I love these videos. They tend to freak out on me sometimes so I have to restart them.
But anyways I've never been so excited for a movie. I fully intend to drag all of my friends to the movie theater the day it opens. Oh and yes they will moo...;)

I have never ever heard of a project in entertainment that has been as dedicated and as loyal to it's fan base as Rent. Everyone involved in this project seems to have taken their time to make sure that it is what their fans want (and equaly as importaint, it seems to be dedicated to the orginal piece in which it came from).
To say I can't wait to see the movie would be putting it very mildly. We the fans know how much work and dedication on your part has been put into this movie.
I personally wanted to say thank you to everyone who is part of this film for caring so much about the fans!

You guys rock! I have a count down in my planner for the rent movie to come out and me and a couple of my buddys are *cough* skipping school *cough* that day. Actually I don't know if it counts as skipping since my dad offered to call me out. Anyways, the soundtrack is amazing! It has kinda of a more edgy sound to it, I like it. I have a question for everyone, especially for the OBC: Is there a sense of completion and conclusion now that the movie has been made? And what are everyone's plans for the future

So, uh, how many times have I listened to "La Vie Boheme" you may ask? Twenty. And, uh, when did I get the CD? LAST TUESDAY. I now know every word to the entire (movie recording!) of the song. Yeah, that takes skill. Especially with the miso soup part, damn, you guys got skill!

I would have downloaded the desktop expierence but, NATURALLY, the thing hates my Mac. So, a couple of things I have to say. Adam, your wife is one LUCKY woman, Jesse, my mother has the BIGGEST crush on you, (it's a good thing! I swear!), Wilson might just seem like the NICEST person ever, Traci I wish I could stick in my purse and take HOME with me because I love her that much and Rosario just seems like some person I could chill with.

And let me just say, the soundtrack is AMAZING! Love Heals is so wonderful. You guys did an incredible job. I mean, I'll Cover You Reprise brought me to tears, and it's never done that to me before, I know I'll be crying so hard in the movie theater. It's all just so excellent, Take Me or Leave Me has been almost on repeat in my cd player.

Plus, being the extreme RENTheads that my friends and I are, (and please don't think we are crazy) On November 23rd we will be dressing as a character from RENT and seeing every showing of the movie at our local theater...which only is 4 since our local theater isn't a megaplex. SO EXCITED!

I'm fairly certain this is the most fan-conscious/supportive movie ever made. Y'all provide exactly what movies and hollywood are missing these days which is that personal connection with each fan and such dedication to us. We are just as dedicated to y'all as well. You all are loved by so many people who have never even met you and that in itself says something about the type of people you are. I actually did a presentation on the RENT movie today at school and a bunch of people got really psyched about it so I know a bunch of us will be going, and going A LOT. It's going to amazing. Can you believe the growth of your fanbase? Many of the current fans I know were between the ages of 5 and 10 when the show debuted. But the theme of the show is so universal, it transends all generations! Keep up the awesome work guys. I know I am jumping in my seat with anticiaption!

Wow! I just got back into the country last week from my honeymoon and I've been listening to the new Rent soundtrack non-stop. My husband is probably getting a bit annoyed (he's not as Rent-obsessed as I am, though it is his favorite musical), but it's so wonderful! I really like some of the small changes.

I can't wait to see the movie to see why the time line changed. I'm sure there were good reasons, though some of the lyrics will probably always sound a bit off.

I think some of the performances on here are so greatly improved and I'm thrilled about the music! I can't wait to see the movie now that I know for sure that it sounds amazing!

I am so excited about this movie. Been singing along to the music all the time, whether I'm in the car or in my apartment. I LOVE THE NEW MUSIC SOUND! You all sound phenomenal. Adam, I love "Another Day" and "What You Own." They were my favorites on the OBC recording and now also on the movie soundtrack.
Opening day I will be there to see the movie. I'm so happy you remembered us when you worked on the movie. But I had faith in you all from the beginning, and from what I can see you stayed true to the Rent soul.
I cannot wait to see it on the big screen and God only knows I'll probably go broke watching it in theaters a million times. And my friends will hate me for dragging them all along.

Oh man I can't wait, almost a month! The soundtrack sounds so good, and you guys look and sound terrific. Big question - once the movie is released, makes tons of money and sweeps every award out there... is there any plan on having the original broadway cast stage performance released on a 2-disc special edition dvd of the movie ??? The official "Rent" site of the broadway show has a couple of clips of what appears to be a taped performace of the OBC on stage, so I would assume a complete performance exists. I'm sure that I would not be the only "Rent-head" who would love to have this happen !!!

