This was a great video blog - thanks! We appreciate you keeping us informed.

I love the new CD! I can't wait to see the movie. It seems like you've all had a lot more time to examine the characters and the parts have grown accordingly. I can't wait to see it on the 23rd!

Thanks for all your time posting video blogs and responses to our questions!

definitely one of the most rewarding blogs yet. it was one of my biggest questions, so now it's answered.
not that you haven't heard it enough, but you are all simply incredible.

Posted by: Katy on 10/12/05 at 09:44 AM

Sooo, love that we got *two* video entries this week. Definitely made my week. =-)

I really love it when you guys[the cast], really talk about the experience of making this movie compare to making the play. I guess it puts to ease some of my fears about the differences in the movie compared to the film. Honestly, with what you guys and Chris have said, I'm even more excited about this movie. There were so many things in the play that I just wanted to see more of and I feel more reassured now that they're being explored further in the movie and in a way that won't take away from the story; that will only add to what's already there. That makes me extremely happy. Great work, everyone.

Oh and, yet another compliment to Adam....LOVE the shirt...my absolute favorite color...and it looks so nice on you! =-D

Posted by: Ashley P. on 10/12/05 at 09:50 AM

This was indeed an awesome video entry! You guys rock for keeping us all informed of what's going on. So thank you, and I can't wait to see the movie!!!!!

All I can really say is wow!!! When I first heard about the movie I wasn't sure the play could be improved upon, and hello, nervousness, hi it's me! But, especially with this blog, you can tell the excitement and the integrity and spirit you all approached the work from, and I can't wait to see what I'm sure will be a beautiful extension of Jonathan's work and love. I can't wait! Love you all!

Aww, thanks guys!!! We thank you so much for keeping us in your minds and assuring us about the movie. I cannot thank you enough. Much love and can't wait for the movie!!!

Thanks for the wonderful words and another video blog from the cast. :) It's so nice to hear that things are going well and that the entire cast has a really positive outlook on the movie. I can't imagine it being anything less than PERFECT!

I really jumped of my chair when I saw another video entry, would you call that obsessed? :P I really love you guys, I can't wait 'till the movie comes out, unfortunately I have to live in a country where it won't come out untill April:(
But the soundtracks and the blogs will keep me busy! =)

Posted by: Lindsay on 10/12/05 at 10:23 AM

YEA!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait!

Just wanna know where Idina and Taye are. :(
The video was great, though. Thanks for answering some of my questions :)

Rebecca

Posted by: Rebecca on 10/12/05 at 10:24 AM

Hoorah for the video entries! This was a great entry. I think it's great to hear about how you all approached this, because it's reassuring, in a way. It's easier for us as fans to understand the differences and to expect things.

And, I can't help but notice that practically every video Adam's in, he's got his arms crossed. Hehe. I'm not complaining, though, I think it's adoreable, haha. (Oh, and, speaking of Adam, your birthday and Anthony's birthday are not too far off, are they?)

*hugs*

To the whole cast-

This might sound stupid but I am a soldier that recently spent a year in Iraq. There were so many nights that I would listen to the music and it would sometimes be the only thing that could calm me down after a long hard day. That place is awful and you guys really helped me through. I have been a huge Rent fan from the moment it came out. This musical is the first musical that deals with the problems that "our" generation is facing. Thanks again for everything that you may not have known that you did.

Brad

Posted by: Brad on 10/12/05 at 10:40 AM

Aww. You guys spoil us. Thanks for doing everything that you've done! Never forget that we love and adore each and every cast member, and that we wouldn't trust/support just anyone in these roles. Thanks again!

Thank you guys so much for everything...this is definatly one of the most important blogs yet! I'm so glad to hear that the relationship between Maureen and Joanne has grown in the movie, because it is such an important one in the play that wasn't always shown as much as I'm sure Jonathan wanted it to be.

Thanks so much for your time and talents!

