Anyway I just wanted to say thank you soo much for being our real life Mark and showing us all behind the scenes!! now when I go to see the movie I'll be able to say "yeah it actually could have been nighttime when they shot that but they had really big lights that shine through the window to make it look like sunshine coming through!" and people will go "how in the heck did you know that??" hehe :D

I was watching your video on the set of Tango:Maureen and the riot, and as soon as I saw those chairs, I knew it was my life's mission to own one. Well, not really, my life's mission is to make it to Broadway, but maybe the next week's mission. Anyway, you could probably make a lot of money if you auctioned one off on Ebay and had the proceeds go to AIDS. I love you, Anthony, you've always been my favorite, and I appreciate these wonderful videos.

I loved seeing the equipment, for an actress, I'm really way too into the cameras and such. Lovely as always, Anthony. Your poor chair...in a down room...it may be scared of the dark *goes and steals...LIBERATES it, runs off giggling*

I love the behind the scenes of not just the acting, but the behind camera stuff that not everyone sees. It is a lot to making a movie, other than just actors acting and you're so cool to make us all feel like such a part of every step.

Theres so many things I keep wanting to tell you in this blog but I just don't have the time or words. Back in June when I found it I got super excited about being able to send messages to the original cast. Johnathan Larson changed my life. He made dreams coming true possible, and at 10 years old when I discovered this show, it made my dream of moving to NY and studying fine arts a big reality. In 4 months I'm going to know if SVA has accpeted me and if this is possible. Your show, becuase really to me your character represents him, has be such a profound influence on me in these past few years. I just want to share a small story with you...

When I was 14 and visiting my grandmother on longisland, I forced my mom to take me into the city one day. I made her schlep across town to get to the Nederlander, in hopes of signing the RENT wall. When I got there do you know what I found? Buildings and a parking lot had taken place of where your signature used to be. I almost cried. I didnt have the money to buy tickets and the lottery ones were already sold, but I went to the guy at the ticket counter, explained why I was there, and do you know what he did? He let me go backstage, into whats basicly an ally behind the theatre where a small portion of the wall was left. I wrote a really personal message to you, I dont remember what it was, but it meant so much to be able to do it. I also got to chat with the guy who was playing the understudy for Mark at the time cause he came out to have a cigerette break.

I just wanted to finally post something to you. I think what your doing is amazing. The chance to spread the message that RENT sends in something like a movie just blows me away. Im really looking forward to november 23...

WONDERFUL SET!!! *squeal of delight* I'm so in love with the metal sculpture--please thank the set crew for us for paying homage to the Broadway set! That set was what sparked my interest in set design.

Oh hey, Anth, there was this article from a gazillion years ago where you said you'd like to live in a crazy Wedding Banquet type of family. I wanted to know, have you ever read/seen the movie of A Home At The End Of The World? If you haven't, you should... although you should have cause I remember reading in a different article somewhere that Dallas Roberts is friends with your brother and he's in that movie. Either way. Its my favorite book and you should check it out.

I met you when Little Shop was in San Diego. I got stuck in traffic so I missed the show, but my friend and I went afterward and met you. I must say, I was completely starstruck. It was closing night and you talked about leaving soon to SF to begin shooting RENT. I was very skeptical about the movie, and I asked how you felt about it. You told me something to the effect of, " we need to go into it with an open mind. You can't just put a play straight to the big screen. It needs to be changed, but they are keeping it as authentic as possible." That definitely put me at ease, so thanks for that. Just out of curiosity, what is your favorite part of the show to perform? What is your favorite song to listen to? I know that when I'm stessed, I chill out to some La Vie Boheme or What You Own. Thanks a ton. see you on the big screen!

Honestly, you are fantastic. I would always go to anything on broadway that you were in. Congratulations on all your sucess. I am 21 years old and a student at Columbia University in New York, Rent did indeed define the last ten years of my life and i'm so glad that the original broadway actors are making the movie. I was worried about a remake, but i go back to the trailer and watch it all the time! My friends from high school and I (all separated since by college and life) are having a reunion to watch the movie together in new york. Thank you for giving us the chance to come back together as you and the cast have a reunion.
I cannot wait to see it, to laugh and cry and go singing in the aisles.

Wow i am so excited about Rent. my piano teacher actually got me all into this about a few months ago when i got to teach and conduct our choir in seasons of love. i fell in love with rent and the music after he told me the story. i can tell it is going to be absolutely amazing! i cry during the previews. and i watch them frequently. yes. i have a countdown. what a geek. yes. im excited though!

I just want to let all of the cast members know how much the music and the story of RENT moves me to no end. I have always been interested in the music and then this past summer I saw the Broadway show with my mom and it was without a doubt the BEST show I have EVER seen! We were both moved to tears. I cried the most at the curtain call, that part was the most touching to me. As a voice performance major at SUNY Fredonia,I love being onstage, and I know that feeling of "yes we did it!, now we get to thank the audience" its just amazing to see that of professional actors. I love the music to this show so much, almost everytime i listen to it, I honestly tear up. It is just SOO moving, the chord changes, the harmonies and the voices are all so honest and real. This show and it's music is truely addicting and I only wish I could have met Jonathan Larsen. If I had one dream, it would be for me to be cast in this show, and I feel like my life would be complete. Thank you to all the actors, crew, production team for putting together this extremely promising film, I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE IT!!!!!!!!!! I would just love to meet you all, i'm sure i'm speaking for the anyone who has posted a blog, haha, but anyone can tell that this film was done out of pure devotion and love for the creation that Jonathan Larson presented you with 9 years ago. Without repeating myself, I just can't wait to see the movie! ya'll are AWESOME!!!!! *MWA*

So far I've been fortunate enough to see you live in Little Shop of Horrors, and now, FINALLY, we'll all get to see the orignal Mark that we've been listening to on the Cast Album. "Halloween" has always been my favorite--it's so concise, pure and raw. Do you anticipate any more live musical theatre in Los Angeles anytime soon?

Congratulations to you and all the rest of the film family. I don't think the world is really prepared for what is going to happen on 11/23--I think it's going to be like a wave of mass emotion like has never been seen. And WOW, PG-13--Maybe the world is changing for the better!!

I have loved RENT for so long, I heard it first when I was about 11 and liked Mimi the most. I promptly asked my mother if I could be her for Halloween, haha.
Yeah, I wondered why she didn't want to to be a drug addicted exotic dancer and strool along the streets at night.
I think that Mark is my favorite now, (if I even have one), and some would say that he is a better role model, haha.
I just wanted to let you know what a great job you did on the new album, it's amazing!
