Thank you for all the gifts that you are giving us fans. I know I've said this before, but I'll say it again: these interviews and clips and updates are the highlight of my day.

I just wanted to say thank you to all of you for making this movie. I've never seen it on Broadway, and I LOVE it. You all did such an amazing job, and I can't imagine seeing this movie or any other play with anyone other than the eight of you! I love the movie so much that I've seen it four times and I don't plan on stopping. I tell everyone how great it is and then tell them to go see RENT! You all looked amazing at the red carpet. Thank you again for making this movie and I hope that you all get to read these, because I promise you us fans, we aren't going anywhere, we love it and I hopefully speak for most of us when I say we will continue to support you all in all your upcoming projects.

Hey, I've been following the whole RENT blog (save for the fact that I don't really comment much)... But the movie was amazing! Okay so RENT blew me away and I loved every minute of it. I cried I laughed, and I jsut can't even believe how awesome it was.

You all were fantastic!

My friends and I dressed up to go see it on the very first day, I dressed up as Maureen, and it was fantastic! We were all so happy to be seeing it. We all saw it on stage, not on Broadway unfortunately so seeing the original cast + the awesome Tracie Thoms and Rosario Dawson, was spectacular!

IDINA: My favorite character has always been Maureen, and getting to pretend to be Maureen, and dressing up with my friends was so cool! haha. Umm seriously you were incredible, Over the Moon was fantasic times a thousand. Take me or Leave me was so hilarious and great! Just awesome! Thank you for being you and being so talented! haha. Sweetie it was incredible, anyone who thinks otherwise is just plain silly!

TRACIE: A Renthead getting to be in RENT is so awesome and I am very glad it was you who got Joanne cause honey you rocked! Love it!

ROSARIO: Fantastic. Super sexy, not going to lie. You really kicked some major ass. I loved it so much. You have a beautiful voice!

JESSE: "Merry Christmas Bitches" was the best line ever only tied with IDINA's "There will always be women in rubber flirting with me!" So good Jesse! I loved it all the way!

ANTHONY: Superb! I just can't express how amazing it was. And La Vie Boheme was just so awesome. My God. I love it!

ADAM: One Song Glory was killing me it was so awesome! Wow, fantastic job! Such an awesome voice man!

TAYE: Even though Benny is the antagonist, I totally believe he has heart, cause Mr. Diggs you have heart and there is no way your character couldn't! Fantasic man!

WILSON: The very perfect Angel. You have really incredible legs by the way! haha. I loved it, so awesome. Today 4U was so great! Love it!

RENT is the most AMAZING, INCREDIBLE, EXCITING, EMOTIONAL, BEAUTIFUL movie I've EVER seen!

Wow!! First to comment. That was so exciting to watch...what I would give to be there. I cannot believe this whole experience is coming to an end. It has been so surreal to feel like I have been a part of this for the last few months, and while I am so glad this wonderful film is finally out, I still wish I could come home on Mondays and Wednesdays with some exciting Rent news. What you guy have given your fans is a true gift. Hopefully can see you all soon (April 24?!?!?)

I can't stress enough how happy I was with the movie. It was more than I could have dreamed of. It amazes me the dedication that all of you have put into making this movie as wonderful as possible and I want you all to know that you suceeded. I was able to see the a preview and the midnight screening here in Minnesota and you had me bawling through the entirity of the second half. I love this movie and I love rent. I love its message and its spirit. I am so happy that others will be able to experience its passion and its raw emotion. I know that rent has always been a life-changing play and now that it is a life-changing movie, many more people will be able to decide to live with the motto No Day But Today. Thank you so much. wow this was the musical i grew up with...RENT was my first musical that i EVER saw on Broadway...so it will always have a special place in my heart! this is what started my love of acting singing performing and having fun!!! The movie was so great. I can't believe that the moment I've been waiting for for years has finally come, and thank you guys so much for making it the best it could possibly be. I hope this isn't the last blog *holds back tear*, but if it is, I'm SO happy and feel honored as a RENThead that you guys kept us updated and made us feel special every Monday and Wednesday (and occasional other days.) I honestly can not thank you guys enough for being as down to earth as you guys are. Ugggh. Thank you. Again.

First of all, THANK YOU guys for this intense blogging the past few months. It's been awesome getting to hear (and see) everyone's thoughts on the movie, get little sneak peaks, etc. It's been so much fun and seriously so sad that it's ending!! I did love this blog though. All of you seemed so happy and you all looked gorgeous. Congratulations on completing this. I hope the premiere was a nice way to end months of all this hard work.

Anyways - I've see the movie quite a few times now and am taking friends again this weekend to see it. I cannot even express enough how much I totally LOVE it!!! My favorite parts were the opening SOL number (so beautiful! - and Tracie, you kicked some major butt there), Take Me or Leave me (hilarious! - the whole committment ceremony was way cute!), and the montage for Without You (beautiful, but so intense!). It's so hard to pick favorite scenes though because the entire movie was just so amazing. It's crazy to believe after all this time it's actually here. You guys did right by Jonathan's message and for that I thank you and applaud you.

I was at the premiere. I am still pinching myself to make sure I didn't die and go to heaven. Truly one of the most surreal, yet memorable nights of my life.

Let me tell you, my dear fellow Rent Heads, that these stars are every bit as real and accessible in person as they have been on this blog. So warm, so appreciative, so receptive, so gracious. Almost every single one of them was more than happy to take pictures with us, even though I am sure they were all so tired from the long days of press junkets that led up to that night. These admirable qualities, combined with each cast member's deep devotion to their art and Jonathan Larson's message,is the driving force that will catapult Rent into cinematic legend.

Thank-you guys so much for everything. I just got back from seeing the movie (again). It is so beautiful. I was the crazy person who came all the way to New York from Maryland at 2:30 a.m. to meet you all (except Jesse) at the Virgin Megastore signing. It was a spur of the moment really crazy idea that worked. I may only be 22 years old, but that was truly the highlight of my life. I was shaking so hard after meeting you all & grinning inanely for an hour. It will never get any better than that! My mom said it was the best gift to her to see me that happy. You guys did such a fantastic job. The movie makes me quite proud to be a Rent Head.

