My favorite song is "Take Me Or Leave Me." However, I think EVERY song is AMAZING! Thank you guys for doing what you do! I love listening and watching to you sing and dance! It makes me so happy! I am so obsessed with Rent, it's kind of scary. But thank you! You are truly AMAZING!

They're all my favorite!! And I agree with Wilson I miss Christmas Bells.. That's an awesome song!
Posted by: Ashley on 11/29/05 at 09:43 AM
I love how Rosario explicates 'La Vie Boheme' and how Idina jokingly glorifies the candle song. They're all great, and I don't blame the first 4 for not having a particular favorite.
Posted by: Gian on 11/29/05 at 09:45 AM
This is without a doubt one of my favorite blogs:
ROSARIO and ADAM: I thought I fully understood La Vie Boheme but you guys really made me understand it even more.
TRACIE: I do like Another Day, but it makes me sad in some ways. However, I love Mimi's part (props to Rosario). Mine also changes a lot too.
IDINA: Loved it. Maybe one day you could play Mimi. Who knows. Or.....You and Taye could do it at home. LOL. I would love to see that......SO CUTE!
JESSE: I completely agree with you. Mine chages all the time. I completely understand your reasoning. Read Wilson's too because I give you total props there.....
WILSON: Ahh, my man Wilson. I have to say, no matter how I feel, any song that you sing makes me happy. I love every song that you sing. Especially "I'll Cover You". People don't really realize it, but it is one of the most beautiful love songs ever written. iTunes "Love Songs" playlist, "I'll Cover You" is #1. I love you so much!
TAYE: Without You is a great song, don't get me wrong, but in both the show and the movie, it makes me cry when you see what is happening during it. Kinda turns me off to see Angel dying....:'( But I totally see where you are coming from,
ANTHONY: Yes.....I'll Cover You (reprise) is gorgeous. Sad but gorgeous. And What You Own looks like so much fun.
LOVE YOU ALL! Keep posting. Please....

Idina, you do "got a light" very well!
I love every single song in Rent. My favorite one to sing is Take Me or Leave Me, but I absolutely LOVE Finale B. It is my ringtone on my phone, I just love it. The message is so clear and it leaves you in that wow, that was a great show, mood.
Love the movie, guys!
Thanks for everything!

Tracie: I love that you said "My latest favorite" - sounds like you're a lot like me. Mine is always changing.
Jesse: Obviously you feel the same way, too. The musical is just too great to have one favorite all the time.
To All: Thank you again so much for doing such an amazing job with the movie. It made me cry all 5 times I saw it and that's really saying something. Of course, I'll see it many more times... Thank you!
I appreciate that there are still blogs being posted. Totally amazing. Thanks for taking care of the fans! We love you!

My favorite song is La Vie Boheme. I love it's message, and I always think about my sister when I hear it. By the way I LOVE LOVE the movie!!!!! I was laughing, and crying, more then I did when I saw the play! LOL

"To days of inspiration, playing hooking, making something out of nothing, the need to express to communicate, to going against the grain, going insane, going maaaad. To loving tension, to pension, to more than one dimension, to starving for attention, hating convention, hating pretension. Not to mention of course, hating dear old mom an daaaad...La vie boheme" Oh my, did I type all that? I guess that's my favorite.
Posted by: Bionca on 11/29/05 at 11:01 AM
Tracie : I love you. You rock. I love the way you say they all are my favourites. It's so true. I don't think I can choose ONE song from Rent. They just all are beautiful.
I'm kinda like you..."my latest favourites songs" are Chrismas bells, another day, take me or leave me...
I love you all! YOU ROCK!!! I can't see the movie, it's coming out in France the 12th of April...I am SO pissed!
I guess i'll have to wait...And listen to my CD.
Love you all, you are awesome, every little one of you!!!!
Much kisses from Paris.

Ooh!! This is tough!! I love them all. I can't choose. Just depends on my mood at the moment. I'm actually listening to the movie soundtrack at this very moment (playing Take Me or Leave Me).
To the Cast: You guys are MAGNIFICENT!!! I loved the movie. I can't wait to see it again and again!! Thank you for such inspired performances!!!
Posted by: sheryll, los angeles on 11/29/05 at 11:15 AM
I agree with Taye.... Without You all the way! Along with Tracie, I was a huge Light the Candel fan first, than seasons of love, then Boheme, then Another day, and I'll cover you, and now without you! It is the best part of the movie too!
Posted by: Dhiraj on 11/29/05 at 11:17 AM
I love all the songs from Rent, but I especially love I'll Cover You. It's just the perfect love song and it makes you think, "I want to love like that!" Also, one thing I've been doing is listening to I'll Cover You and then to the I'll Cover You Reprise right after. WHOA - who would think you could feel extreme joy and then extreme sadness from the same song!
Posted by: Pao on 11/29/05 at 11:20 AM
It's waaaaaaaaay too hard to pick a favorite, I think it might be Seasons of Love because I've been listening to that for the longest time. In a close second comes Finale B or One Song Glory, then Rent. I love all of them, it's too hard classing just one as a favorite.
Posted by: Kevin W on 11/29/05 at 11:26 AM
Ahh you guys are so awesome! What a great blog. My favorites are Take Me or Leave Me and Finale B. Tracie ROCKS in Take Me or Leave Me.
Posted by: ShuQ on 11/29/05 at 11:43 AM
The first time I listened to the OBC recording, I was in high school. I'd grown up listening to musicals with my mom, and I loved them in a distancing sort of manner -- "Wow, I love the infectiousness of West Side Story, but it really has nothing to do with my life..." "Man, Fiddler is great, but... I really have nothing in common with Golde..."
RENT was different. I knew as soon as I put it on and heard the first strains of "Tune Up #1". I laid back on my bed and let both of the CDs play all the way through before even dreaming of functioning again. I knew right away in an unexplainable sense that it was a life-changing experience.
I had always adored musicals, but none had ever made me feel so much a part of a community as RENT. None had made me celebrate my friends and my life and what was important to me the way RENT did. None of the old musicals I listened to and loved explained me, but somehow Jon Larson did. That's what was so special about RENT, and that's what still makes RENT special. I didn't live in the East Village in 1989; I was born in 1985 in small-town Ohio. And I could still relate and find myself and understand and love the characters in so many ways that I'm still finding new ways, years and years later.
"La Vie Boheme" is what encompasses that to me. It is the feeling of the community, and Rosario explained it perfectly. "LVB" has been my favorite song since the very first time I heard it. If RENT, disc 1/OBCR is my comfort CD (and it is), then "La Vie Boheme" is my comfort song. It is my "pump me up, I'm going out to party!" song, it is my "I hate my life right now and want to curl up in bed" song, it is my "I need to cheer up" song, it is my "I need a good cry" song. It is just... perfect.
And this is almost unrelated, but the movie version of "LVB" is amazing -- and mostly because, though the entire beginning is cut (which is sad), SHAUN EARL is the waiter. I adore him. I've seen him on Broadway 12 of the 13 times I've seen RENT, and he is one of my favorite Angels ever. He's lovely and I was so excited to see his little leather-clad self on screen. When I think "RENT actors," my first thoughts are the OBC and him. :D Thanks, Chris, for casting him even in a small role. It really, seriously, was one of my favorite parts -- not only are you not forgetting the OBC, but you also aren't leaving out current cast members. We appreciate it, and we notice, and we love you for it.
Love,
Mondie :)