Thank you for answering this question that I bet a lot of us have been wondering all this time. It really helped.

Posted by: Carla on 10/12/05 at 12:26 PM

I'm glad Rosario focused on the youthful spirit inside Mimi. That really comes through in the soundtrack and it makes her more real than in the OBCR. Thanks guys

Posted by: Seth on 10/12/05 at 12:27 PM

One of the best things so far about this movie, in my opinion, is the amount of involvement and outreach the cast and crew have towards the fans. Most movies that we are looking foward to, we get an official website (maaaybe) with a trailer and a couple pics on it but more or less we don't get much to go off of. But with this movie we have been treated to so many little behind the scenes videos (Anthony, I love your camerawork/narration by the way) and blog entries and I can't begin to describe how appreciative I am of that. It makes me even more excited for the film to come out . So a huge thanks to the cast and crew for keeping us up to date, much love to you all and good luck! :-)

Anthony! Shave! Kidding, you don't have to. I just have this thing, about facial hair. Yeah.

Anyway, again, thanks so much for the videos you guys! Got my DVR all set for Regis and Kelly tomorrow. Silly Yom Kippur, I could actually watch it as it was on, but oh well. Heard you guys were great though. :)

Adam, *stares dreamily* I feel it is important for me to tell you: you look GOOD in green...I mean, wow...mindblank-age. I know this sounds d
umb, but I'm really proud of how you've grown as an actor since Rent the first go-around. *huggles the sexy rockstar/actor*
Anthony, you talk with your hands...a lot. Don't get me wrong, I feel it adorable. I've been noticing it for a while.(er, started with an Anthony movie marathon with me and my friends...yeah, you didn't need to know about our over-whelming love for you...but now you do...ENJOY!) Also, the scruff=me getting in trouble for gasping in 3rd period and alerting the teacher to my illict Internet wanderings. It looks good, Ant, it looks good.
Jesse, it's wonderful to hear all the reassurance about how the movie is being kept true to the show. That means a lot to us Rentheads.
Tracie, your enthusiasm is so catching. Just watching you talk about the movie always makes me all the more anxious to see it.
Rosario, the fearlessness was always one of my favorite parts of Mimi, and if you're bringing that to her character, you have my acceptance. Welcome to the crazy, mad, over-whelming Rent love! *huggles*

The entire wonderful cast--

This has to be the best and most informative video blog yet. To hear so much from each cast memeber about the really important aspects of his or her work and the interpretations of character and story was great. Thanks so much for taking the time to do it! Much continued appreciation on my part.

I just got the new CD today. I WORSHIP YOU ALL.

Ha, you know what would be so amazingly fantastic? If one of you were to say; "Grace is cool!" In your blogs. :) Hee hee, but that probably won't happen, because then you'd have to have a three hour blog in which you said that to everyone who comments. Still, though, it's nice to dream.

I can't wait for the movie, I'm on the edge of my computer chair waiting for more updates and blogs from all of you. :-)

You guys make me smile - thanks for always making me feel better.

Love,
Grace

Adam, Anthony, Idina, Rosario, Taye, Jesse, Wilson, and Tracie...I hope you guys are all amazing! I can't express how much I love you guys and each and every one of you should be proud for the work that you do. I want to personally thank you for bringing this beautiful musical to life through film, and I also want to thank the late Jonathan Larson for creating such a beautiful masterpiece!

Adam, I wish you family well and I hope you had a good time coming back to this character that you know so well.

Anthony, same to you. I love your enthusiam and I can't wait to see you on screen, I love Mark!

Idina and Taye, you two are such a cute couple and I hope you guys had a lot of fun sharing the experience of Rent. I wish you two all the best in the future!

Jesse, you have such a lovable personality and you bring that aspect of yourself to Collins! I hope you had a great time making this movie, and I wish you the best in the future!

Wilson, what can I say...I bet you can walk in a pair of platforms better than I ever could! I love ya and I love the energy you bring to Angel.

