Thanks for the video, guys, it was awesome. Also, Taye wins at life. I've already bought my tickets (November 22nd, 12:01, at the Ziegfeld) and I'm so excited.

By the way: I'm really mad at whoever manages this blog for not posting a notice about the Bloomingdale's appearance. Because honestly, RENT and Bloomingdale's are the two things that I live for, and I definitely would have gone had I known about it. I'm a high school senior, and my school is on 94th between Madison and Park. I could have easily gotten on the 6 train at 96th Street and taken it down to 59th during my lunch break. I would have even been willing to cut Econ to get there in time. Wait, let me rephrase that: I would have been GLAD to cut Econ to get there in time. You guys have no idea how upset I was when I got home and saw the pictures from the event online. I practically started crying. I know there are posts about various benefits, but some advance warning for things like this in the future would be great.

And just a request - if you guys could post a quicktime of the new "Out Tonight" music video that is on VH1's site, you'd make MILLIONS of mac users happy, because they can't watch it. Thanks.

Rosario: OK so after watching the Out Tonight video I was sending the link to EVERYONE on my buddylist, I was freaking out because OMG IT WAS SOOO AMAZING! There could not have been a better choie for the movie-Mimi than you!

Taye: I love how you totally forgot about the photo shoot for LIFE magazine and had to get a cab. That's just awesome. And the fact that it was two and a half hours later just makes it even awesomer....more awesome.

ok just adding to the amazing obsessiveness over this movie...because clearly it is going to be AMAZING!!! its insane how far you all have come since the original performance of RENT on broadway..and now ur in obviously the most amazing movie ever! i have to say i was a little hesitant when i heard the soundtrack because its so different than the original...but i still bought it on itunes!!! ok--do u seriously read this stuff?

This was such a great excuse to put off the Spanish homework of doom for another few minutes. (Nothing like waiting until the day before its due to even START looking over the chapter.)

Taye: You're so silly. My friends and I watched House on Haunted Hill the other night (okay, more like one in the morning) and kept the whole floor up by screaming, "MMM Taye Diggs!" every time you appeared. It was pretty sweet, we were too busy giggling to get scared.

Wilson: I thought the Angel cover was pretty sweet too, although, I had to get Mark. I was seriously debating it for a little bit though. I mean, its awesome when guys look better in heels and a skirt than I do. ^_^ And Angel's my homegirl. I heart Angel.

I can't believe but I am even more psyched to see the movie. I had the amazing opportunity to see the show in NY over the summer and have turned into such a RENThead [i was slightly before, but it really wasn't something that i had been introduced to]. Anyway you guys are amazing!!!

Tracie, you are so incredibly gorgeous!!!! And I can't believe your voice, so incredible. I absolutly love your performance with Idina of "Take me or leave me" at Bryant Park. It made me love that song so much more.

Wilson!! Dude you're so awesome. You make Angel shine. What is it like to get back into Angel and his shoes after all this time [other than painful =} ]? I was sitting in the movie theatre and two teenage rocker type guys were in front of me and whenever you took off your wig, they freaked. When RENT comes up behind the casts' silhouettes, one turns to the other and tells him it is a broadway musical. It just goes to show how widespread and know RENT is.
Taye, I am glad you made it to the photoshoot. You and Idina are so gorgeous together. Best of luck with the run of "A Soldier's Play."

Tracie and Rosario: You two have by far become my favorite cast members of the movie. Not that I don't love EVERYONE - because belive me, I absolutely DO - but you two just seem so excited about everything that is happening and so proud to have been given this opportunity. (Especially you, Tracie. I know you think you're not a star yet, but in my eyes - you are. This is such a big role to take on and you can seriously sing that shit out of EVERYTHING. When no one's home, I try to do your "Seasons of Love" solo, but I haven't been able master it yet. LOL. I'm looking forward to seeing you in so many more things to come. It's neat to see how you all have become so close.

I saw the trailer for this on tv today and am already well versed in the aspects of the movie that are available. I have been inlove with this show since the first moment i saw it at the age of fourteen. i have since seen the show numerous times and am farmiliar with every variation of the cast. i realize that while its not my place, i whole heartedly approve of all the people playing these roles... these lives. can't wait for the movie it allows things that could never really be done on stage...

Hey there...I don't think I've posted a comment on here before...and I don't see how you guys possibly get to them all, but I think it's great that you do. I've been a big fan of RENT for around 5 years now. Lately, I feel the passion, the power, and the magic of the story more than ever. I guess I have the upcoming movie release and the hype surrounding it to thank for that. Never would I have imagined growing up, that a Broadway musical would end up becoming so so important to me (and so many others). It has had such an impact on my life.