Without a doubt, mine is "Ill Cover You". I loved it in the play, and I thought the scene for the movie was simple- and in that so sweet. But of course, I love all the other songs too!!
Posted by: Lauren on 11/29/05 at 11:52 AM
I love every single one of these songs ! I'm gonna wear out my cd because I listen to it so much, lol.
The talent in this movie is out of this world. Each and every one of you have amazing talents and I am glad you all got the chance to share that with all of us. I'm still in awe with how amazing this movie is :)

I alway wondered what your favorite songs are!!! Thanks for helping me to sleep at night!
Much love,

Posted by: Sarah on 11/29/05 at 12:08 PM
Hah, I say Idina goes around with a cigarette or a candle and sings that line to random people on the street...quite hilarious. Rosario did that party very well! Yeah I agree with everybody, especially about the ever-changing "favorites". I can't get enough of "Take Me or Leave Me" simply because the voices singing it DESTROY me. Make a duet album, okay?
Thease blogs are my favorite, the ones with you guys speaking candidly. You're ALL outstanding.
Tracie = PERFECTION.

Taye thank you! I thought that nobody else liked Without You. It's so emotional and amazingly wonderful lyrically.
Posted by: Isabel on 11/29/05 at 12:41 PM
Lol. Taye, I love you and your calm way of saying the most awesome things. Jesse and Wilson, I COMPLETELY agree how all of our favorite songs can change from 10 minutes to another because every song and moment is just so unique and equally special and amazing, it's almost impossible to choose. I miss "Christmas Bells" but I agree, it will be weird on cinema.
Idina - I can listen to you say "Got a light?" over and over ;]

I love every song but my favorite is another day so it is so cool that that is tracies favorite too!! Mine changes at least once a week though ; )

Oh man, every song is so great! And I love that each song really has emotion, that each song can mean something different to everyone. The songs have a plethora of emotion in them and makes each one unique and beautiful. I agree with each and every one of you on your opinions of the songs. Each is beautiful and meaningful and really makes Rent an amazing musical.
You all did a fantastic job, and I love each of you so much!
Keep posting, you have tons of fans who love reading these and knowing from the actors what's new with Rent!

I agree with Jesse, Wilson, and Tracie: there is no way I could choose a favourite song. They're all fantastic, all touch me in different ways, and God... you guys sing them so amazingly.
At the moment, my favourites are Another Day, I'll Cover You (Reprise), and Without You. Oh, and Seasons of Love. And What You Own. Oh my God, I can't choose. They're all so wonderful.
And Idina, you are so freaking adorable.

Gotta light?
That cracked me up :P But I know exactly what Idina means, and Jesse. There are so many different moments that I love, and they change all the time. Sometimes I'll remember one particular version of even two words and I'll replay it over in my head. I was just talking with my friend today how I loved when Rosario went "And all the scars from the nevers and maybes die" and she was leaning over the railing. I don't know why I love it, but I do.
Anyways, I'll end my novel here.
PS-The way you explained La Vie Boheme made sense 110% and I didn't think I could get anything else out of that song, but you proved me wrong!
Posted by: Eva on 11/29/05 at 12:59 PM
From the first time I listened to the italian version of Rent my favourite song was ''La vie Boheme''...though I didn't understand it fully...I was 14:)....from that moment I felt this great passion for that musical that was different from classical ones... I then discovered the OBC recording(my high school teacher lent it to me)...and LVB became officially my favourite Rent song ever!
I lately discovered also ''Take me or leave me'' since this summer I saw a wonderful live performance of Kelly Karbacz on broadway...
anyway I agree with Mondie....the Rent cd and especially ''la vie boheme'' is perfect when u need a cheer up...I always listen to it when I need to be happier....or when I'm so sad that I can't listen to nothing else....these songs are all beautiful and makes me wanna dance and sing everytime....and it's been that way for 5 years next 4th february!!!(yeah I have a Rent-anniversary:)....I think I'll never get bored of this musical...
awesome
thanx jon

heh. so many great songs. my favorites would be: LA VIE BOHEME- i agree that it is inclusive and that's what makes it so fun (same thing with songs like CHRISTMAS BELLS,) and i also like HALLOWEEN, short and sweet as it is. It's a pause of reflection before blowing up into GOODBYE LOVE. finally, WHAT YOU OWN is exciting because major epiphanies are finally being arrived at. it's empowering; mark and roger realize/find a bit of what they've been looking for all along.