Tracie, you have such a beautiful voice and I couldn't think of anyone better to play the role of Joanne. I know you have been working hard on creating your own handle on the role while maintaining the qualities that the fans have grown to love...but let me just say that you have nothing to worry about! I know your performance will be more than amazing! And your "high C" in Seasons of Love sounds so beautiful everytime I hear it! Keep up the amazing work, you should be proud!!

Rosario, I have been a fan of yours since....I can't even remember! I know that you're going to be great as Mimi and just like Tracie, I couldn't imagine anyone else bringing Mimi to life on film. I hope you had a wonderful experience making the film. Every movie that I see you in you never fail to amaze me in your performance...Light It Up, Sidewalks of New York, Men in Black II, 25th Hour, Shattered Glass (even though you didn't have a big role, you were hillarious and Andy Fox!), The Rundown, Alexander, Sin City (I love the Sin City graphic novels, and you brought such class to your performance as Gail). I wish you and your family all the best in the future and I can't wait to see you in the film!

I know this is kind of long but I just couldn't fit my gratitude for you guys in one sentence!! Thank you all!
-Love Yvette

You guys ROCK! The blogs and video entries that I find twice a week on the site make me smile every time! Keep 'em comin' guys!
I agree with Joe, it really sucks that I/we have to live in countries (me in France, I don't know about Joe) where the movie doesn't come out until mid-April, but then, it won't come out at all in my home country (Norway), so in a way I'm lucky! Gotta focuse on the positive stuff, right?

Anyways, can't wait 'til Monday and a new blog entry!

Lotsa love, Anne-Inger

Anthony-
On a pretty unrelated note, I just have to tell you that I love how you enter the song "Will I?" by yourself on the movie soundtrack. It's really a beautiful change- I think it's perfect for Mark- and of course you sound awesome, as usual.

AMAZING! Just thought that I would mention that I had the chance to meet Anthony Rapp & Tracie Thoms at the Broadway Flea Market. I don't know if you guys remember, but I was at the photo place, and asked you to sign my RENT poster with "Happy Birthday"... thanks for being so sweet about it. I was almost afraid that they weren't going to bring Tracie out, I asked the lady every 30 seconds just to make sure. Anyway, I also met Adam through Aida... and I just wanted to say it is so amazing that everyone that I've met thusfar are such sweet people, even the ones I haven't met yet... it's so sweet of everyone to be willing to make video blogs & post blogs for us. Two video blogs in one week! It has been amazing... thanks for memorable meetings & to meeting again: Joyce

Adam, I have got to say, green is most definitely your color.

Thank you all for this wonderful blog -- it may be one of my favorites. I had been wondering what the switch from stage to screen was like, and now I know. I feel like I can take your comments and apply them to my own acting.

I can't wait for the next blog -- you guys are amazing.

That was by far my favorite video blog thus far. Every response was really honest and in-depth. For the first time it really gave me an insighht into your methods and approaches to the characters. Thank you!!

Posted by: Colleen on 10/12/05 at 06:21 PM

Everytime someone posts, whether video or written, I get more and more excited for this movie. This blog was possibly the best idea ever. It's mindblowing (and slightly intimidating!) to know that people I admire so much are actually reading what I have to say. Everyone in this cast is amazing, both as an actor and as a person. Thank you for everything you've given me and all of us Rentheads.

You guys spoil us! I mean, 2 days in a row? Now you've got us hooked majorly, you have to keep coming back. Uh, Adam, could you be any cuter?

JESSE -
So, tonight I was watching Law and Order, and right before I walked into my mom's room who was watching L&O, I had watched the Seasons of Love music video. Again. But, that's besides the point. So, I walk in there, and it's the episode about the pseudo-Terry Schivo case, and blah blah blah, the young guy goes to jail and your partner is pissed and whatever. So, anyways, I'm watching you, up on the stand (and my mom is a DDA, so, I have to tune out all of her technical pointings out) and, all I can see is you hitting that note in ``Seasons`` Dude. Mad props, even though I'm not feeling the hat.