The first time I saw the show was in 2000. At the time, my dad had been battling Leukemia, and he was steadily getting worse. He became so ill that he could no longer walk or even sit up in bed. It was obviously a pretty hard time. Amidst all that craziness, I did see the show a few times...and although it was almost hard to watch, the parts when Angel is getting sick or nearing death...was almost bittersweet. I think, somehow, watching that kept me grounded. It made me realize that no matter what, my dad would find peace in the end because of love. I realized...as long as me and my family continued to surround him with that love, that things would be okay. ....I never thought a damn MUSICAL could do something like that. I still can't believe that. ...I think that has a lot to do with why I feel so touched by the story.

Jonathan really put his heart and soul into Rent and I just wish (like everyone else) that he had been able to see the success it has achieved.

Also...for me, just knowing that there is this amazing community of "Rentheads" that share an undying love for this story makes my heart happy! I don't know anyone in "real life" who appreciates Rent as much as I do, so I really appreciate being able to come on this website or other Rent sites to meet people who do.

I hate to be sappy, but I'm just so glad that this movie is happening and that so many of the OBC are starring in it -- I'm amazed that that happened, ...and honestly am *very* thankful that they didn't use huge Hollywood names for marketing purposes, which I think would have overshadowed the simplicity and importance of the story. I guess the film industry has to get props every now and then.

Sooo...I just bought a ticket to the movie premiere at the Peter Norton Symphony Space -- I got a 6th row center ticket! ...However, I will be flying solo. I know I'll end up meeting some great people there, so I'm looking forward to that. ...And hopefully will get to meet Anthony afterwards?? :o) -- Ok, here's to hoping.

Thank you again, cast + crew, for making what will undoubtedly be an unforgettable film. Now we'll have Rent forever. <3

So...great video by the way, but I had to share this funny story. As I was watching the video, my roommate made fun of me because I talk as though I know you guys. When Taye said he was late for the photo shoot I turned to my roommate and said, "I'll bet Idina yelled at him." And she made fun of me. I know I don't know you all, but I feel like I do from watching these videos. Thanks for bringing us all closer to the world that you all live in!

Back in 1998, I became a renthead. I went to my first show, where unfort. none of you were in the cast. Then I went on to see rent 14 times in four different cities, always taking a "rent virgin" with me. I've see other shows, like Aida (to see Adam), Wicked (Idina), Rent (Wilson), Rocky Horror (Daphne), Henry V (Anthony), a show at Kean College (Adam and Daphne)... And I have pics with some of yha. Thanks so much for being so involved with the fans. I thought I was over my rentheadedness, but since the start of this blog, it's come back full force, imagine, me a 25 yr old grad student, giddy like a lovestruck teen. Thanks for that feeling!!! Can't wait for the 23rd, and thanks for the postings. It makes my day!!!

And as hard as I try, my words are just so inadequate to describe to the people here the beauty and love and life that is RENT. I am a little nervous to see the movie. Many of the song were played at my best friends funeral. She was murdered over 4 years ago... and still to this day ~Without You~ is hard to listen to.

I started to cry when I saw the preview a few months back.. Seasons of love... pouring out... Is this a dream.. someone Pinch me!

No day but today!!!! Except I wish it was tomorrow....or a few weeks from now.....when the movie finally comes out!!!!!! I'm going to have such an awesome Thanksgiving break thanks to all of you guys in the cast-I'm seeing "Wicked" in Chicago on the 22nd, then the "RENT" movie the next day!!!! Yay for mild obsessions with musicals of all sorts! :)

by the way, my fellow Rent lovers, if you live in NYC, on the 2nd floor of the 59th street bloomingdales, there is a section devoted to clothing based on Rent. I bought a scarf. quite exciting!

I can't wait for these magazines to come out. I remember the days where I was counting down in the hundreds for RENT... now, aah! 24 days and counting! I can't believe it... because I thought it would never come.

So how cool is this? Got a mag cover, got a record, and in just 24 days, got a MOVIE! Life is good for Rentheads. Life is good. Though I got a Benny cover, not an Angel, because someone who knows nothing about Rent got it for me for my birthday. Admittedly, however, even if I had seen this, had I been given a choice, I would've gotten Mark, because I heart him! Except, not with a beard. He looks like my director. But my Benny cover is cooler now that I've seen this blog - I totally love Taye Diggs right now!