I was actually about 10 FEET from the red carpet that night in NYC...I couldnt see much other than a bunch of lights and....the red carpet...I knew what was going on though and I was almost in tears that I was so close to something so close to my heart...yet, I wasn't close enough. I was watching everyone though and I said a little prayer that the film was as beautiful and as moving as we all knew it would be and it definately WAS! I really don't want this blog to end...Adam, Idina, Tracie, Rosario, Anthony, Jesse (I'm watching Law & Order right now!), Wilson and Taye...PLEASE PLEASE continue to do work that touches your heart as RENT did...We, as your fans, are honored to see you on the big screen in these roles again, but it will be a privledge just to see you either onscreen or onstage in roles you love, in shows that speak to you and that you respect as artists. Keep the dream alive and God Bless you ALL.

I haven't commented here before, but seeing as it's the last one, I suppose I can be a cyber-geek instead of a lurker.

I'm really glad that you all (with the fabulous addition of Tracie and Rosario) were able to come back and make this movie. As a fan since '96 (I was the only eight-year-old on the block singing "La Vie Boheme"), this was my best case scenario for the film and I wasn't disappointed. It was amazing, and judging from this post, you guys were just as excited about it as we were. It's the closest I've come to seeing the beloved OBC; I've come close but, with the exception of seeing Anthony in "Little Shop" last October, to no avail. So it was super exciting and the blogs were great and entertaining. Thanks for the movie! (And please excuse the grammatical terror that is this post.)

Tracie, you are so adorable on the red carpet and you are fabulous! I'm sure I can speak for all of us when I say that we are so glad that you had a great time working with the stellar cast. You absolutely deserved every second of it! You're phenomenal! ♥

I went to see rent 3 days ago. I knew very little about the story going into it and all I can say is I was blown away!! I loved it!! I felt like I was right there in Roger and Mark's apartment with everyone. And in some of the early scenes Roger looks so sad I just want to give him a hug and tell him everything will be ok. I just discovered this blog about 2 days ago and have been trying to catch up on all the previous posts. It is such a great thing to help promote the movie, so thanks to everyone for keeping everyone updated. also:
Adam - your voice is amazing, my favorite song (though they are all great) is Another day. The emotions that you bring to this character is great.
Anthony - you did a fantastic job. I can't wait to read your book.
Tracie - This was such a great opportunity for you since you are a renthead. you did a great job as Joanne.
Idina, Taye, and Jesse- Fantastic job.
Wilson- fantastic job as Angel, I cried buckets.
Rosario - You have an amazing voice. I was happy at the end when Roger and Mimi were together, I was hoping they would be.
Chris - you did a wonderful job directing this movie and it came out so amazing. It is so great that you were able to make this movie so that the people that weren't able to see it on broadway (and for those that were) will be able to see it for years to come.

theres alwasy someones name when i post my entry. Weird!

I wanted to go to the premiere at the Zeigfeld SOO bad! I was going to catch a train since I go to school in Central Jersey (RUTGERS!), but the last NJ Transit train leaves Penn Station at 1:45am, so I would've been stranded in Manhattan overnight :(. I saw the movie the night of the 23rd & even though it was at a local movie theater, the waiting line to get into the theater was out of the doors! I just want to let you guys know that there are people all across the country who love you & have loved you since the beginning.

To Tracie: You are a phenomeonal actress/singer & I wish for nothing but good things to come your way. I LOVED "Porn & Chicken"!

To Jesse: You are one of my favorite actors. Whether in the play or in the movie, I can feel Collins' emotions. When I saw the movie, I cried during "I'll Cover You (Reprise)". Being as that my aunt died a little over six years ago from AIDS, all those feelings rushed back again to my sister & I when that scene came on. Also ... I'm addicted to 'Law & Order'!

To Wilson: You have all my respect for wearing those heels. I wouldn't be able to do it.

To Idina: I saw 'Wicked' last May & it affected me in ways that I can't describe. Listening to you sing makes me wish I could sing like that(especially the end of 'Defying Gravity'. It gave me goosebumps when I saw it live & I still get them even when I listen to the sounstrack).

To Taye: You're a great actor. I've loved every movie you've been in & I can't wait to see what roles you are going to choose next. (My boyfriend's favorite movie is "Equilibrium")

To Adam: I can't think of anyone else portraying Roger as well as you. I know people who have been acting their entire lives who can't measure up to half the actor you are. "SLC Punk" is one of my favorite movies & I can't wait to see in another movie.

To Anthony: You're a wonderful actor & a great singer. I have a funny little story that I think I'll share. I was telling some of my friends about "RENT", about the cast members, & what you all have been doing since you left "RENT". When I was talking about you, they didn't know what you looked like until I told them that you were the jerk TA in "Road Trip" who was in the cult & drank the KoolAid :). I just thought you'd like that little story.

To Rosario: I know some people who doubted whether you could be Mimi. You definitely proved yourself to every RENThead. I was a huge fan of you before seeing "RENT" but now that I've seen you stunningly play a role in something that I have loved since the beginning, you are truly one of my favorite actresses.

I was so happy when I found out that 6 of the 8 original cast members were coming back. You guys deserve to earn a wider fan base. Everytime I hear the soundtracks, I get chills. I love the show & I love how Jonathan's message is reaching a broader audience.

Anyway, I'm done rambling. I LOVED the movie & I can't wait to see you guys in your next projects!

I have never seen a movie opening night but I had to see RENT, I brought along my best friend who I thought was just going to shut me up but he was as thrilled with the movie as I was. I plan to see it at least 2 more times and as soon as I hear when the DVD will be released I plan to restart the count down clock for that date too. This movie is so important because it brings out such important topics, love, never giving up what you believe in and living in the present. Wilson, I know you hated all the make-up but you looked better in make-up than I do!!!! Jesse I missed you on the last 4 episodes of Law and Order last year but this movie really made up for it. Please don't stop bloging I really look forward to the entries.