I'm not gonna lie. I went to see the movie souly on hearing "Light My Candle". I about laughed my head off when I heard it the first time. But I have to say my favorites are La Vie Boheme, cause it's so bouncy and 'in your face', and Finale B is just... beautiful.
(though, Over the Moon is so random it's becoming one of my favorites. It makes me laugh.)
Posted by: Kayla on 11/29/05 at 01:15 PM
Hey guys,
i FINALLY saw the movie! Yay for me. it was amazing! (that seems to be the only adjective that people use for this show)
My favorite song is Over the Moon. I must have heard that song a million times, but i still laughed histerically when i saw Idina do it again. That makes a million and one times now. I've never looked at cows or diet coke the same way ever again, and i have "Moo with me" written everywhere. I knew Idina was my idol for a reason.
One song that really supprised me was Without You. I had always thought that it was a pretty song (i'd listen to the soundtrack but it was always just like: "Oh this is a nice song") This was the song that brought tears to my eyes during the movie when Angel is dying and Mimi's going through withdrawal.
Then again, i like rock, so i love Rent and What You Own.
Oh well, they all get stuck in my head forever anyway.
Moo!
Your friend,
Christen
PS: Got a light? lol
Posted by: Christen on 11/29/05 at 01:37 PM
I LOVED what all of you had to say.
I have to agree with ADAM and ROSARIo about La Vie Boheme; Jonathon must have been in a great mood surrounded by friends when he wrote it. It celebrates that these people who have faced all of these difficulties are finally able to celebrate that they have found a "community of their own" and the exuberance and passion for everything that these characters have in face of their difficulties which is admirable and beautiful.
Tracie, I remenber you saying in an earlier blog how you sug Another Day with your friend for four years, which I think is so awesome. The lyrics in Another Day can put me in tears, they're so beautiful. It's so AWESOME to know that your as passionate about these songs as we are.
IDINA, I'm sure all of us can agree that you can perform Mimi anytime you want to and we'll be there to hear you sing "Gotta a light" I love the desperation and flirtatiousness, along with a million inther things, that are in that line.
JESSE, I loved how you expressed how you love all of the songs so much and couldn't pick a favorite. It showed how much you LOVE all of it. (HOW can you not?)
WILSON, I loved hearing how you had so many favorites and loved Christmas Bells because it encompasses the whole cast, which is so much fun. I loved the way Christmas Bells depicts this Christmas scene that they don't include in Hallmark comericalism, for some reason people usually gloss over those kind of aspects in Christmas, couldn't imagine why hhhhhmmmm... It really makes people think twice about Christmas and understand the context of RENT.
TAYE, it was awesome to hear that your favorite song was Without You. the lyrics in that can bring me to tears, it's so poetic and beatiful, I love the lines that start "But I know blue, only blue," so wonderful and tragic. This is the song where everybody in the movie theatre starts to cry like crazy, if they're not already.
ADAM, I'll Cover You reprise can bring anyone to tears, especially when Jesse is singing it. It brings such a sense of love, loss, tragedy, desperation, lonliness, and can TEAR you UP. How can you not miss Angel?
I LOVE EVERY SINGLE SONG I don't think Will I? and Life Support get enough credit, the lyrics are gorgeous. Another beauty of all of the songs are the melodies they are set to, like Will I? La Vie Boheme has the best lyrics I've ever heard.
Another thing about the love songs is any of them could pertain to any couple, they don't stereotype or even assume what kind of relationship it is, if you listen, Take Me or Leave Me, Without You and I'll Cover You sould be for any couple
The finale is incredible. The mood of Out Tonight makes me restless and want to get out.

To the cast: THANK YOU!!
I was dying to know what your favorite songs are from RENT. My favorites are...... ALL OF THEM!!!!
Love you all!

idina that was hilarious...
wilson - i miss christmas bells too. i love how the various stories and lines in that song weave together.
jesse - that is EXACTLY how i feel! i could never pick one favorite song :D
Posted by: Kate on 11/29/05 at 01:54 PM
Ditto most of the cast, my favorites are always changing. Although I would have to agree with Anthony and say that the "I'll Cover You" reprise is absolutely beautiful. I cry almost every time I listen to that song, it's just so sad and beautiful and moving to me. Again agreeing with Anthony, "What You Own"! Because as much as he loves to sing it, I love to listen to it! I love the harmonies, and the lyrics espicially, it's angry and powerful and hopeful all at the same time. Love love love to all of you!
Posted by: Jessy with a y on 11/29/05 at 02:08 PM
*addition* although, I have to say that "Will I?" gets me every time, too...and ironically enough, I was just listening to "Christmas Bells" today because I thought to myself "Wow, I haven't listened to 'Christmas Bells' in a really long time!" lol.
Posted by: Jessy with a y on 11/29/05 at 02:11 PM
OK another one of my favorites!!
Rosario- girl i loved what you said "we are not doing it at you we are doing it for us" it's so true!!
Jesse & Tracie- yeah my favorites change everyday to! haha
Wilson-I Miss Christmas Bells to! i loved all the different voices!
Idina- OK i wanna see you play MIMI ;-) "got a light?"
Adam-La Vie Bohemes lyrics are one of the best!!
Taye- With out you IS the best love song out there!
Anthony-ill cover you reprise gives me the chills! oh and what you own is amazing...the line "I'm not alone" gets me every time!
its really true there are to many songs for me to pick a favorite...i love La Vie Boheme! but i also love every other song...there are songs that make me cry (Without you)...songs that make me laugh (Today for you)...songs that make me wanna dance (out tonight/la vie boheme)...song that i just love (Take me or leave me)...songs that warm my heart (Ill cover you) and songs that give me the chills (ex: reprise of ill cover you / will I loose my dignity) i love them all!! PLUS it's not only the songs but also the moments within the songs...the little gestures or dances or kisses or tears...its just all to amazing!!!
love you all

i love all of the songs...but my favorite would have to be another day and without you
Posted by: sara on 11/29/05 at 02:29 PM
It's so hard to choose because (like most people)i'm what i call a Mood Listener. My favorite song depends on the mood i'm in. If i'm in a happy mood, it'll be la vie boheme or out tonight. Or when i'm having an evacuee day,i'm from New Orleans living in LA(quite a jump!!)it'll be Will I or without you
Posted by: Lawrence on 11/29/05 at 02:30 PM
My favorite song is La Vie Boheme. I sing it all the time! And Wilson, I really miss Christmas Bells too! That's my other favorite! I really love I'll Cover You Reprise it's so beautifully done! I love every single song though so who am I to talk? I love you guys!

WILSON. How I love thee. I love everything you sing. "Ill cover you" is fantastic. Especially in the movie, when you joined Jesse L. Martin on the "yeah yeah yeah!!" (on the original soundtrack its different, only he goes up.)Your voice is simply amazing. I've seen the movie 3 times already and of course I sob in the same place...I LOVE WILSON HEREDIA. omg You are amazing.

While Christmas Bells is just an amazing number and I was sad that it wasn't in the movie, I can totally see why it couldn't be there and Wilson nailed it right on.
La Vie Boheme is def. my favorite in the movie - there's just so much life and energy there.

Wilson, I am in love with Christmas Bells too!!
But my favorite songs changes a lot as well. First it was Another Day, then Tango:Maureen...but my top five songs would have to be:
1. Santa Fe (I love the beat and Jesse's voice...the song just makes me happy!)
2. I'll Cover You (so cute...I love the end part "With a thousand sweet kisses!"
3. Christmas Bells (The insanity of it all! All the voices at once, That's what I call organized noise!)
4. Finale B (I love how it combines most of the songs together!)
5. One Song Glory (Adam, the guitar...what could be better?)