Yo. I can't believe that the movie is coming out sooooo soon. I've seen the trailer on TV twice and I stopped breathing both times. The first time I waws in Orlando and ran to a restaurant to tell my family. The second time I was with my best friend and we ran out of her room to tell her mom. It was sooooo weird and it brought the feeling that the movie is really coming out, and it really exsists. The trailer looks amazing and I can't wait to see the movie!! Every one of the videos are amazing!!! I have seen the preview on TV once, my mom has seen it as well and a friend of mine who I am dragging with me opening night in Philadelphia has seen it twice. Right now Philadelphia is going thru a transit strike, this is day 2 ALL fellow RENT Heads please pray that they settle the strike before November 23 because that will make getting to and from the premire more of a chalange. It however will not stop me!!!!!. So who is winning the contest on favorite CD cover, I have Collins and Roger.

I have been a Rent fan since high school. I'm one of those fans who has never been able to see the show onstage though! I've performed the music, I own all the cd's, I know the story, and I've never been able to afford to see it live. This has been a constant source of embarassment and pain. I'm so excited about this movie, ESPECIALLY since I wanted to see this show performed by its original cast. "Seasons of Love" was my graduation song and we did our best to live up to you when we sang it! I think you should know that your message has spread even to people who have never seen the production. You are amazing!

hey guys. this comment goes to Rosario. every morning at my school we have some tv program called channel one. Well, this morning I saw it and the girl on the tv looked very familiar. Then i looked a little closer and looked at a magazine i had with a poster thing for rent in it and i realized who it was. i screamed really loud and everybody was staring at me. i told my other friend who is a big fanatic of rent that it was you. and she swoar to buddah (ha ha) that it wasnt you. i kept telling her that it was and then when seasons of love came on she knew i was right and i was so proud of myself. i just felt like telling you that because im such a big fan of all you cast members. xoxo, ansley

Rosario (and fellow Rentheads)--Thought you'd enjoy this anecdote--I met some guy the other night, and after we were introduced, he said, "You remind me of..." and it was too good to pass up. I said, "I always remind people of...who is she?" But alas, he was clearly not a Renthead, as his response was, "Someone at work." But at least I amused myself to no end. :)

Wilson--for like the 6th time I saw your "SVU" episode the other night--it's unreal how you absolutely OWN whatever scene you're in. You are truly amazing.

Amazing video clips!! I'm a huge fan of Rent, didn't really know about it until I went to New York In April of 2005. I saw Rent on Broadway and let me tell you straight up it changed the way I look at life. I can't wait to see the movie and I really hope it meets or even exceeds my expectations. Love to everyone.

I'm such a huge, over obsessed RENT fan. In my 8th grade year, my middle school merged with the high school marching band and our music was RENT. And let me tell you what. YOU ALL WOULD BE PROUD!!!!! :0) For a band that had never performed against other bands such as MBOA, or competitions, we placed 4th in the state of Michigan with only a 1.25 margin til 1st place. The only reason we didn't win was becuase we were so new but all of our comments from judges and other bands we just amazing. They all said we were the best and should have one. And that is when i became the over obsessed fan. I saw the play in Detroit, MI in Dec. of 2001. My mom took me for my birthday. She fell in love with Rent also. I am so excited for Nov. 23rd. It's taking so long to get their. I know when I'm sitting in the theatre i'm going to be singing right along. AWESOME JOB BY EVERYONE AND THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE INSPIRATION THAT YOU HAVE GIVING ME TO LIVE EACH DAY BY EACH DAY. keep doing what your doing and don't let RENT ever go away. I'm so proud to say that I have seen such an amazing play and heard such great music. I can't say it enough how much I LOVE the play or music, i miss playing it. I wish success and luck to all.

I am a huge fan of the broadway play rent. Even though I haven't seen the play I have read up on the backstory of rent. Jonthan Larson was an amazing person, he had such a vision, and I am very sad that he didn't see what amazing talent was up on the stage opening night. I Love the movie and I hope it goes on to great success.

You guys look like you are having the time of your life. The movie was great and everything that I could have hoped for. I am so excited that they stayed true to the original master piece of RENT. It was so great to have most of the original cast back together and Rosario and Tracie looked like they have always been there, amazing. To all of you, thank you for all your energy and love for this show, it made the experience a million times better. And now avalible for many generations after. Thank goodness they did it right with you guys.