Seriosuly, as I read these comments I am about to cry! I just began my obsession with RENT and I can't concentrate on anything else (even school work which never happens to me!)

I saw the show a few weeks ago but the movie just blew me away. Every single one of you had a unique passion that I think everyone who saw the movie felt. Everything about RENT is just overwhelming and I love it.

You all look absolutly gorgoues with those big smiles on your faces! The movie was everything I have been waiting for and more! Sorry I haven't commented but I have been to busy seeing the movie over and voer and over again! I might surpass the times I have seen the show soon. Well I'm not at 14 yet but probably by Christmas I'll be past that number. There were so many touching moments in the movie. I started crying immediatly when the first note sounded on Seasons of Love becuase I was so excited. I thought that the Life Support meetings were so touching and really gave the audience a feel for how people with aIDS feel and deal with their disease. During La Vie Boheme I actually forgot I was watching the movie..so rtue to the show. Take me or Leave me was a show stopper...Idina and Tracy made the Seats vibrate! And wow...the funeral scene and the I'll Cover You reprise was the most touching moment I have ever experienced.if Jesse Martin doen't win an Oscar for his performance I don't know what I'll do. And of course the finally tied everything together. i left the theater all 5 times so far with "No Day But Today" resinating in my head. Everyone did a fantastic job. I'm so grateful for this movie and the chance to see RENT whenever I want! I love you all. Everything is RENT!

I wish I'd heard about this blog before last week, I've really enjoyed the past couple of days of going through all the entries and videos.

I loved the movie, I've already seen it three times and plan at least three more times. I can't wait until it comes out on DVD so I can watch it anytime I want!

I've been waiting for this movie forever, since Les Mis and Chicago became movies and everyone realized it was actually possible to have actors sing (again) on film. I first saw the play when I was 19, Mimi's age, and I couldn't believe someone so young could have already been through so much. I led such a sheltered life. So thank you, so much, for being part of such an eye opening event for me.

You all are awesome. It's obvious you had as much fun making this movie as we have watching it, that you love it as much as we do.

You guys all rock! I can't wait for the DVD. It's awesome how you guys have kept up with the blog. Amazing! THE MOVIE rocks my socks! You all did FABULOUS! I loved everything about it! The Tango--omigod! So freakin' awesome! However, La Vie Boheme topped it all! Haha. I cried so much. I've seen it three times already. Last year I did my final paper for musical theater(I'm in college for theater) on Rent. I analyzed the libretto and the music...got an A and what do you know...next thing I know, you all made it a movie! And I am so glad that it was adapted for the screen so it'll be on film forever! The movie was awsome!!! It is hard to belive that one film, one musical, one story can effect so many lives and inbody so many emotions.

As my life changes and as I grow Rent comes to mean something else or speaks to me in a new way. Just this week an event occured that is haunting me and that I'm having to deal with one many levels, I can't handle quiet right now. The soundtrack is helping me get through. I have played it so many times that it is becoming a lulaby to my nerves and wondering thoughts. The timeing of everyting has been just right. Thanks to everyone I hope you know how you truely have touched people.

You did right by us. You did so freaking right.

I really did love the film. I've already seen it thrice. But...I don't know if my wallet will allow me togo see it ten times Taye. I sure will get close!

I walked into this film knowing very little about the musical, although I'd always wanted to see it, and I was immediately swept away into the story. Your acting was so good it didn't seem like acting at all, your voices were amazing of course, and ... well everything was just wonderful. So thank you (actors, directors, everyone involved) so much for making this beautiful show available for people like me who have not had a chance to see it on stage yet. RENT has truly inspired me!

Thanks for all the hard work that you put in this show, the movie really did justice to the play. Thank you for all the fun clips and pics, it has been so fun getting to know you guys more. Maybe you should do a Lord of the Rings thing and have hours upon hours of behind the scene footage and interviews, and an extended version with the many songs of "Christmas Bells" that would be so sweet. As I have said previously, this moment is extremely bittersweet. For the last 6+ months, we have religiously been following along with your journey of making this film. We would wait with baited breath each day to find out if there was a new update. Many of us went to every public appearance that you all have made (the Today Show, Bryant Park, Virgin Megastore, the midnight showing at the Ziegfeld, etc). We pre-ordered the soundtrack, and even pre-ordered the selections from the soundtrack so we could meet you at the Virgin Megastore. We pre-ordered tickets to the midnight showing. And we counted down the days (even minutes) until our dream of having RENT immortalized on film would finally come into fruition.

Now, it has been over a week since the official premiere, and although we have seen in quite a few times already, we still check the blogs every day to see what's going on with it. We have become so emotionally invested in this project in large part because you all made us feel as though we were there with you every step along the way.

That is why it is so hard for us to believe that this could possibly be the end of what was the most intense connection to the making of a film that most of us have ever experienced or will ever experience.

Rosario, Taye, Wilson, Jesse, Idina, Adam, Anthony, and Tracie--it has been as though I have made 8 new friends in all of you. And I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for making it so worth it to be a "true believer."

I have seen many of you in other live performances (Rosario in "Two Gentlemen of Verona", Taye in "A Soldier's Play", Idina in "Wicked" and "See What I Wanna See", Adam in "Aida", and Anthony in "Feeling Electric"), which have shown how versatile you are as performers, and I look forward to seeing you all in many more projects in the near future!

Anthony: Amazing, I love what you did with this character. You played up all the right aspects of this character so he was a part of everything but detached at the same time. I could not have asked for more. Thank you and I'll see you on your website!

Adam: I just got back from seeing the movie for the 4th time and I love the subtleties and nuances you have given Roger. Your performance was heartbreakingly beautiful.

No Day But Today.

AWWWWWWW this video was so great. It almost made me cry. As you said, that's it... this is it. The movie is out and after following this blog, eagerly awaiting it, and *sob* hearing Adam's comment about this possibly being the last entry, it almost feels like the end. Of course, it's also only the beginning...