That was terrific to hear what all of your favorites are...I had been wondering...
I don't know if I have just one, a couple of my favorite parts/songs didn't make it into the movie, like the end of Goodbye Love, and I do like Halloween by Mark, but I have to say one of most favorites is Rogers' One Song, Glory, love it, love it, love it....and Seasons of Love, as well as it was the song that first got me hooked on Rent!

This is a great question. I liked each of your answers for this question, even Idina's haha. I'm sure there are memories for each of the individiual songs, it was interesting to hear that many picked songs that they don't sing...
Glory from the OBCR was my "theme" how I wanted to live my life. I don't have a virus like Roger did, but I wanted the same thing as Roger. I want to kind of leave my mark before I depart from this world. But on the other hand, I have different reasons why I love each song.
I miss some of the songs from the OBCR in the soundtrack, but I understand why some of them were left out. I hope the DVD has some extension and has the songs from the soundtrack missing in the movie in it. It's interesting to relisten to both the soundtrack and the OBCR and almost compare. Because so many were from the OBC and actually recorded the OBCR, you can hear changes in the songs. I actually like that each of the actors took the songs they originally song and made it different. Also, adding two different actresses into it and having them sing adds a different aspect. The first time I saw the movie, it was interesting to see what parts were purely spoken directly from the lyrics.

Yay!
Again, I love seeing you guys together off-stage/camera.
Jesse- What you said is so true! You cannot have one favorite song because...
a. They are all AMAZING
b. Most of them have different pieces of other songs woven into them (like Anthony said about "I'll Cover You (reprise)")
c. Ummm, they are all AMAZING
d. They are all so fun, sweet, and not to mention, of course, AMAZING (I stole from La Vie Boheme :))
In conclusion, they are all AMAZING!!! Teehee. There should definetely be like a different discussion on a diffferent song every day!
I love hearing you guys and what you have to say! I want to meet you all!!!! Thank you for this AMAZING gift. I love you all so so so much, and its nice to know that you love us as the fans as well! You are all AMAZING! Love love love.

It was definitely cool to see what y'all favorites are, especially Tracie who's been a fan like us for sooo long. "Another Day" and "What You Own" have been my more constant favorites, especially since I'm quite partial to Adam's voice. Nice pipes, man. I totally get Jesse, though, with how his favorite changes every 10 minutes...because I do that, too. And the movie changed my favorites, too. "I'll Cover You (Reprise)" and "Rent" became 2 of my absolute favorites from the movie. My mom loves "La Vie Boheme." She took me to see the movie Thanksgiving Day because she knew I couldn't wait to see it. I've seen it 3 times already, and honestly I wanna go back to the theater and see it again. It needs to have a quick DVD release. Hey, actors and webmaster, see if you can maybe help expedite that for me. At least for the sake of my poor, college student wallet. It doesn't like going to the movies this often, and I will be seeing it at least once more in the next week. Wilson, though, got to me when he mentioned "Christmas Bells" because that's always first on my playlist when I hit the OBC recording. Anyway, I hope you all had an awesome Thanksgiving!!!

I would have to agree with almost everyone, my favorite song changes all the time. But right now I really love both I'll Cover You's, Your Eyes, Without You, and Christmas Bells. I just love the whole excitement of it. Amazing, thank you for posting <3

Yay! Wilson and I have the same favorite song! :)
My favorite part of the entire show has to be
"I do not deserve you, Angel. Give, give, all you do is give."
"Kiss me - it's beginning to snow."

Im just responding to random comments I read up there.
At one of the Rent showings I went to, some dopes were giggling at the ultasweet kiss in I'll Cover You. I wanted to turn around and smack them one.
I think that Without You was the most powerful song in the movie. There are so many emotions thrown at you - with Mimi's drug overdose, Angel's decline (I burst into tears at that clip of Angel and Collins on the train..) and the people at the life support meetings slowly disappearing.
Just, bravo. There is no way to express how fabulous you all are, and how fabulous this show is. There is something seriously wrong with anyone who is not touched by this movie.

I have a special request for RENT blogs. If possible, does anyone have a picture where we can see Angel's nails? i was wondering about the color. If not, i'm seeing the movie for my 6th time on Saturday. I have some nail polosih on now that i think is pretty close to matching but sadly, my memory really isnt that gret. Thanks

I have seen Rent 4 times since it came out last week and I love it. I'm a theatre education major in SC and saved like a majority of my spare money so that I could go see RENT on broadway this summer! I knew the music and loved the show. And like everyone said, my favorite song changes daily. I just have to say that the movie really did justice to play in every aspect and I think that the cast was perfect and true to their characters.
Posted by: Jessica Francis on 11/29/05 at 05:51 PM
"We're not doing it at you, we're doing it for us." Yeah, that's going into my bww.com signature right now. Beautiful, right on the mark, Rosario.
Join us who mourn for Christmas Bells, Wilson.
"What You Own" is such a great song, I always have to run out and do something...anything when I hear it!
Posted by: Bethy on 11/29/05 at 06:05 PM
I have to say I agree with Tracie, at this moment I love Another Day, but I think all of the songs take on a different quality and mood that everyone can relate to. The music is so easy to get lost in for its mere aesthetic quality and variartion; but each time I listen to the soundtrack I'm amazed by the lyrics and how they define the characters and their outlooks on life. The lyrics are so honest and rooted in love and were performed so beautifully in the movie. I loved every moment of it!
Posted by: Jenny on 11/29/05 at 06:10 PM
Oh wow these videos are really neat! haha. I have seen the movie twice already and I am going to go see it again in a few days! I have also seen it on stage once. I love Rent so much.
But anyway! I have to give credit where credit is due!
IDINA: Holy wow! You were incredible. I must say, that you really did amazingly, all my friends and I dressed up to go see the movie opening night and I got the pleasure of dressing up like my favorite character, Maureen! It was awesome, I cried, and I laughed. I love it! Props because you are my favorite! :) Thank you for being amazing!
JESSE: You my good sir, have one heck of a voice. Collins became a new favorite character for me after seeing it in the movie and on stage! Loved you!
WILSON: You are THE perfect Angel! I absolutely adore you! I was so impressed with everything you had done
ADAM: Just awesome, One Song Glory made me cry so much, it was fantastic. I loved it all so much!
TAYE: Benny is the protagonist I believe, but I think he's got heart, just because I know that you have heart! I loved it!
ROSARIO: In the original Daphne did really well, but sweetie I'm not going to lie I love what you have done with the part! You have a hell of a voice! And you are so beautiful!
TRACIE: Same for you sweetie! Incredible! You play quite a cute lesbian! hehe. Seasons Of Love was gorgeous!
ANTHONY: Awesome as always, La Vie Boheme had me smiling so so so big! It's so cool! Awesome awesome work!
I know this was super long, but you guys deserve it! Everything was fantastic. My favorite song changes all the time, but in the movie the funniest was Take Me Or Leave Me, and the saddest was I'll Cover You Reprise. But they were all wonderful!
A complete and total RENT nut,