Anyways, ANTHONY, thanks for the acting advice!

My name is Marni. I've had AIDS for ten years. Except for this last year, I've seen every cast of RENT(traveling and house) since its opening on Broadway. I live in Chicago, and used to save all my money, so I could go to New York whenever there was a change in the cast. I have a stack of RENT playbills, taller than I am. I used to stay up at night, counting the seconds until I turned eighteen, so I could audition(and with my voice, get a lead, no problem;-)), but I am seventeen, and probably won't see eighteen.I just want to let anyone who's taking the time to read this, to know that the motivation of seeing this movie, is what's helping me hang on for these last few weeks.

I'll see you November 11th.

Posted by: Marni Grim on 10/13/05 at 03:25 AM

Adam, I just saw a videoclip of you singing Suddenly Seymour with Mandy Moore, Oh, to sing a duet with you!! Maybe your amazing voice will compensate for my cameron-diaz- singing- i-just- dont- know-what- to- do- with-myself-in-my-best- friend's-wedding voice, haha. Oh, and my mum says you're quite the handsome man, hee hee.

p.s. Tracie, i love your dress, you look lovely :)

And hope she reads this later. *points to the above comment* I think thats so awesome that you've got something to hold onto :) You've got a zest for life obvious in even your typed words. Maybe I should pass that on to my buddy who was just diagnosed with HIV.

Anywho- YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME. Loving having all the video entries! We need more of them, cause my LJ community makes funny screencaps.

Erm... I didn't say that...

But yeah, I look forward to seeing these, my computer at home has trouble loading the big sizes so I watch them at school- I'm in photo right now and its a day when I don't have negatives to develop, so I come here and WOO! VIDEO ENTRY!

From what we've all seen so far, you guys have made this movie absolutely incredible and its going to be so cool to see how your performances change from 1996. *dances*

*stops dancing* I think I shouldn't have had that coffee this morning...

Ugh I can't post comments! I keep writing them and sending them but they aren't going through...does anyone know how many albums of the soundtrack were sold? and where to find this information? I've been searching and I can't find it. It wasn't in the top 100 for billboard either week, which actually surprises me...
let me know.

So, I've been reading these blog things forever, I just never commented. But i figured, with the release so soon... and all the excitement. Why not?

This really isn't in response to anything in particular. I guess I just wanted to say how amazing everyone in the cast is. The talent in this group is overwhelming, but in a very good way. I already have the soundtrack and pretty much listen to it at any available moment. I'm addicted what can I say?

and I absolutely love how all of you actually care about is crazed fans... It's sweet.

well I guess that's it. Not much to say right now... but Oh yah. I saw Regis and Kelly this morning, and I keep reading all of Tracie's entries... I just love how you are the funniest RENT fan ever, AND your actually part of the cast this time around. So cute!

K, now I really am done. Hope all of you are doing great... Take care!

Oh my Marni, reading your comment brought me to tears. I admire your courage, telling us about you.

I hope you'll make it to the premiere and I hope you'll make it even longer. 17 years is much to short for a life.

As for the video entry; what a great entry, It was nice to hear your thoughts on your own performance, not just your gratitude, (wich is of course very nice to hear too).

This site was great. My only regret is that I never had the opportunity to see the play. Needless to say, I will see the film on opening night or day if I can. Also, I think the cast is phenomenal

I got the Collins cover!!! :) Also, I had ordered Adam's cd "Civilian" with it, which is what I am listening to now!! I am very pleased with these two cds :) Cannot wait for the movie!!!

I want to say that I love the broadway show and know the entire soundtrack. I got the movie one and I still love it! I can't wait until the movie comes out... I'm planning on taking people to it, that don't know the story of it. I've also introduced some friends to the show and they like it as well! I can't wait to see the movie.