Anyway, thank you so much for making this movie and being so great in it... for going on the blog with comments, videos, all the other goodies... for actually reading our comments!... for thanking US!

It struck me how happy you guys look in that video. esp. Adam, you were just beaming! = ) lol

I was at the premiere and also just wanted to say, again, thanks to all of you who braved that walk across the (un-blocked off to traffic) street to come talk to, sign stuff for, and interact with us fans. It was really an amazing experiences for me... (and you guys looked great)!

it's a really horrible time on the college schedule to get this new flux of interest in RENT! (Finals are in a week and a half and I might be terribly screwed :-/ that's what being a mechanical/aeronautical engineer does to you. No Day But Today!) I mean, in '99 my brother did 'La Vie Boheme' for an airband competition at his high school (I think it might just be a SoCal thing? It's where a group of people lip sync to a song and dance around). It was awesome because his friend was a total RENThead and they blocked the scenes just like from the production. That was right around when the Benny Tour came to San Diego, and by the way, was I excited to see Shaun Earl in the movie in the Life Cafe! Ahh and he was scrawny and with bleached hair, he looks exactly like Anthony Rapp in some of the pictures from the RENT book.

Yeah, so I've been on to RENT for that long...I mean, I'm one of those who knew the entire soundtrack before I ever saw a performance...I'm not even sure I really understood all of what was going on. It's a big thing in my family; when we took road trips to my grandmother's in Texas we'd put in the cds and my brother, sister, and I would sing along. We even got my mom into it, and I barely took her to see the movie this past weekend. It was her first time ever seeing it acted in any form, and maaan she was sobbing the whole time! My dad took me to see it the first time, then I took my sis when she was old enough...

So RENT has always been in the background for me. Last year, in the dorms I discovered that the girl in the room next to me also had a picture with Shaun Earl, and that another girl two doors down (we were in a quad of four) was from Orange County and we'd both gone to the same theater the same day only I saw the matinee and she saw the night performance.

Long story short, the story goes way deep for me, and I won't get that much more detailed, but the "No Day But Today" mantra is what works for me. I know I posted a question a few days ago, but I've been enlightened. Basically, I'm looking for the typewriter font that's on Idina's website (and also siteforrent.com), as well as the font that opens the movie...I really really really would like to get that phrase tattooed because it has personal meaning, but if I can't get it right what's the point?

And again...I saw the movie four times and I'm going again this weekend! People on campus who say I'm obsessed should check out this site...I'm poorly behind!

Pleeeeeaaaaaaase don't let this be the last blog!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How else will I be able to get thru the 132 day wait until it premieres in France? The weekly blogs have made the wait bareable, and it's going to be so strange not checking out the site at least twice a week for new updates and info.

I really wish I had the money to jump on a plane and go see the movie in the US, but unfortunately, that's not the case *sobs*

Thank you, for the hundredth time! thank you for making the movie, for someone like me who doesn't live in the states, it's really great because I've never had the chance to see it on Broadway. I was so mad there weren't any midnight showings near me so all of my friends (all Rentheads) went and saw it opening night and danced and sang along the whole time even though we said we wouldn't and we got so many discouraging looks from the the non-Renthead part of the audeinece. That was pretty much everyone else. I cried through the whole movie. It's amazing! Thank you!!

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone responsible for making this movie.
It was such a wonderful experience to sit in the Ziegfeld on opening night and watch the movie that we have all been waiting for years to come to life on screen. Not to mention watching with Anthony, Tracie and Rosario's mom! It's something I will NEVER forget.

Thank you to the cast for putting your heart and soul into this movie. Your performances are now frozen in time and will forever be remembered. Thank you for making this movie, I loved it.

Tracie-you are completely amazing. Your excitement is contagious (I can't spell) and Joanne is now offically my favorite character. I was watching Cold Case with my roommate on Sunday and I swear I almost started hyperventalating from excitement when you came on (I didn't know you were going to be on) which scared the crap out of my roommate. Anthony-Thank you for filiming all the behind the scenes clips for this blog. At least I think it was you, it sounded like your voice. All of you didn't have to take the time to do this for us but you did and we are all so grateful.

Adam-I don't think you need to worry about your legacy at all. The entire movie was absolutely brilliant.

Rosario-One of my favorite parts of yours is when you are in the alley by yourself during "Out Tonight". You just look so happy there dancing and twirling your scarf around. And then to go from that to the girl shaking in the bathroom during "Without You" proves how good you are. Great job.

Idina-This was possibly the best rendition of "Take Me or Leave Me" that I have ever seen. And the pool table...wow. The emotion was almost tangible at that part. Really really good.

Taye-I am glad that you decided to do this movie after all. It would not have been the same without you as Benny (what little we got to see of him :-/). "You'll See Boys" was very well sung.

Jesse-I have to admit, I had trouble picturing Ed Green singing. So I want to apologize. "I'll Cover You:Reprise" was the best song in the entire movie. Oh man. I can't even read the lyrics anymore without tearing up. You were absolutely astonishing. Collins and Angel have (to me) the best and healthiest relationship in the whole movie, and the joy on both of your faces during the first ICY can make anyone smile.

Wilson-I'm a girl and I don't think I could survive wearing those shoes for a half hour, let alone 12 hours. Holy cow. And your face when Benny reveals that his Ekita died is priceless. Please keep us posted on any future projects!

The entire cast did extreamly well. Thank you for keeping up this blog for so long, best of luck in the future.

RENT ROCKS!!! Keep RENT alive!! Go see it often! Request that your theaters have 'RENT Interactive Performance Showings' that allow and encourage you to sing and dance during the movie; and be sure to dress in character! (Rocky Horror move over, there's a new kid in town) Keep the candle lit!

I saw the movie on Thanksgiving and it was awesome. I live in Baltimore and had the pleasure of meeting Tracie at the Cook,
Dixon and Young (Three Mo Tenors) Concert the next day. She was very nice and I encouraged her to keep on singing. I was really nice to meet her in person and see someone from Baltimore doing so well.