Every song is amazing. La vie boheme encompasses everything in an extraordinary way. I love when Rosario comes in to Another Day. Every song is beautiful and the message of each song gives me chills. I know I say this every time, but you are all incredible. I was talking to my Computer Imaging teacher today and he said that he went to New York when Rent first came out with his wife and her students (she teaches theater) and they got to see Rent with the original broadway cast. He told me that after the show there was a question and answer and then he and his wife and the students got to meet the cast. I was shaking as he told me. I begged him to bring in pictures! He also told me that his students followed Anthony for a few blocks. Anthony was very nice and turned around to talk to them. My French teacher also got to see the original broadway cast and she met Adam afterward. I asked, "Isn't he incredibly sweet?" And she smiled and replied, "Yes, he really is." My dream is to meet you guys. I think I would burst.
Also, on the "what you did when you found out you got the role" post, I saw a comment from someone who asked Adam for a picture after seeing Aida. She said that Adam, you replied, "Only if you're in it with me, Honey." (or something to that effect) That literally gave me chills. I hope that one day I am lucky enough to meet you, as well as the rest of the unbelievably talented cast.

..but wait...we still don't know what Adam's favorite song is, other than the 'people living...' quote.
Also, does anyone know where I can get an image of "No day but today" in the sans-serif font? I want it tattooed but I want that font and I can't find it on the net anywhere :-/

I change everyday too-
My current favorites are La Vie Boheme and Take Me or Leave Me ( I was surprised no cast memeber listed this as a favorite)
Can't wait to see the movie again, thanks for all the entries!

It's extremely hard to pick one favorite. I like certain lines in certain songs, and they are all very powerful and very emotional and the entire cast has done an amazing job with them. I think it's a tie, though. If I had to pick right now...
The top two are Light my Candle and Take Me or Leave Me.
Light my candle, becuase it's fun and flirty and I agree with Idina, I'd love to play the role of Mimi, just for that song, and for Out Tonight, because that looked like a LOT of fun!
And I picked Take Me or Leave Me because it's powerful. Idina and Tracie have such strong amazing voices and to see the two of you go at it like that was just... it was WOW!
I hope that all the cast members get to read all this, because it's totally deserved. You all did fabulous. Continued success and happiness to all of you!
Love,
Alexandra

Last night, I listened to the lyrics and context of Love Heals and made a RENT REVELATION, which I have yet to hear anyone comment on.
LOVE HEALS was written for an organization helping the victims of AIDS founded by one of the first hetrosexual females to contract AIDS from a 1 night stand. Jonathon Larson wrote LOVE HEALS as his effort and gift to her organization.
IN LOVE HEALS, THERE'S A LINE THAT GOES "WHEN YOU LOOK OUT TO THE SEA, THAT'S WHERE I'LL BE, THAT'S WHERE YOU FIND ME"
AFTER JONATHON'S DEATH, A FRIEND FOUND A JOURNAL OF HIS THAT STATED WHEN HE DIED, HE WANTED THERE TO 'BE MUSIC, DANCING, AND HIS ASHES TO BE THROWN OUT INTO THE OCEAN.
The connection is beautiful, and means a lot more, I think, than the simple fact that it shows Jonathon loved the ocean, which he did. Now, listen to the song again, and you'll find how it celebrates the true essence of Jonathon because it is written 1st person and celebrates how is spirit is EVERYWHERE, which is beautiful.
Now that's some heavy stuff, man...
I couldn't go to sleep last night because I was mulling over the connection last night and realized how everyone who has experienced RENT is so lucky because of how beautiful and honest Jonathon's messages are.
No Day but Today
Love

Wow, this is hard.. I love all of the songs. I cant really pick a favorite, because it would change by tommorow. Currently though, it's 'Today 4 U'. I think I've listened to that song about 5 times today. 'La Vie Boheme' is a great song too.. The entire aspect of it, and the fact that its fun to sing when Im at school, i havent gotten caught yet..not that it's a crime to sing, but some of the things in 'La Vie Boheme' would have my principal giving me detentions for a month.
Wow, my first comment. be proud.. I am still suffering Seperation Anxiety. I've seen Rent three times in six days..Okay, the first time was on the 23rd, at 3:55 Central Standard Time (Im an Iowan..joy, talk about not having a creative atmosphere..all there is is Corn)the second time was on the 25th, at 2:45 Central Standard time (I think..I know it was on the 25th..just cant remember the time)and the third was yesterday.. the 28th at yet again 3:55 Central Standard time.. we were a wee bit late yesterday..but we didnt miss anything..just a preview or two. Going home yesterday was kinda bad, it started snowing..oh and off the record, my car doors were frozen this morning.

"Take me or Leave me" was my ALL time fave. it has been since umm... '97 I think. But La vie Boheme is amazing!!!! Everything is perfect!
I LOVE YOU GUYS
ESPECIALLY TRACIE!!!

WHAT YOU OWN....b/c the connection between Anthony and Adam's voices are out of control! I am in love with you both =)

I love all the songs as well! No one said "Take me Baby" Loooove it! Not as deep as others, but such a good scene, Idina and Tracie are awesome!

I tend to agree with everyone that there are too many good songs from this show to pick a favorite. I have the soundtrack on in the car every time I get in. And you'll be happy to know that another generation of Rentheads is beginning. My 6 year old son asks me to put on the music when it's not on. I only hope that one day he will understand the message of the story and live No day but today!

Oh, Wilson read my MIND! I absolutely love Christmas Bells! I miss it so much! I love all of the energy and different ends just starting to weave together into something cohesive...
"Wait, wait, wait! You said she was sweet?!"
"Let's go eat! I'll just get fat, it' the one vice left when you're dead meat!" *L*

I have so many that I like I can't just pick and choose one song. I guess if I really had to pick just one it would be One Song Glory. I loved and I still love Adam's voice in the movie.