The cast is great! You guys rock!!

SCORE!! lol. Thanks for that piece of wonderfulness!! I love that kind of input...I watched it with my eyes basically glued to the computer screen. Hehe, you've all changed your looks, you all look great.

I would comment about this in the other entry but it closed comments, so I have to say that I got the CD a few days ago (argghh..silly amazon...*shakes head*) and I LOVE IT. It's been making me INSANELY happy and hyper. It's absolutely BEAUTIFUL...you got it right.

Not a single song or a single person disappoints. It amazes me with the intensity you all put into it...every single song makes my heart ache. I love the richer sounds to it and the new music and everything. It's great cuz now we all have TWO wonderful versions of RENT. And "Love Heals" is the most amazingest song I've ever heard...it's inspiring. Anyways. Yeah. I could go on forever so...thank you!!!!

One request... Can someone give us updates on the blog when they are going to be on? I dont wanna miss ANY of the performances! Thanks!

I'm loving these ensemble videos. Thanks for sharing such deep meaningful thoughts with us. :) Oh, and the purple door is real classy.

I've been obsessed with the OBC recording for so long that listening to the movie soundtrack is a little unnerving; I can tell whenever a word is omitted or the tempo for a song is different. The changes have made me more excited for the movie, if anything. I'm going straight to the theater on the 23rd. Maybe shower or eat breakfast, too. Whatever.

Thank you to the cast, again, for being so devoted to your work and your fans!

To Rosario and Tracie: I love hearing your voices meshing with the original cast in the movie soundtrack; you two are brill. I can't wait to see you guys on screen.

Posted by: Tammy on 10/14/05 at 02:03 AM

I'm so excited to see your preformances for myself!! Us RENTheads are all 100% behind you! We love you guys so much for staying true to the original show we all love! I know Jonathan Larson would be just as proud as we are. Thanks!

Okay, this movie is going to be AMAZING! I adored the musical and I listened to the music non-stop. Actually, funny story, I was leaving the My Chemical Romance concert the other week, and we got in the car and I put in Rent. :-D The people in the parking lot looked at me like I was on crack, but I didn't care. The movie comes out 13 days after my birthday, and I fully intend upon seeing it for my 17th. Keep up the good work guys! Looking forward to the movie.

xoxo Love always and forever, Britany

Posted by: Britany on 10/14/05 at 06:42 AM

Thanks for the video entries guys!!! YOu all look great assuring us rentheads that the film will be great, well, we know it will be no doubt! The only disappointment for me is the fact that in my country, Philippines, the film will be shown on March, 2006. I just want you guys to know that Rent's message has reached far across the seas, and the love that blossomed from its music and words by Jonathan Larson inspired a lot of people with different ethnicity. Wish all the cast the best and Rosario, YOU'RE JUST TOTALLY SEXY AND AMAZING!

Posted by: Winston on 10/14/05 at 09:36 AM

Every entry gets me even MORE excited for the movie!!!

This is great!
My mom told me about the musical in July and I listened to the broadway cast recording forever and annoyed my friends to no end singing it aloud...*breath* So I started feeling sad because I knewe I would never see it, and I looked for it on the internet and... RENT MOVIE!
I actually screamed and jumped up and down, I was so exited! I am so happy you're making a movie, so now I can see and experience Rent! This is amazing!
Lots of Love!

I was extremely bummed to find out that the cast appeared on Regis and Kelly yesterday, and no one ever told us they'd be on... that is to say, the blog never posted that they'd be on, like they did with the Today Show... Saddly a long time Rent fan is now a bit worried that that which is RENT: The Movie might be starting to drift from it's fans a little bit... C'mon guys... we still wanna see and hear ALL that is Rent... We're nutty like that!!! :)

Posted by: Scotty on 10/14/05 at 05:26 PM

OOOOOh my gosh. I love Rent and all of you guys SO MUCH. Especially Idina, you are amazing....not only as Maureen but as Elphaba in Wicked! I recently got into Wicked and you have an AMAZING voice! And the rest of you guys, you're also awesome. I love you all so much. I cannot WAIT for the Rent movie so my friends can finally understand why I'm always singing songs from it! :-) keep up the great work guys, I love ya!