I saw the movie at the midnight screening at the Zeigfeld last week, and I pretty much started hyperventilating when Anthony and Tracie walked in. They stopped to take pictures and talk to fans both before and after the movie. I couldn't believe how gracious they were. I saw Rent a few years ago and asked to take a picture with whoever was playing Mark at the time, and he refused, saying that "this was Broadway, not Disneyland." I was afraid you guys would be the same way, but I am amazed by your appreciation for your fans. I didn't get to take a picture with you but I was so close, and just being in the same room was electrifying. Thank you for being so down to earth and for taking the time to greet your fans. You have no idea how much it means.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO WAS A PART OF THIS FABULOUS FILM and for all of the entries and videos you have provided on this blog!!!

When the movie was over I looked at her and said "did you like it?" and she said "I loved it, I want to go buy the soundtrack". And she did. In a weird way I think she understands me more.

I saw the movie a few days ago and it was freakin amazing! I cried sooo much there at the end, I was almost sobbing out loud! I felt drained after, but a good drained, because the movie just grabs you and keeps you fully engaged. Im going to be a dietitian and I say that watching Rent actually causes you to burn off calories!! hehe!

Ive seen lots of movies and while there were lots i've enjoyed there are only a few that become a part of you. Those movies that make you reflect on your own life and help you to see life and situations in a different way. And this was one of those movies for me.

Everyone was so great and talanted. You all did such wonderful work!!!

OMG I love the movie so much! It has been like, a week since it has come out and I have seen it twice. This movie made me almost fall out of my seat laughing and I was bawling for hours afterwards. Needless tosay, I got a few funny looks from the other people watching it. I am also planning to go on Sunday. You guys all did a fantastic job! It is my all time favorite movie, and Angel is probably my fav character but I love all you other guys too! Thank you so much for making this movie and I love all of you!

AMAZING!it's december first and i've seen the movie 5 times and am going again tonite! I was introduced to RENT my freshman year of high school-instantly fell in love! Living in north dakota there isn't much opportunity to experience live musicals as there would be living in a big city or close to one. but i managed :) my first live RENT experience my sophomore year-over a year after first hearing the soundtrack,drove for 6 1/2 hours but it was well worth it. Then amazingly enough a year later it came to my hometown,and the next year to a town only and hour and a half away . . .each and every time it was wonderful amazing all all of that. But then i hear they're making a movie! at first excited-than realllllly scared! what if they screw up this wonderful thing, screw up Jonathan's legacy (keep in mind this is back when the only thing i could find online was one website that said it was being done in san francisco and chris columbus was directing it) more news comes out and i find out 6 of the OBC are in it!! and Jonathan's family is involved-huge sigh of relief!! with all of these people in the movie and being part of it who knew Larson-they had to do it right!Well a close group of friends and myself very actively kept watch of the development of RENT over the net-every new thing we found we made sure everyone knew about! and then spend ample time discussing it! o the suspense!! Now almost 6 years after first hearing the wonderful sound of RENT in the basement of my high school theater-i get to enjoy it on the big screen knowing shortly i will be able to bring RENT home with me! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU everyone who was a part of this movie-you did wonderfully fantasticically awesome! a great mix of the original and the new-i couldn't be more impressed! but you guys are ALLL amazing! i saw the broadway show a few years ago, before i really appreciated music, but i remember being in love with it then!! and then when i found out the movie was coming out, i had just borrowed my friend's copy of the soundtrack, and i sooo fell in love with it! in fact, i saw it opening night, almost went back a SECOND time to go see it wednesday (but my mom couldn't go), so i went to see it again on friday, and this past week, i've been counting down the days till this friday cause i'm going to see it again!! and i just recently found this blog, and i LOVE it! i come on here ALL THE TIME just to watch the clips and interviews over and over and over and over.........litterally.

and, i have a little confession to make...to jesse and wilson...i'm sooo in love with the two of you!! wilson, you're sooo hot! and you play angel sooo well!! i just LOVE watching you smile and act and listening to you sing! you're incredible! and jesse, ooh man, your voice makes me melt! just everything about you, you're a VERY attractive man! haha, i love you two. ok, in all reality, i love the ENTIRE cast!! you guys are incredible!!! words cannot express how much this musical has moved me, and a large part of that is due to your abilities to sing and put so much into it...beyond the singing and the dancing, but the emotion as well. you guys are incredible!

...I love you all so much. *big hugs* Wow...seeing the movie was a great experience. I haven't had the opportunity to see the stage version-typical; right when I become interested in it it stops coming on tour here. Anyway, my cousin, who got me addicted, said I had to see it performed to really appreciate it. After seeing this, I realize what she means. The movie may have changed some aspects and left out some songs from the original, but it got the message across so well. I really hope to get the chance to see it on Broadway(I agree with what Wilson said in an earlier post-Christmas Bells is one of my favorite songs-but still, seeing this movie meant so much to me. Taye-only ten times? Yeah, right...haha.

Hi everyone! I just wanted to take a second to say how much I respect the work of the actors in this film. I think that the most beautiful piece of Rent is the raw script, music and this case performances. I am a theatre major and I just hope that I will be able to some day beable to bring such reality to a character.

I don't know if any of you guys read this, but I just want to say it so that its out there, you know. I think the Adam Pascal really captured Roger in an astonishing way. Every movement, facial expression, even vocal mannerism added to the character. I was truely impressed by every character and every actor. I could not imagine the movie having a better cast!

And I was so concerned that the movie would not do the play justice, but it did, thank you to the actors and Chris Columbus from all the Rentheads out there. We really appreciate your work!

I am not a renthead, i've only seen the play once. but when i bought the original cast soundtrack, i listened to it everyday for a long time, then i stopped. when i saw that the movie was coming out, it reminded me of my love for Rent. How amazing the whole story is, how genius it still is. It makes me want to live the best I can, the happiest I can. I think the movie was beautiful and I realized my love for the character Tom Collins, which I never really thought about when I was younger. Everyone in the movie did a wonderful job. I am glad I went to see it.

i have been trying to post on here for over a month and now that the blog is just about done its letting me post..:( Anyways, I just wanted to say that I love rent. It is a very inspirational movie. I hope that we can keep in contact somehow. I love all of you!