Without You
Seasons of Love

I miss Christmas Bells too. What a gorgeous, huge number. I'm such a sucker for that stuff. Even after listening to it for years and years I'm sure I still haven't heard everything in that song.
Rosario's explaination of La Vie Boheme . . . dang. I couldn't have said it better myself. That song is my favorite in both versions. It gives me chills just thinking about it.
Ooh. Okay, I'm still on a bit of a high from the movie, because I saw it for the second time just a couple of hours ago. So, wow. Just, thank you all for making this happen, and wow.
Posted by: Melissa on 11/30/05 at 01:15 AM
Ok I lovelovelove La Vie Boheme, but my favorite has to be Santa Fe. It just does it for me, now tomorrow I'll be saying that it is Another Day, so my pick is fickle at times. I have a special place for all the songs Roger sings because I think that Adam Pascal has an amazing voice. I have his CD'sModel Prizoner and Civilian, he has a very David Bowie/Freddie Mercury type voice which I love.
Rosario did an excellent job,I was scaptical at first because in my mond Daphne Rubin-Vega was MiMi,but Rosario floored me and I applaud her. I knew she was talented, being a fan of hers sincethe Kids, and singing on Cd's like Andre 3000s, but she mademe proud. Go ahead Rosario.
Wilson may be the most beautiful woman I've seen in my life. I look at pics of him and I'm like Damn, you look better than half the women I know.
Jesse, well there are no words to conveyhow much I love your work. Like I said Santa Fe is my favorite today. Your talent is something that all will humble themselves to.
Anthony, you are the seemless glue that holds the production and movie together imo. Your voice isn't to shabby either.
Tracie, another that I watched closly because she was a newby. Let me tell you, you struted your stuff during Take Me Or Leave Me and I was a strutting right with you. In the theater I was in we were encouraged to sing and dance along. Everyone was singing Take Me Or Leave Me.
Idina, I think you are incredibly beautiful and talented. I alsoenjoyed you during Take Me Or Leave Me, Over the Moon was like I remembered it. Offbeat, but getting the message across, "That's Bull". phenominal
Taye, more than just a pretty face. I've been talling people that for many years and now there is NO denying it. You played your role and you made he hate you one minute and love you the next. The lap dog of NY and you played it oh-so-well.
Adam, I have been a fan of yours for years. Aida is also one of my personal favorite, your voice is infactuating and at the end of Another Day I cry everytime I listen to it, because the emotion jumps off of the speacker and dances in my eardrum. I hear Rogers pain,I see his tears, I feel him trembling, and I smell the disease. You are successful at being the only person who can sing and make me cry over and over again, notjust with Another Day. Take Your Powder, Take Your Candle.
Posted by: Kayla on 11/30/05 at 01:35 AM
OMG, how cute is everyone?! It's cool to hear everyone's sort of favorites but everybody seems to feel the same way we all do, it changes. You might have a fave but depending on what's going on in your world at that moment, at that minute, one song will mean more for one time of your life than another.
Posted by: Geoffrey on 11/30/05 at 01:38 AM
I'm with Jesse on this one. Every day I have a new favorite! Wilson, I missed Christmas Bells too! All the different voices and things going on, everyone brought together by love, your line "But she brought us together!", sorely missed. Wouldn't have made one ounce of sense in the movie, but still missed.
Posted by: Lauryn on 11/30/05 at 03:49 AM
Whenever I have to decide what my favorite song is I always come up with 5; Another Day, La Vie Boheme, Light my candle, Rent, and I'll COver you (reprise). haha Whenever I turn on my CD player to just play one song....... that one song (whichever one it is) sucks me in and I end up listening to the whole soundtrack.
Posted by: Nichole on 11/30/05 at 04:19 AM
My favorite varies as the days pass. That's the lovely thing about Rent. There's a song for every emotion. Currently, my favorite is La Vie Boheme...felling rebellious!
Posted by: Misty on 11/30/05 at 06:46 AM
take me or leave me is my fav..I've been using it as a tag for almost 8 years now..dang im getting old
one of my favorite lines is 'i'd be happy to die for a taste of what angel had, someone to live for, unafraid to say i love you'..its just so overwhelming emotional and i get a little lump every time
i wish there was a contest to win a date with a cast member, i could see myself and ms. idina sharing a couple apple martini's
Posted by: Jen on 11/30/05 at 07:51 AM
my favorite songs have always been "la Vie Boheme","light my candle" "today 4 U"........REALLY ALL OF THEM!!!!!!!!!! If I continue, I will just be naming all the songs.
I have OBC "seasons of love" on my cell phone. My kids even sing "Today 4 U" in the car.
The Music encompases so much feeling and importance, there is no way to choose a favorite.
I agree with Jesse, if you'd ask me 9 years ago, When I first saw this, I'd probaly have a different answer.
Posted by: leila on 11/30/05 at 09:49 AM
My fave? Currently it's La Vie Boheme, but I'm sure it will change in the next 5 minutes!
Posted by: Kelsey on 11/30/05 at 11:42 AM

I had never seen Rent until the movie came out, and I was absolutely enthralled with it. The story was so powerful and all of you portrayed your characters beautifully. To Ms. Dawson and Mr. Pascal, I also love La Vie Boheme and the line about living with and not dying from disease was particularly touching. In an age so terrorized by HIV/AIDS, not only in this country, but around the world, I loved hearing about people not giving up and continuing to fight it. It's a fight I truly think we can win if we just fight hard enough.

La Vie Boheme will always be it for me. The lyrics are amazing and, Anthony, your little dance at the end of B was so wonderful. I reenact it constantly with my friends, and I'm always Mark. And then I end up being everyone else too, because I'm the chief Rent freak of my little circle. Hopefully that'll change soon...
I actually made a shirt that says "Emotion, devotion, to causing a commotion, creation, vacation..." on the front and then, in small letters on the back where my hair will cover it, "mucho masturbation."