Thank you to our fantastic cast for your dedication to the fans. It means so much to see you all interacting with us and sharing in our joy to see this show make the transition to film. just want to say to all of you guys in this cast, i just picked up the movie soundtrack, and wow! you guys are somethings else. tracie and rosario, you guys sound so amazing. and the rest, wow, i didnt think you could improve on the original broadway recording, but you did. i was talkig to my high school drama teacher and she is taking her class of 35! to see the movie on opening night. i'll be there with all my friends. its gonna be so great. you guys have no idea how excited i am. good luck with all the promotions and stuff you have to do, and thank you so much for actually caring about the fans. thats why we love you guys so much!

The Soundtrack is so great, it has more depth and harmonies that make it special. I think it is so special that I have 2 copies, I reciently bought a new car with a CD player in it so I needed a second copy. I am making many people around me crazy because this movie is all I can talk about, I have converted a few who now plan to see the movie.

Jesse, although I missed you at the end of last season of Law and Order, I now am convinced that this movie will be great!!!!! I work as a nurse in AIDS research so I am glad this movie is coming out because this disease needs to be stopped, and keeping people talking about it will help.

Thank you all for keeping us Rent Heads informed about everything relating to RENT. Will you be making any appearances in Philly??? I girl can dream.

40 days and counting,

Peace,

Tori

Hey Rent Cast! I just wanted to let you know that I am huge fan of the musical and I can not wait to see the movie. I have actually worn out my OBC CD since I have played on a regular basis for the past seven years or so. A few years ago I even did a speech on Jonathan Larson and Rent for my speech class. I have tried to follow each of your careers after Rent and it is so exciting to see them merge again. For those of you who are new to the cast, I can not wait to see your performance. I know that your performances will truly carry the spirit and life Jonathan Larson envisioned for Rent. I believe Rent is truly a beautiful picture of life and all of you hold a special place in my heart.

Love,
Eric

wow I can't wait to see this movie. no joke, I've been watching the trailer literlly every single day since they came out. I am so excited. Irefuse to listen to the soundtrack until I actually get to see the movie, which is way harder than it sounds. I at a store and I had the soundtrack in my hands, I was so close to buying it, it was soo hard to actually set it down and walk away! Anyway I love this blog, you guys are awsome!

Posted by: Nichole on 10/15/05 at 04:30 AM

Hey cast of RENT. I just wanted to let you guys know how much the play has affected my life. Ever since i first heard the OBC cd, i fell in love with it and listened to it over and over and over. And naturally, I share my cds with friends. One person in particular. I lent it to her, and she listened to it all hours of the day. A side note about her, before she began listening, she was having several emotional problems, and suicide was only steps away. I have never seen anyone happier now. I don't really know how you all would interpret that, but you guys saved someones life. Thank you so much.

Great blog! I'm so thankful to all of you for making the movie so magical. Just from the soundtrack i can feel the emotion and power in every word. Every song is wonderful, and every time i listen to the second CD I am in tears by the end! That's a good thing though...you guys have really brought the emotion of the whole musical and subject across just through your singing and words. thank you so much. I LOVE RENT and now i am just counting down the days until the movie!

