to see the movie version of RENT. The very next day, I was at Borders Book Store puchasing the soundtrack. And to answer the question...yes, Seasons of Love does get stuck in my head. The essence of breaking a year down into minutes truely makes you realize just how precious time is. It is so important to live each day to the fullest and cherish every moment that God has blessed you with.

Thank you for enriching my life with such a beautiful experience.

First off happy birthday to Wilson. It's a day late I know but I just wanted to let you know I thought about you. First off I have seen the play on broadway and I have now seen the movie a total of 5 times since it has come out. I have cried absolutely everytime I have seen it. I listen to the soundtrack just about everyday and I love all the songs but I'll cover you (both versions)& Will I stick out the most for me. I figured when the movie was coming out that they would have to cut a few things hear and there and I was hoping they wouldn't cut that. Both songs have touched me and are both vocally wonderful. I love the way Wilson and Jessie did it!!! I loved you guys on stage and have loved you even more in the movie!!! Congrats and keep doing what your doing. Rent the play is awesome and the the movie is too great for words I can't wait to see it again. My roomates have about had it with me and Rent but I don't care I love it and I love you guys for doing it!!

by the way, i just wanted to comment on the previous blog by chris. your words seemed so heartfelt, and i now really understand why that scene was cut and have made my peace with it. thanks for everything, chris.

Wilson is so right. It's not even the words it's just those opening notes. I start tapping them out during tests all the time. and all the songs are so bad to get stuck in your head. I think the first verse of 'What You Own' is permenantly embedded in my brain.

It probably doesn't help that my best friend plays it nonstop.

XD XD XD

Happened to me today at work. Except I thought of Wilson singing the first chords, and it made me laugh...

Anyway, I just thought you guys should know that at our Academic Team tournament a couple of weeks ago, a RENT question came up. Went something like this --

Reader: This Jonathan Larson musical based on Puccini's opera--
GA: [throws hands up in triumph or in praise of the gods, possibly both] YES. OH MY GOD. FINALLY. RENT.
The Captain: [laughs]
Reader: [finishes the question, anyway] --focusing on Mark, Roger, Mimi, etc.
The Captain: [with mock uncertainty] I'm going to guess... Rent?
Reader: [grins]
GA: [shaking from the awesomeness of the situation] You don't understand... I've been waiting for that question for years.
Reader: Well, you finally got it.

Yes. It was a good day. Made me happy.

Oh, my boys.

I don't know why this was so freaking hilarious to me (probably because I'd have given the exact same answer) but I laughed so hard orange juice came out of my nose. Remind me never to watch you two on film while drinking a beverage. I'll either be drooling from the cute or snorting from the silliness.

Really, you two were hands down my favorite people ever in that movie.

I love you both so much! Happy birthday Wilson, by the way.

I've gotten Out Tonight stuck in my head so many times, but I always have one of the songs from the movie playing in my head. I was humming Today for you Tomorrow for Me for two days after I saw the movie. People look at you funny when you randomly say "that dog is now in doggy hell"...

Hi folks
I just want to say that I have seen it on stage and I will love to see it in the theatre.

I can not tell you how many times that song has gotten stuck in my head. I had to translate the entire thing into sign language for my sign class at my high school so I had to play it over and over and over and over and over when I was practicing and it was in my head for over a week. It was actually pretty cool. But everyone in the class really loved the song and almost all of them decided to buy the soundtrack and go see it. I have created 20 more Rentheads! WOOT!
The other day I got part of "You'll see" in my head, so for an hour or so, the one line "Happy birthday, Jesus" was playing in my head. Then I started singing that one line and my sister's boyfriend just cocked his head to the side and looked at me quizzically. We're Jewish. Oy vey.

I agree, I don't know how many times i've been walking down the halls of my school or to my locker and the song just comes into my head. I always sing it when I walk the dogs, not very well I must say, I wish I could be better.
I love how you two put humor into everything, and Wilson, you've made me laugh on every single video i've seen you in on this site, especially the one with you, Jesse, and Anthony in the parking lot and when you said you were styling.

I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!