That is such a difficult question, and it is one of the most frequently asked questions that people ask me when they find out what a huge RENT fan I am. My list of answers always change, as Jesse mentioned. But I must say that my absolute favorite to see performed is "Christmas Bells." And everyone thinks I'm so strange because of it, so thank you,Wilson, for agreeing with me :)

I love everyone of these songs although La Vie Boheme is probably at the top of the list...I have seen this movie only once so far but plan to see it many more times and buy it when it comes out...It made me think about some many different things in life and i got to see other perspectives of life also...
Posted by: Kayla on 11/30/05 at 05:05 PM
I definitely love ALL of the songs, too. However, "Goodbye Love" and "What You Own" are my favorites. I can totally feel Adam's emotions when he sings "Gave a mile to who?" And Rosario and Tracie sound so great together.
I love WYO because Adam and Anthony's voices blend perfectly together.
There are a couple of songs, while I always loved, I loved so much more after seeing the movie. The songs are the title track and "La Vie Boheme". Hearing them in the movie itself gave me major goose bumps.
Posted by: Oberon on 11/30/05 at 05:11 PM
We all sound like broken records here, but I must join the bandwagon and say that I TOO love ALL the songs! I've had the original broadway cast album for over 10 years and have had the movie soundtrack since the day it came out....I have to confess, I listen to it at least once a day (often a lot more)! I agree with Jesse that our favorites change...BUT, one song that will ALWAYS AND FOREVER be my favorite is I'll Cover You (both of them!). Collins and Angel are beautiful, and Jesse's voice in Reprise....WOW! Course, that's in everything he's in!
Thanks to all of you for keeping us excited by doing these posts. I lookforward to checking the blog daily to see if we can see more from you! You are all WONDERFUL!

I just think that there are no songs more moving than Halloween/Goodbye Love, Light My Candle and I Should Tell You!

Wow, tough question. Gotta agree with Jesse on that one-- they're all great.
Have Fun Times!

I love Halloween, and was very sad that they cut it from the movie. Also <3 I'll Cover You -Reprise. And of course...La Vie Boheme!
No day but today! You all did an absolutely outstanding job! I was worried that I may have set my standards too high for this movie, but it exceeded all of what I expected. Amazing job, everyone!
Posted by: Angela on 11/30/05 at 09:27 PM
My current favorite is either "Another Day" or I'm actually quite partial to "Will I?" and "Finale B". I just think they are all beautiful! But I agree with Tracie and Jesse, I can never really pick a true favorite because it is constantly changing.
Posted by: Jackie on 11/30/05 at 09:30 PM
I think my favoites are "Out Tonight"."Take me or leave me". "LA Beboem". "Seasons of love". "Light my candle". "I should tell you" Ahhh what am i doing ALL OF THE SONGS ARE MY PERSONAL FAVORITE!!!!!!!!!

AHHH. I don't know!
When Rosario and Adam started out with "La Vie Boheme", I was like, "YES. ABSOLUTELY. Favorite!" And then Tracie got into "Another Day", and I said, "Wait! No! Yeah! I love that one, too!" And then Wilson and Taye and Anthony mentioned their favorites, and I agreed with all of them.
I suppose this is what makes me a RENThead...

La Vie Boheme & Seasons of Love are without a doubt my favorites from the movie. As for the broadway show, I would have to agree with Wilson, I love Christmas Bells. I just love how in these three songs everyone is together singing.
Posted by: Angela on 12/02/05 at 04:09 PM
how can you truly pick one song? I love them all! I listen to the Rent CD everyday I swear I love it. But if I had to choose, my favorite song would either be "One song, glory", "Would you light my candle?" or "Without You"...
I LOVE THESE BLOGS FROM YOU GUYS PLEASE KEEP THEM COMING! I LOVE YOU ALL!!!! :-)

wonderful blog! i loved all of your responses. my time is short though, so i'll just respond to rosario. rosario, i loved what you had to say about 'la vie boheme.' while i noticed the things you said, like appreciating the line about "let he among us without sin etc.", i had never really put it into context with the whole song. your words really gave me a new, wonderful perspective on this song. thank you for that!
much love, xoxoxox

My favorite song from Rent was Seasons of Love because it made me feel like all the acters where on the road and touring for a long time and the way you sing mad me cry and it was so not forget full and it was a great movie and the first time i saw it it made me want to see it again and again and again now i have the soundtrack of all the songs and i listen to them ever night before I go to bed and seasons of love puts me to sleep and I lovee the movie so much and I love Seasons Of love so much

I love seasons of love, because it has the whole gang together.

When people ask me this question I seriously just start naming off all of them. But the ones that continually rank up there are "Take Me or Leave Me" and "Tango: Maureen", because Tracie's voice amazes me and the onstage chemistry she has with Idina and Anthony. Her voice is like musical perfection. I listen to the soundtrack constantly...I LOVE THEM ALL!!!
Posted by: Brandi on 12/03/05 at 07:37 PM
I agree with all of you, there's so many to choose from...La Vie Boheme, You Okay Honey? (Which I miss when I play the Movie Sountrack) Take Me or Leave Me, Another Day...I guess the best for me would have to be LVB, Tango: Maureen, I'll Cover You, and Today 4 U! But mostly because Angel rules so much ^_^ Wilson, you are awesome!

I have so many favorite songs. Well they are all my favorite. I love seasons of love, rent, one song glory, would you light my candle, i really love when roger and mimi are outside during the party and they sing i should tell you OMG i love that song. Without you is so good and i just love all the songs at the end.
Posted by: Dana on 12/04/05 at 03:22 PM
Thank you guys for that. Loved your thoughts! =) For me, I just can't pick, I love all of them (I know it's generic, but ah well)...I switch around a lot too, they're all SO wonderful. And as Chris pointed out once, that's part of what makes RENT so powerful, that each and every song leaves an impact and not just a few.
Just wanted to say one thing, that I've always loved "Life Support" and "Will I", but having never seen the Broadway show, seeing those two songs in actual motion with the facial expressions and everything as opposed to just coming out of my CD player...wow...it killed me, seriously, those two songs made my heart burn. The grief and feeling that came out of them were just awe-inspiring and moving. Yeah. My two cents =)
Rosario & Adam: I LOVED LOVED LOVED how you spoke about La Vie Boheme. It's so true. I'm so glad you said that, because I hadn't been able to express it in those words, and my head kept nodding more vigorously as you went on. It's SUCH a wonderful song.
Tracie: Oh yeah. Another Day is so powerful. I totally agree...and I love how it plays these two strong-willed people against each other, who are both so different in character. And yeah, mine changes all the time =)
Idina: Ahhh so cute!! I'd love to hear you sing "Light My Candle"...haha it is very flirty.
Jesse & Wilson: Yep. They're all suuuuch good songs, you just can't pick one. I remember copying out the OBC recording song list for my friend, and I was putting stars next to the ones I REALLY LOVED, and I ended up tearing that and doing a whole new one cuz I was putting stars by every single one. Hehe.
Taye: Oh yes, "Without You" is SO incredibly powerful, and sad. The movie visuals combined with the music is just...overwhelming. In a good way.
Anthony: I know, "I'll Cover You" (Reprise) makes me squeeze up inside every time I listen to it. It's one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard..completely agree. And "What You Own" is one powerhouse of a song.

