21 Days!!! Three Weeks!!!! OMG!!!!
It seems like yesterday we were waiting like 6-7months! I cannot wait for the movie. I saw the T.V. spot for the first time last night and I literally screamed and ran into the living room when I heard Anthony Rapp's voice. My husband can't wait for the movie to open too!--he thinks I'll shut up about it after I see it! -I doubt it! Please, Please, Please, please film the Red Carpet primere and post it!!! Please make the DVD filled with TONS of extras! And PLEASE don't make us wait longer than 6months for the DVD!

Squeee! I just saw the trailer on TV for the first time, on CTV in Ontario, Canada

every time I watch one of these clips, I am reminded more and more of how excited I am that this movie is actually being made. it seems unreal to me, so I can only imagine what it must feel like to be one of the people involved in its production. what a message...what a story to tell. Jonathon's story will be told. struggle is not in vain, and this film will touch a nation.

Tracie, I must say that out of everything that worried me about the movie, I was most worried about you and how you would fit in with all the cast members. But girl, you have totally won me over! Can I just say that "Take Me or Leave Me" sounds A-MAZING! You step right up to Idina and show her she ain't the only one in this musical who can belt out a note! And the "Seasons of Love" solo is beautiful, absolutely beautiful. The first time I heard your take on the infamous octave jump, I had tears in my eyes, honestly. Although I have never seen Rent, I've been in love with it from the moment I heard it. The first song I ever heard was "Today For You Tomorrow For Me" and after that night it's just been hooked on me. Rent is the one thing were i can get my emotions out and learn to deal with them. Without Rent i would never have gotten through my friends death. Her death hit me the most of all. I still can't believe i will never see her again. I don't even remmeber the last time i talked to her. It must have been in 1st or 2nd grade. I miss her with all my heart.

Hi, I am a vocal performance major in college, who was displaced by Hurricane Katrina. My main focus is classical, but I have been told I have the pipes to play Joanne onstage. I was a little apprehensive hearing that the roles of Joanne and Mimi were not going to be played by the original cast members, but you have surpassed all of my expectations. All my CD's were left in New Orleans, so I have been deprived of my music this semester. Buying the movie soundtrack has revived me, and I can't thank you enough. You can't see it, but every time I start to listen to it I start to tear up. You all have been one of the few positives in my life these past few months. This means so much to me. For those of us who were too young to see the original cast, seeing 6 out of 8 of the main characters, and the other two doing an amazing job, is a dream come true. I have been saving money this semester, so I can see the movie in theatres a million times. Again you all have been one of the few joys and lights in my life these past few months, and I do not think I could have made it this far without the movie and soundtrack to look forward to. You all are angels, and my prayers are with you always. Thank you for your gift to us.

oh my goodness! i am 18 now and i have been a rent fan ever since i was 7 and ive never even seen the show. but my mom has so she got me hooked. all through high school in choir we sung seasons of love... then in a concer t a friend and i sang Take me for what i am. then our Senior Graduation song was... you guessed it "Seasons of Love" i love this musical so much, and cant wait to see you in theatre. just think.. ive never seen it before so you adn the others are going to be my first experience to what its like. i'm excited

What a phenomenal voice!!! Gave me chills! I have a 9 year old daugther, very creative and cute as can be with a heart of gold who wants to save the world and dance and sing through life! I'm so blessed to have her! But with even the new movie Chicken Little released, she wants to see RENT!!!! Every time the trailer comes on she says "Mommy I want to see that! We gotta go see that!" It happened... The other day I was listening to the OBS and when it came to Seasons of Love (and subsequently just about every other Joanne lyric) I felt there was something wrong, out of place. I then listened to the movie sound track and realized that I prefer your interpretation to the original. lol I never thought it'd happen, because "the original is always the best". Not so, as I love the humanity you bring, your portrayal (at least vocally) is more "human". Instead of seeing Joanne as a victim of Maureen, I find that she's one tough broad who could just as easily land another quality set of legs if things with Maureen didn't work out-she's just in LOVE and doesn't know how to handle it.

Perhaps it's because it's still new, but your portrayal makes Joanne sound like she won't fall in to a sobbing mess if she's dumped. I know there's no animosity between the originator and yourself, so I don't say this to offend. It's just really fantastic to see what you've done with the character and how you've handled all the press that goes along with it for the first time. It's so much fun to see you so giddy about the whole process and I can't wait to see you in your upcoming projects. lol All this and I've not even seen the movie yet. All the best to you Tracie. ;)

It's just incredible that you could go from being one of Us to being one of Them, the stars we worship so much. It makes you so much more of a real person, that much more reachable, and it gives those of us who want to perform one day proof that someone CAN go from the bottom to the top.

Can you believe it's already November? I sure can't! It feels like two weeks ago, it was July and I was seeing the trailer on Coming Attractions for the first time and dancing around my living room, crying my eyes out due to sheer happiness.

The question is, however: Is it wrong that I would sell my family to science for the opportunity to go to the premiere and hug Adam and meet all of you for fifteen minutes? I figure I'd pose the question to you, considering you're truly just like us and super geeked to be part of it all and you'd find it more relatable and amusing.

I absolutely adore you, Tracie, you remind me of how I'd be in your predicament, except I'd be lusting after Adam the entire time hahaha. Yes, I'm a wee bit of an Adam fangirl, but that's not the point!

The point is you're soooo talented and I'm so envious of the opportunity you've worked for.