I've been fortunate enough to see Rent staged perfectly. In my home town of Leicester Mr Paul Kerryson directed a touring version that went on in the UK for two years. Al Larson saw it on it's third night of being performed and said that it was only bettered by the Broadway version. With the greatest respect, I think if he had seen the returning version after a year where the cast had a chance to bond so much together, his opinion might have been even higher.
I love Rent so much and I admit that I was one of the ones who thought that it should never have been made into a film. Through this site and the blogs, I'm now looking forward to it. Even if this film fails, it's gone through all the procedures it could have to preserve the spirit of the show.
My dream is to get to see Rent on Broadway. I know that I'll probably never do that but it's a dream that keeps me going. I've seen stuff in theatres that have had an impact on me but nothing has done anything quite like Rent.
Thankyou all for everything that you've shared with us, we appreciate it so much. God bless all of you and I hope to see you all at the UK premiere. I've never wanted to see a Premiere before but if I have a chance, I will be there for Rent singing at the top of my(bad) voice!

I find your appreciation of our input so completely amazing. I don't think I've ever seen anything like it. Thank you so much for making the fans a part of this! We love you! Only 38 more days till the movie! I'd better get busy knitting my Mark Scarf! ;-)

Ahhhh... where to begin? Every time I even think about this show, tears well in my eyes. I think it's the love that does it to me. I kick myself when I think that I had a season subscription to Manhattan Theater Workshop the year that RENT premiered there, and didn't go because I didn't know anything about the show and seemed like there was something more important to do at the time.

Since then, I've seen it three times at the Nederlander, twice at the Des Moines Civic Center with the national tour, and have the original cast soundtrack. The first time I put on the soundtrack, my eyes welled up with the first note.

I'm really looking forward to the movie. No doubt I'll see it at least 2 or 3 times before I can get it on DVD. Probably have to buy the movie soundtrack, too.

Although there are moments in the show that are truly sad (and that's where I cry the most), it's less the sadness and tragedy that get to me, and more the love that is shown between the characters. It really is a show about community -- the one we each create for ourselves and celebrate every day of our lives.

And it still gets to me every time. Thank you Jonathan -- and everyone that has ever had anything to do with bringing this incredibly powerful show to us, no matter the medium or venue.

New to the boards, until now I have only read and rejoiced in knowing there are so many more RENTheads out there than my own crazy-in-love with the show self.

First of all, everyone in the cast is simply amazing. Not just because of your voices, talent, or connection to the RENT legacy, but because of the astounding passion you all have for the story, keeping our passions alive as well.

AIDS is growing even faster, and media are finally beginning to broadcast more awareness commericals to spread the word. I just walked in the 19th annual AIDS Walk Philly today to cover it for a newspaper, and it was an amazing sight: 30,000 people walking together to raise money for HIV/AIDS awareness and education. Even not being personally affected, it was such a heartwarming vision, just like the message of RENT. No day but today. Thanks you guys!

Signed,

Yup, another Idina fan.

Yet Rosario, holy cow, your Mimi blew me away. As soon as I heard the samples I had to run out and buy either the Mimi or Maureen cover, and Mimi was first up. For the first time, I was not mad at Mimi for interupting Life Support with Out Tonight. It was AMAZING! Congratulations! :-D

I have loved Rent ever since I heard the song Season of Love- that turned into getting the soundtrack and researching the musical and finally going to see it. I think it is unbelievably amazing, beautiful, powerful, the list goes on. I listen to the soundtrack straight through all the time, and am in tears by the end of it. The message in Rent is so life-altering, it has affected me personally in such a huge way. I never thought a musical could be so impacting until I saw Rent. So when I heard about the movie I freaked out- and especially when I found out most of the original Broadway cast was going to be in it!! They are all so amazingly talented, and I can't wait to see what Rosario Dawson and Tracie Thoms will bring to their parts. I cannot wait to see it the day it opens, I'm bringing all my friends. I even have a countdown calendar- that speaks for itself, doesn't it?
Much love, Jessica
ps. Jesse, my grandma is a huge fan.

Totally loving the video blog entries, and I'm getting so excited about the movie. Thanks to all of the cast for sharing their insight and experiences. It's great to hear what they have to say about the whole process. Can't wait for November 23rd to roll around, till then these blog entries are awesome! :-)

Lot's of love to you all! And thanks so much for taking your time out to make these videos for us and to answer questions, etc.