I like One Song Glory, Seasons of Love, No Day But Today, and La Vie Boheme. Each of those songs speak to me in some way or another and the actors who have performed them in this movie did such an amazing job in making them speak to me.

So guys I have just seen the movie, (OUCH! I feel the tomatoes hitting me in the back of my head for waiting so long.) Babies, i laughed till i cried, and cried until i could cry no more. To the fabulous cast of RENT, you have endowed me with more spirit and heart than you will ever know! You all have shown me what true actors are, and i plan to excel further in my craft until i make it all the way! To William J., you blew me away! I could not believe your performance. I will never forget your portrayl of Angel, and neither will the world. Your character proves that young gay teens don't have to be ashamed of who they are... that they can be anything they want to be...and you porved that through Angel. I will say that my favorite camera shot was in the end of Angel, just sitting and smiling. To Tracie, girl you got it goin' on!!! You are adorable, and girl you can sing... so keep on keepin' on. Idina, words cannot express how much i love you, you've blown me away in Wicked, and you have blown me even further in RENT. I mooed with you honey! Taye, you've got a beautiful woman beside you... and you've got the talent to stay at the top of your game. Jesse, man i could go on for hours how Collins really affected me, and touched my heart. Your cute, and have got a fabulous voice, your character of Collins really touched my heart. Rosario, you are AMAZING!!! I could not believe your performance. You blew me away! You are stunning, and that voice is amazing...I wanted to take you oooooouuuuuutttt tonight! To Adam and Anthony, thank you so much for your true to life performances. The roles of Roger and Mark will be forever immortalized because fo your work. thank you. And thank you all. From the deepest part of myself I thank you for allowing me to be witness to your work. Thank you for making RENT an eye opening/ heartwrenching journey. This movie/ this play, these characters have shaped me into the person Iam today. I see and hear the characters in my head... that is the mark of a truly amazing performance. When you wake up singing, and dancing around your room with not a care in the world, that pretty much qualifies you as a fan. I love you all, and i thank you from the bottom of my heart, in allowing me to truly say... and live 'No day but today!'

heeeey there - gotta light?!
haha. that makes me laugh everytime I watch that. Idina & Tracie are absolutely beauuuutiful. i love those 2. I have alot of favorite songs. Just like, parts of the song. Except for Take me or Leave me. That whole song is great. I love it because you really get to see Joanne & stuff. I'm a huuuuugeeee fan of Tracie & Idina.
I'm so glad that they cast Tracie for the part of Joanne. In my eyes she is the PERFECT person for Joanne, but thats just me. And then hearing her story gives me hope along with a lot of other people I know. RENT actually got me interested in acting & singing, and made me realize that I'm actually REALLY good in both of them. I can even hit high C. <33 TRACIE, IDINA, AND THE REST OF THE CAST, keep up the greaaaaat work. I'll be watching for your new movies coming out. i know Idina has one coming out next year and Tracie is working on one. Something about the Devil In Prada. Interesting, iLOVEYOUGUYS!! Keep blogging, it makes my life more interesting, k? haha<33

Posted by: krissy h on 03/08/06 at 05:41 PM
My favorite song will constantly change on a day to day basis, but I do love La Vie Boheme. It's a break from all of the heartwrenching, emotional numbers (not saying I don't love all of them as well) but it brings all the characters together in a happy, upbeat atmosphere. Not to mention all of the actors performing it make it look like it was tremendously fun to do. Thank you Adam, Anthony, Jesse, Wilson, Idina, Rosario and Tracie you guys are amazing!!!

I did not ever stop to think about the major issues that we face today in our lifetime, dealing with issues from drugs,HIV/AIDS, and poverty as it has become so mainstream today that we tend not to address them a little more, and I know this all too well with how this affects me and my life back home, and to see this in a movie like RENT which I think addresses these real life issues today in the way this movie hits home for alot of people like myself and to see it truly being expressed the way it should be, and the way each of these actors/actresses drive it home throught the entire movie makes this movie a BEST FEATURE of the year and i feel like it deserves more recognition and credit then what it already has and I want to thank the people who made this so possible to own and I don't own this movie yet, but I am now more aware and a true believer that this can be an inspiration in my life....The actors/ Actresses I love u...Brian...San Diego, CA
Posted by: Brian thompson on 03/15/06 at 01:27 PM
Ah, who could ever pick just one?
Wilson: First of all, you are incredible and I love Angel. Second, I agree, it's too bad that Christmas Bells wasn't included. I'm glad the "coat moment" was worked into I'll Cover You which is definitely one of my favorites.
Jesse: Reprise of I'll Cover You is absolutely beautiful...gives me goosebumps and makes me cry.
Idina: I'm totally with you on the Light My Candle. That was the first song I really got hooked on. So fun, yet deeper than that.
So yeah, pretty much I love them all and as soon as I choose a favorite I remember something else, but what I really care about is that you guys are all amazing and I love you and I love the show. Thank you so much!

i have to say that i absolutely love this movie, but, i think i fell in love with the music first! we sang seasons of love in chorus in my school and the first time i heard it, i got chills all over me!! and that's a good sign, i only get chills when i really get moved from a song or a movie and i did get them! so at first, seasons of love was definitly my favorite, but, once i saw this movie, i absolutely fell in love with every single song in it!!! i can't get enough of it!! ever song is so unique and so touching, they make me cry and at the same time, they make me laugh!! i've wathed the movie 9 times so far and i can't wait to watch it again and get to listen to the music some more!! i love it all!!
love,

I LOVE all the songs, i think they all have a certain power in them takes you somewhere and never lets you out(every song including the musical lyrics). But if i had to choose i would agree with wilson. Christmas bells is definately one of my favorite songs. It brings such beauty in the begining with all those voices comming at you and then theres such sorrow when collins doesnt think he deserves angel and theres a happiness when roger appologizes to mimi and asks her out and that line "and its begining to snow" its just beautiful. I loved when in the musical when they found mimi and she was like "cold! cold! would you light my candel" and when dhe was like "dont waste your money on me me me me me! On the movie soundtrack i LOVE LOVE LOVE "goodbye love" even though its not in the actual movie. But i practically love all the songs!
Posted by: gennylyn on 04/12/06 at 11:10 PM
i'm with wilson. i heart all the songs but....... la vie boheme might be a half a knotch above every other song. so i agree with rosario too.
idk
i love them all!