I am new to this and seeing like the previews and all i can like say is that every thing looks amazing. one of my friends a few years ago took me to a show of rent and ever since loved the show and now i want to just grab my friend and their friends say we have to go see this. I was planning on seeing the movie midnight showing (if they have one) or first one but then my dad decided that we are going to mexico for Thanksgiving! DUDE! They will so NOT have Rent in Mexico. SO majorly sad day. Lets push up the opening to Nov. 11. Cause thats way cooler.

This is a truly incredible site and not necessarily esoteric to people that have not yet seen the show. I, of course have seen it but never have been fortunate to see it with so many of the original cast members that we are so lucky to get in the film. The artistic and structural integrity of the show really seems like it was held and for that, I truly am grateful. There is absolutely no doubt that this film will be nominated for Best Picture for next year's Oscars! Good luck to every actor here and I will be seeing this IMMEDIATELY after your premiere!

I have been a RENT fan since our Jazz Rock Ensemble performed a medley of RENT music on stage for our school, parents, and sponsors. We had a great time, and were all set to go and see the musical in New York until there was a death in our teacher's family. We love the music, and from all of our members now and of the past we thank you! People are surprised that I am a RENT fan because I am a very devout Catholic. I keep telling them that I love RENT not only for the music, but for the in-depth look it takes on Bohemian living in a big city. I am a strong advocate for minority rights and I live for RENT. I want to personally thank all of you, the actors, singers, fans, and supporters for making RENT a part of anyone who needs support in their life. Thank you and keep up the good work!

Well I am a huge RENT fan and I was so excited to finally see this come out to the big screen. Not only will I get to see my favorite cast of RENT (whom unfortunately I never got to see perform live, though I have see the play at least 10 times), but for everyone who hasn't had an opprotunity to every see it they will experience the best show out there. I was so happy to see that most of the OBC was going to be in the movie. Adam, your voice is EXTRODINARY!!!! I was particully happy to see that you would be back (as the rest of you). I have both your CD's and I have listened to them so much they are almost worn out LOL.
I just purchased the movie Soundtrack CD and I must say it is amazing. I was a little worried about it because I love the OBCR one (which I know by heart lol so much so that I could fill in for anyone of you on stage LOL that is what my family and friends say), but you guys proved that you just get better with time. It is amazing and I can't wait for Nov. 23!!! Keep up the great work and thank you so much for keeping RENT alive!!!!

Ever since I heard about the existance of the movie version of Rent I've been looking forward to seeing it. I became a loyal renthead in 97 and saw the broadway version in 2000. BUT, right now I live in Europe (Denmark), and I am doubtful as to whether this movie (which, sadly to say, has not quite reached as many Europeans as Americans) will make it over here. But I so want to see it! Will I be forced to wait till the DVD comes out (IF it comes out here) and buy that before I can see what all the hard work has been for? I sincerely hope not. Is there ANYTHING anyone can do to help emotionally-starving rentheads in Europe get this movie in theaters across Europe?

As another diehard RENThead, I can only speak for myself (even though I know, in doing so, I can speak for many of us) when I ask: you guys are aware of how huge this 11/23 opening is going to be, right? I mean, does the press even have ANY idea what the box office is going to be like. I had thought RENT was opening in major markets on 11/11, but, I guess it is going wide right away on 11/23. Does anyone know what kind of box office receipts Revolution/Columbia are projecting?

RENT has always been my favorite play, I talk about it SO much my parents have now stopped listening ><"". Thank you ALL for being so considerate with fans when filming this. I can't wait to see the film, which thankfully is on a day where I have no school so my friends and I can go see it :). I was turned on to Rent just recently through the Broadway soundtrack, and I was immediately captured by "One Song Glory." Something about that song--the sparse guitar accompaniment at the beginning, the lyrics, and the passion you put into singing it--makes me burst into song and become really emotional. Just wanted to thank you for making the song so beautiful.