I have to see that I have seen the movie 3 times in like 5 days. It is better than the play. Everybody is amazing. I think everyone has oscar worthy performances. Wilson is just PERFECT. He proves it is possible to be beautiful as a woman and a man. He is so cute. His performance is so powerful. Everyone sang their hearts out. This is a landmark film,and everyone should go see it. I have never been so touched by a movie in all my life. I can't wait for DVD. If this does not win oscars, I'm raising hell.

OMG! I just have to say that I have officially been turned into a RENThead because of this movie! I was never fortunate to see the stage show but my friends who have were always saying it was there favorite! Now I have to agree! And it's a plus because I got to see the original cast do it too.

I do have to say that, Tracie and Rosario, you guys were great! For not being apart of the original cast, you did an amazing job and fit right in! Kudos! And you both have great voices as well!

I bet for the rest of the cast, it must have been so fun and exciting to be thrown together again! I bet there was also some anxiety about doing this film too, afraid it wouldn't be accepted. But I'm here to tell you, you have nothing to worry about! It's a great film! You all have amazing talent and I hope to someday have the same oppurtunities as you!

I had never seen the play because i live in orange county, CA so this movie was a wondeful oppurtunity for me to see this musical which i have heard so much about, and i LOVED it! it was one of the greatest movies i have ever seen. i loved all the music, and i enjoyed it so much that as soon as i got out of the theater i walked across the street to my local CD store and bought the soundtrack. all of you have INCREDIBLE voices! i am seeing the movie AGAIN tomorrow and i hope to see it many times after that. my favorite character would have to be Angel because he was such a beatuiful character with so much love and confidence. i cried when he died, and i don't cry during movies! ha ha. this movie overall touched me and i am so glad that i saw it! thank you very much for making this wonderful film that has brought me and will continue to bring me immence joy! You all did a great job at this movie!

What can I say in response to a great video entry like that? Thanks. A lot. No, I really mean it. Hey, don't laugh. Don't be skeptical, it's not that generic. Ha ha.

I wanted to thank the cast and Christopher for making such a great movie! I am now officially a Renthead and will love you guys (well, as much as I can even though I have not been lucky enough to meet any of you) and support any future projects you guys will do forever.

ROSARIO: I never knew that you could sing, but you blew me awat with how outstanding your work is here. To me, the only Mimi is you.

TRACIE: What can I say about you that everyone else hasn't already said? Your voice is one of the best I have heard in a very long time. Tango: Maureen is one of my favorite parts of the movie because of how great you and Anthony dance together.

TAYE: I have long enjoyed your work, but I think this is my favorite role you have played because you gave someone who you love to not like a good heart.

IDINA: I have loved your voice since WICKED. Everything you do in this movie is so beautiful. OVER THE MOON could have been a weaker song with anyone else singing it. You added a great deal of humor and talent to the song.

ANTHONY: I could not imagine this movie without you in it. I love ALL of your songs. I just wish that one of yours hadn't been cut. From the title song to TANGO: MAUREEN to LA VIE BOHEME to WHAT YOU OWN, you totally rock! I hope that one day I am able to see you in person and am able to tell you in person how great you are.

ADAM: I saved you for last because you are my favorite. I have said before in other entries in this blog how superior your voice is. Before I saw the movie, I still could feel the emotions when I heard you on the soundtrack. But when I saw you on the big screen, I was so captivated and so totally melted. You are a GOD! Words cannot describe how much I love you and your extraordinary talent! I also hope that I am able to tell you that in person, either after a musical or a concert stop. You can light my candle any time!

Well, I did love it. Still do, in fact. I saw it for the 4th time this afternoon, which all my friends find sad/amusing. But this last time I was in a theater alone with another friend, and we were able to talk, belt out the songs, moo, and do everything you want to do when you see RENT. I'm so glad the movies out. In fact, it felt kind of surreal today watching it. I can't believe something I love so much is out. Thanks to the cast because you all did SUCH an amazing job. Tracie, you're so in the hearts of all us fans because you're where we all would love to be. Good luck to all you in the future. I'll miss the updates from you all.

Thank you, thank you THANK YOU for making this movie. With out it, I would had never been able to experience Rent. I've never seen the broadway play of Rent, but oh how I wish I had (I was only 6, and 3000 miles away) My friend, sister and I have seen rent 4 times already, and I'm still dying to go back. We were trying incredibly hard to not start bursting out in song everytime a song came up, or start repeating our favorite lines when they came up. This is one of the most beautiful, powerful, amazing movies I've seen. I really don't know if theres anything else that I love more than this movie! the music is...ah *swoon* takes my breath away. Everyone in this movie is AMAZINGLY talented and beautiful, I love you all, with all of my heart! La Vie Boheme owns. The lyrics: ace. And kudos, yes, kudos for having Sarah Silverman (tehehe) and Idina, oh my god, I absolutley love you. You're voice is...like an angel, but better :) not to mention you're absolutley beautiful. So yes, thank you guys sooooo much, and kudos on such an AMAZING job. With out this, I'd be...lost.

I was one of those people who lives so far away from NY, seeing Rent on Broadway would be almost impossible, and from one of those families that has to do EVERYTHING together, and since my little brother would hate this show...this was my first experience with the musical visually. I've listened to the OBC album for years now, though, but I loved finally seeing you in the flesh. I finally got to pair those amazing voices with faces. And I was thrilled, to say the very least. So, I'm a Rent-head now, through and through!

