This is still one of my very favorite songs from RENT and the newer movie version is even better than the OBC. The darker, grittier sound is so different from the original. Since he first sang OSG, you can hear the growth and evolution he has made with the character and song over the years.

ok Adam, you've just proven to me why RENT holds such a special place in my heart and the hearts of fans all over the world.....the emotion and vulnerability which fills yours and everyones vocal performances. I can't think of another musical which features characters we can actually relate to. I hope there are more closeups in this film though! Unlike on the stage where body movement conveys character, film requires reading the face more, in my opinion. And all of you have such expressive faces it'd be a shame not to see them fill the screen! Peace out.

I'm not going to lie, I was pretty skeptical AT FIRST when I heard that your voice was slightly different on this new soundtrack than the original. But now as I see the clips of the movie, I realize it was definitely a change for the better! I now know that I can't hold on the the Roger and the Pascal voice of 10 years ago, which I had gotten so used to. It was hard for me (and other fans) to accept change, but the emotion I now see in the clips is such a beautiful thing, that it's a change I'm willing to accept. In my opinion, nothing can replace the Original, yet this new one, in conjunction with the anticipated movie, is so refreshing!

I've always LOVED Rogers characters since it's so personal, and so is Adams story. Words cannot describe how amazingly excited I am for this film. I've seen RENT twice and I have always longed to see the original cast in action, and this film gives me that opprotunity. I am a HUGE musical theatre fan and also a 3rd year Theatre student and long to have such amazing careers as the phenomenal Idina Menzel, Adam Pascal and the others of course! I remember the first time I heard the music from Rent. Wow, that must have been about 9 years ago. We sang it for my High School select choir. It doesnt matter, where you are, or what your mood, the score can always pierce to the core of your being.

"One Song" is one of my favorite songs! How's performing in the movie different from singing live on stage? Do you remember Ben and Raechel (assistant set designer and part time dresser) from 1996 in New York - they're grown-up friends of mine.

This is perhaps one of my most favorite songs in RENT. Nobody can do like you Adam. You simply belt out the angst, passion, and pain within Roger. The sune along with some of the most poetic lyrics makes this song exceptional.

Adam, I am a fairly recent Rent-head who finally got to see the Show for the 1st time this past summer when returning to NYC for the first time since I was 4. Anyway, One Song Glory was the very first piece I ever heard from the Rent Soundtrack, and I was hooked for life. You rock! The song has touched me in so many ways, and has given me a new lease on life. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

Okay... i want to start off by saying that I have been such a huge fan of you, Adam ever since your original RENT days and AIDA days. my mother would save every penny she had just to see those shows and i would go with her and id have to sit on her lap the whole show. she could not offord two tickets, but i am very grateful that i was able to see the shows too. I have grown up listening to the original soundtracks to both and i don't go anywhere without them. They are always on my ipod and cheer me up when i am having a bad day. Dude, I just watched the One Song Glory bit...FRIGGIN AMAZING! I have seen the show 3 times and everytime i cry because, it has to be emotionally draining and hard to have to know that you are going to die soon. Adam, you do a wuite amazing job of belting all that crap out. I also bought the cd and a amazed at how well it is done. I was kinda dreading it just because when i bought the Phantom and Chicago movie soundtrack, it was very different and....crappy. The RENT soundtrack rules. OMG!!!!! Glory is my favorite song from the play and although Adam Pascal let his hair grow, looks great by the way, I still get chills. I have the Original Broadway Production on a dual cassette and plan on getting the soundtrack for the movie as well. Let me preface this by saying I know I will probably sound crazy! I have never seen a blog before but I from my quick read through it looks to be a way to write to the cast members and tell them what they have meant to us. Well for my 16th birthday my mom took me to see rent and while it seems to have inspired other bloggers to pursue acting, as I know I have no acting ability, it led me in another direction. When I left RENT I knew that I wanted to dedicate my career to treating patients with HIV and AIDS related illenesses. Now ten years after I saw the musical, I am about to graduate from medical school and begin my residency in internal medicine after which I will complete a fellowship in infectious disease. Well anyways I thought you should know that the story you brought to life in RENT has inspired people in all facets of life and has led me down an extraordinary path. Thank you!

I have been a fan of RENT since I was 16. I've always had a bit of a crush on Roger. (It sounds like I'm not alone heehee) I was so excited to hear about the movie and that you would be playing him!! You have one of the most amazing voices I have ever heard. I can't wait to see the movie!! I live in South Dakota, so I never got to see any of the orginal cast members in RENT. I'm so excited!!

I saw RENT last night. Through my sister's friend's boyfriend we got premier tickets. The movie was amazing. As we sat next to 6 50something-year old women who had no idea what they were getting themselves into my sister and I could barely contain ourselves. There's so much I want to comment and compliment on but I don't want to ruin it for everyone. But it was amazing and I can't wait to see it again when it's out for real!!

I remember going to see Rent for the first time when it was touring. When 'One Song Glory' played, I was 20 yrs old and I was just torn apart. I was having chest pains and thinking that the 'Family Heart' had been passed on to me. I was scared to go to the doctor to find out what it was because I was too young to die and I also was trying to write music and make something happen for myself but the songs just weren't coming. I bought the sound track the day after seeing the show and that song has just inspired me.
I went to the doctor, and everything ended up fine and I have been singing and even played shows and I am getting good feedback about my music. All along the way RENT has been an amazing inspiration. So Thanks Jonothan Larson for a touching song and thanks Adam Pascal for singing it beautifully.

OMG! I FINALLY SAW THE MOVIE! It was amazing! The thing was, we got to the movie theatre late. This was the first song I heard. When I heard that song, I was like "I knew I recognized him!" omfg! deffinately my favorite song EVER! i loved in the movie how it went to flashbacks of rodger and april, that was fricken awesome. me and the largest group of my friends ever went to see the movie at 3:30 on the 23rd. we went at 2 to get tickets and pizza before hand. we all sang along to most of the songs, it was awesome. i was lucky enough to get in for free becuz my friends mom works at the theaters. it was deffinately the best movie experience of my life. i cried so much and laughed so hard i cried (La Vie Bomheme mainly)it was wonderful. I've been waiting for the movie since my school did rent for chorus (one song glory being sung by one of my best friends)and soon after that my friend found out about the movie. we went through about an hour of panic when a rumor went around saying that the theater was going to be closed that day, i cried i was so devistated. then my friend called me saying that she found that it was indeed open on the 23rd. but i deffinately am getting the DVD first day its availible, im also planning on seeing it in theaters agian.

I just think One Song Glory is such a haunting song, I get goose bumps whenever it starts by thinking of how it applies to Jonathon Larson. I wonder how Adam could sing it that day without crying, the day that Jonathan died and they had to perform.

It's also interesting how depressed Roger is and how happy go lucky Adam portrays himself, even though from what I've read, he thinks Anthony is a much happier person than himself.

And yeah like everyone else I wonder what his wife thinks of him kissing Rosario, but I guess actors do that stuff!

I want his CD to see what he's REALLY like.