This is for Adam in case he answers some questions from us. First of all I need to say that you are my hero and I think you are one of the most talented actor/singers out there. Wow hey! this is so cool! my parents saw RENT when it first came out in '96 and they fell in love with it. I was this little six year old who didn't understand what any of it meant and yet i would dance around my living room singing "What You Own" until my voice was hoarse. Now, almost ten years later, I understand the meaning of the production and it has affected my life so much....and i'm still dancing around my living room singing "What You Own" plus all of the other songs in the play. I honestly have every single word memorized. I just love it so much! I cannot wait to see the movie...OPENING DAY haha! I'm such a big fan of all of you guys! I listen to the Wicked soundtrack religiously and well, Taye Diggs is in some of my favorite movies ever! I'm pretty much in love with you all really! omgosh i love you guys soo much! rent has changed my life in ways that i can't say! i know that it was "just a movie", but it was amazing and held so much truth!
i had no idea what it was about until about a week before i saw it i'm ashamed to say. i just knew i had to see it when i saw the preview and it was Detective Green!!!!i love law and order(i started watching it with my mom a few years ago) and when i saw the preview i was so excited--detective green could sing!!
i left with soo much more than i went in with. i loved everything about it. the music's amazing--i listen to the soundtrack practically nonstop. my friends think im wierd, but whatever.
let's start with who i already "knew"--jessie. you were spectacular! in the beginning when you got beat up, i was like "heyy you can't assult a police officer!" lol. sante fe was amazing! you have a beautiful voice and it took soo much strength to do all that on the poles! you should try that with fontana sometime! heehee
and this of course leads me to wilson. i loved angel! so sweet! s/he had such a grip on what life was about and showed it in such an interesting way. the chemistry between you and jessie was awesome! i loved today for4 u. the flipping off the wall reminded me of singing in the rain.
adam--i fell in love! i just wanted to hug you because you were so sad. an amazing voice--one song glory was beautiful. i loved how you an rosario were together. from your blogs i can tell that you're a nice guy for real too. (same with everyone else!!)
anthony was awesome as well! la vie boheme was probably my favorite! well, i loved everything! you seemed like adams big bro. it was so sweet.
rosario was amazing! your singing and dancing was unbelievable! would you light my candle was one of my favorite favorites too. you did so well with adam!
indina and tracie did soo well together! as tracie said, it'd be hard to play a lesbian when youre not one. you guys didnt look wierd or anything! well done!!!
you were all AMAZING!!! rent will continue to occupy my thoughts (and ears) for a long time--forever!! thank you so much for such a wonderful performance!! i love you all!!!

Hello to the wonderful and beautiful cast!
This musicle has seriously changed the way that I look at people. I've always recognized the beauty in people but this production just explains everything perfectly. I just came back from seeing the movie and it was definatly the best movie that I've seen in a long while. It is very hard to convert a musicle onto the big screen but you guys pulled it off! Kuddos!!
Anthony: You are the true definition of what Mark is. You played the character with such grace and you really worked that camra ;)
Adam: I was truly touched by your performance. So true and emotional. You're everything that I pictured in Rodger, wonderful.
Rosario: If I didn't know any better I would have really thought that you were a herowine addicted stripper (that's not a bad thing lol). Great acting! You are beautiful!
Jesse: You made me smile every time I saw you come on the screen. Such a sweetheart and so full of love.
Wilson: Words just can't describe it. You were so perfect. Such an inspiration!
Idina: So sassy! You definately are and always will be the perfect Maureen. Moo. Beautiful!
Tracie: So good with everything you did in the movie. I felt what you were feeling. So beautiful!

I have seen the movie twice so far and go for a third time tomorrow. While having never been fortunate to see the musical on stage (thus far), I have been a fan of the music for years. And Wow! It was fantastic on the screen. I fell in love with it all over again, and to see it played out was incredible. It was truly a life-changing experience. I tell everyone that you don't walk out of that theatre the same person you were when you walked in.

I'm posting this ages after everyone else has, or so it seems. I absolutely love seeing that even with a busy schedule and having a life so engrossed in a movie, you all still find time to say hello to everyone and tell everyone what's up. So who knows if you all still read this but, let me tell you a story.

I have a friend who has been obsessed with Rent. He's loved it long before the movie came out and I keep having to remind him that Mark Cohen is a character. Anyway. He would sing it before, during, and after our band rehearsals, he'd sing it at parties, and I'm not going to lie - I wanted to punch him in the face. I had never heard Rent before but all I'd ever heard was him SINGING it so I didn't know what to think. And when the movie came out, he obsessed over it, told me to see it, yadda yadda. Finally, he held a Rent party (there were about 40 people in his basement singing La Vie Boheme and I could hear it from his front porch, it was really funny) and I thought, well why not go to this party and see what the fuss is about?

In short, I saw the last half of the movie and sobbed. I only saw HALF and you all still brought me to tears. So I decided that I needed to rent it on my own and watch it. I did, and it's completely changed my life. I feel different now that I've seen it, I feel amazing because I've been exposed to such a powerful story. Thank you, thank you, thank you for changing me. I feel like a new person.

Where to start??? The movie was AMAZING!!!!! I loved it. And, I watch it all the time now since I own the DVD, next step is to make it to New York to see Rent on Broadway. You are all AMAZING.... Roger's character, compares/so similar to me at times even though I try to not push people away...."No Day But Today." Thank you for that, it taught me a lot and to believe in not only myself but also others. Much love, you are all amazing:)