Seems like everybody is sorta choosing who they love, but I LOVE ALL OF YOU! Anthony, I've always been able to connect with Mark, and I loved watching you! Mark is all over my desktop! Adam, your singing voice is so amazing, and when you sing 'One Song Glory', I was getting shivers up and down my spine. Oh, now I just can't stop! I have to tell you ALL how wonderful you are! Rosario, you were so amazing, and you have a beautiful voice! Mimi came alive through you! And Idina, I've been a big fan of you (surprise, I love Wicked!) for years, and seeing you perform was amazing after hearing you on my CDs for years! Jesse, I loved Collins and how you made everything about him seem so real. Your voice is so full of emotion, I had always envisioned you as energetic, like in 'Santa Fe'. And Gee, THANKS Wilson: thanks to you, I was bawling in front of my best friends in the theatre. I love Angel and everything s/he represents! No day but today! And Taye, I think I know what Chris meant by having a great sense of humor. I remember hearing you on the soundtrack as a little pre-teeny kid thinking, 'Wow, this guy is a JERK!' But I loved your performance!

I have been touched permanantley by Larson's musical. It really has shown me through the trials of your characters how I can overcome my own trials I may have. This movie really opened my eyes to a truely beautiful thing.

Now, you must pity my mother: She is NOT hearing the end from me until I get to go up to New York to see this musical live and IN PERSON! I love you guys for doing this movie, and I think I speak for everybody when I say you guys really made this amazing message shine through to us. Thank you sincerely for that!

OH! OH! I've got a question now...well, I've got two questions, but I'll save the second for another time...But I know somebody asked how it would feel now that it seemed to be over, and I know Anthony said 'Well, we've still got more to come.' Well, now the movie is out...what else is left? If nothing, how does it feel for you to leave this show?

I don't know when these blogs will stop or if the cast are still reading but I just wanted to say how thankful I am to you all for doing this. I'd be lying if I said I didn't have any fears about this movie when it was first announced but with every new blog my fear went away and left only pure excitement. The movie doesn't open here in the UK until the end of February so I still have a little over 2 months to wait but I know it'll be worth it.

You all are so amazing. I first went to see RENT with my cousin on Thanksgiving day, and I cried so much. It's truly a touching story, I don't think there could've been a better cast to do it.

I've only seen it once so far, but I'm dragging my best friends from here at college up to the only theater that is playing it in a 30 mile radius tonight after classes! I'm so excited! I've been dying to see it again for the last week!

Idina: You are my all time favorite actress! Ever since I first heard the soundtrack to Wicked, I've been hooked (I <3 your Elphaba). You have the most amazing voice, and I'm only sorry I wasn't able to see it while you were still part of the cast. On the bright side, it's thanks to you that I saw RENT when I did. You played Maureen wonderfully... I loved Tango:Maureen (The dress was gorgeous, and the dancing was superb), Over the Moon(that was wicked), and Take Me or Leave Me(I can't get enough of it)... but I think my favorite scene is still Finale B. You're amazing, and one of my biggest goals is to see you perform live someday! Keep up the amazing work, and know that you have a huge fanbase out there! I can't wait to see what you're up to next!

Anthony - You're amazing. I go around singing La Vie Boheme so often, my roommate is sick of the song. You bring so much life and energy to the cast, and you're an awesome singer. Mark was definitely my favorite (male) character in the show...

Adam - One Song Glory was one of my favorite songs in the whole play/movie. You sing it with such feeling and passion, it's just... great. Words almost can't describe.

Tracie - The way you sang with such feeling and conviction, I still find it hard to believe that you weren't part of the original cast. You did such a wonderful and amazing job, I can't wait to see you in new movies to come! Keep up the awesome work!

Rosario - Wow. Are there any other words? Take Me Out Tonight was great... and Light My Candle? Amazing. You have such an amazing voice and talent... are you sticking with movies, or have you considered Broadway? :)

Taye - Your Benny is priceless and your voice is awesome. I just wish we could've seen more of you!!

Jesse - I had never watched Law and Order before (surprising, I know) until my roommate turned it the other day... when we saw you on it we both looked at each other and began to sing I'll Cover You. :) It was awesome. I love your Tom Collins, I don't think anyone could've done it better.

Wilson - What can I say about Angle except you did a wonderful job. Every morning, after my roommate gets up, she goes over to her computer and plays Today 4 U to get our day started. It gets us all worked up for another day of classes! When I first saw the movie, I'll admit Angel wasn't one of my favorite characters, but she has grown on me... a lot! Keep up the awesome work... (and may I say that without the drag, you're hot!)

First off, the ENTIRE cast was AWESOME! The new girls did a great job of filling RIGHT in.

This is amazing!!! I'm SO glad a movie came out so that I could see the original cast (or most of them) perform it instead of just listening to it over and over and over on CD! haha. I did love RENT when I saw it at the Nederlander in 2001 but no cast will ever compare to the original. I've already seen the movie 3 times and will go see it at least once more before I buy it on DVD haha!

I saw the movie the very first day it came out with my best friend, who I had also taken to see Wicked last January. I was 1 week! away from seeing you as Elphaba, but it was amazing nonetheless. Rent blew my mind. It was so amazing, I laughed my ass off in Over the Moon, and I bawled my eyes out at the end. It was the perfect movie. By far it exeded my expectations. Thank you for taking me out of this world ad into one as great as hat for 2 hours. Well worth the 7 bucks.

wow. i didn't get to watch this blog till today, and i totally teared up. this blog to me just completely captures the excitement and the immediacy of RENT and how it's actually here and everyone's watching it and the word is spreading and...

taye, your smile lights up the sky, and you never fail to make me laugh when i'm having a bad day. jesse, everytime you say "what's up bloggers, it's jesse l. martin, aka tom collins" i just grin so widely. and wilson, everytime you say "true believers" i tear up. i love your outfit, by the way. and rosario, you blew all my fears away and sung your heart out.

I love this movie and just being able to watch these clips is amazing! I've seen the movie three times already and it's been out a week and a half

I love Rent to the point of waking up with a different song in my head from the play everyday. I have seen the play and talked with others that have seen the play and we all agree the movie takes the core elements and brings Rent to the screen. I have seen it five times (and that was just in the first week) and can't wait to see it five more. You were all great and thank you Chris Columbus for taking this project you knew what you had!!! Thank you for giving us true believers Rent!!!

Anthony - Im my opinion you are the best person to play this role. You were awesome and I cried every time I saw you during "Will I?" your expression said it all. Great job!! I am such a big fan I can't wait to read your book(Wish I had been one of the five)

Tracie - Your voice was too good for words. I have to say that you sang your heart out during Seasons of Love. It was very apparent that you put your heart into. Great JOB-never stop being a Renthead!!!

Adam - First off I am glad that you decided to take the risk and be apart of the movie it definately paid off. You were awesome and brought me to tears during One Song Glory.Great Job

Jesse - I am one of your biggest fans. Your voice is great and melts my heart everytime I hear it no matter what your singing. I loved I'll Cover You Reprise you sang that song with so much heart I was unconsolable for at least ten minutes after the credits started to role!! Keep doing what your doing I love you so much

Wilson - You are the greatest Angel around. Anyone that can strut and wear those heel for extended periods of time deserves all Tony's he can get!!! Breath-taking. That's what this film was, simply breathtaking.

I was blown away by the film, and everyone in it. Saw it on the 23rd with my whole family, almost everyone in the theatre was crying in the end.

I just wanted to thank you for this film and amazing experience. Living in Nebraska, it's hard to make the 24 hour drive to NYC to get to experience the play, so you could imagine how special this movie is to me and everyone around. Please know that I have been listening to the music from the Original Cast Recording for a LONG time, and to finally see it with a visual was truly amazing.

Thank you so much for all the time and effort into making this blog as well. Although I just discovered last night at like, 3:00am, I'm glad to have found it anyway.

Anthony- your portrayl of Mark was truly something amazing. I don't know if you'll get the chance to read this and I'm sure you get this all the time but it was truly something spectacular to see you in the film after all the years of just listening to your voice. Mark has been my favorite character for a long time and to see you on the screen... well let's just say I was speechless with awe. You are an inspiration to so many out there, thank you so much for being so considerate when it comes to fans and being the lovable guy that you are. Thank you for doing this; thank you all for doing this. I hope you know what an impact you have made on so many lives.

OMG this movie is amazing i went to see it three days in a row. Adam you are amazing every song you sing is just perfect. I love every song that Mimi and Roger sign together and without you brings me to tears every time.

Sorry I'm so late to comment, but I have to say, you guys make me cry!!! Seriously. You just keep on spouting your love and devotion and support, right up to and over the premiere, not only to RENT itself but to us...and you guys are so wonderful it really does almost make me cry. Ahh. There are no words. All I can say is thank you, a hundred times over.

I've seen the movie twice (for the first time on the 23, and having never seen RENT on Broadway, it was literally magical), and am going more times (*grins at Taye*). I just have to say...it was beautiful, emotional, real, powerful...basically, you guys got it right. I'm sure Jonathan is in his element right now, wherever he is. =) I had to close my eyes for a second a few times during the movie cuz it was just so powerful. Every single scene was awesome, and personally, I think it was really well shot. Made me laugh, and cry, and sing under my breath, and made me want to get up and dance in the aisles. RENT's messages, and its themes, and beauty, and the issues it deals with, are being brought as I write to so many people. And that is something that is truly wonderful.

okay, so i know this sounds rediculous, but i can't help it. it's the truth. my physics teacher said today in class (after i had said i'd seen the movie twice) that he had seen a live performance of rent before and was indifferent to it (it wasn't the OBC, don't worry) and i literally got tears in my eyes. i dont know why. i was laughing about it, but my eyes were still tearing up. I HAVE BEEN OBSESSED WITH RENT EVER SINCE I WAS LIKE 8 YEARS OLD AND MY BIG SISTER WAS INTO IT. i hated that i never saw you guys in theater (well, i guess i WAS kind of young...) but i have seen it live and its incredible and i've seen the movie and I LOVE IT. i cannot wait for the dvd to come out so i can own if for good!!!! I LOVE EVERYTHING YOU GUYS DO!!! i always leave a RENT experiencing wishing more than anything that i could be as telented as you all are just so that i could be in the show, but alas my singing voice is a little subpar for such an incredible production. that's okay though, i can still love and enjoy watching such talented actors perform such a wonderful piece!

I just wante to say that I found this blog site YESTERDAY and went through every post, and I thank the cast and chris columbus for bringing such an intimate feeling to the whole process- I am late seeing/reading everything, but the fact that these blogs are around is really special.

Including fans in the filmmaking process is a great way to express that feeling of community that Rent represents. we are all in this "game of life" together, and I appreicate not only the fact that you all have chosen to share this with us, but that you are so honestly touched with the responses fans have been giving!!!

I just wanted to say thank you to all of you for making this movie. You all did such an amazing job, and I cannot imagine seeing this movie or any other play with anyone other than the eight of you. I never felt what I felt the day I saw your movie. As an undergrad of film, this truly was a spectacle for the eyes and hears. I have never seen it on Broadway, and I LOVE it.

wow. i love rent. i love everything about it. i have seen the movie 3 times since it came out and i'm not done yet. i brought one friend who wasn't familiar with the show/story/music etc and she loved it! i even got my dad go become a fan! i love all of you, im sad that this means it's sort of the end of an era but i thank you all for sticking around and coming back to make this amazing film. rent makes me smile, i love every song, every lyric, every moment i'll miss you all.

The Movie Rent was great I totally loved it!, ive seen it at least like 5 times since its come out, its such a great movie you guys did an awesome job at singing and acting your parts!, great job!, cause this has got to be one of my favorite musicals ever!, - Lesley.

This was so awesome to see you guys on the red carpet and it's just so great that you're keeping in touch with the fans! I loved the film, I thought all of you were amazing! I wish I could have been in New York to see the very first screening, but I'm doing the best I can in my Canadian town...going for the fourth time on the weekend. Can't wait for the DVD!!! I just wanted to say that I really liked the movie Rent. I just watched it for the 1st time 2 weeks ago and I've watched it 7 times already! I'm really into broadway shows so I LOVE the music. I hope to see the broadway show someday, but it would've been nice to see the original cast. You guys all are AMAZING singers. My favorite characters in the movie are Roger and Angel.
