As happy as you must be to be in rent after being a renthead, i have to say you've made rent better by being in it. The producers ruined my day yesterday when they announced that the limited release was cancelled (my birthday is November 9th and I'd planned on spending all day on the 11th and all weekend at the movie theatres...), but fortunately I'm getting married soon and have other things to distract me.

Plus, I was too busy at work yesterday to watch all your blog posts and they're really cheering me up, too. Less than three months away! Not as good as less than 2 1/2, but we'll have to settle for it.

i am looking forward sooo much to the movie!!!! i can't WAIT untill it comes out! i am looking more forward to the movie then to my birthday (also in fall). Traci to me you are a role model. I today went to the orientation for the school that i will be attending in the fall, The Baltimore School for the Arts, the same school that you attend at my same age. I can not tell you how many times you were mentioned in Leslie's speech, and everytime i got a smile on my face, but but the most memorable was the ending quote, yours (from the 25th aniversery). You said that it was hard work, but that you really enjoyed the school, i hope that i will feel the same way after my four years. I can not even tell you the enthusiasm that i feel, that someone from a school that i will be attending is in RENT. It is something beyond anything. I look up to you, and i can't wait to see you in the movie. I hope that maybe someday soon you will come back to visit, and i will get to meet you, in the mean time i guess i just have to wait for the movie!

I have never seen the play but always heard it was good. I happened to be on the computer one day and saw a link for the trailer of the movie. When I heard your voice, I said that's it, I must get this song. Luckily, iTunes had it and I have been playing it religiously ever since. I caught you guys on the Today show as well and I was again very impressed with your voice. Tracie, girl....., I can't think of anything new to say that hasn't been said, you freaking rock. Your cute/beautiful as hell, seem like a really cool person, you can sing like I can only wish I could and how in the world can you stay so pretty holding that high C? Amazing! For us, Rentheads (which of course you also belong to), it is so refreshing to hear you sing the role of Joanne. After having listened to RENT, OBC on CD for 568 times or so we know each note of that version completely. The "old" RENT cast stick fairly much to their allready brilliant way of singing the songs*, but then you and Rosario come up and shake things up by putting a part of you in the songs, singing them differently, in your style. That is just marvelous to listen to the music you love, just sung another way.

I'm from Miami, and a bit back, I went to NYC to visit my grandparents, and we were walking and all of a sudden, I see Bryant Park, and the cast of Rent on stage. Your voice is wonderful. Your solo was fantastic to watch, and jaw dropping. Rent is quite an obsession to me as well- because I practically almost live it- only in Boston.

tracie, you have quite a pair of lungs on you. girl you can really sing. i was amazed when i saw the 'rent'preview on tv.i thought to myself she is cute and can sing too.what a great combination you've got it going and you are going to have a great career from what i've seen.

Wow what an inspiration! Congratulations on your excellent performance in the movie! This is my first post here on rentmovieblog... I never even knew it was here (yeah seriously.. where have I been?!) Anyway, I'm glad we as fans have the opportunity to post our appreciation for the wonderful crafts of your performance.

I guess I have to get acquainted with this site a bit more, because I don't really know if you respond to questions. IF you do I wanted to ask if you ever went into DC while at Howard University. I'm currently at The George Washington University and being a first year student, i'm still exploring the city, and have already noticed a few theaters around the city and of course, in the Kennedy Center. I'm originally from New York, so I realize there is no comparison to the actual broadway, but it is the closest I can get to it at the moment. Any chance that you will be heading to DC for any "meet 'n greets" or performances?

Once again, you are a true inspiration and you did a wonderful job in Rent. I hope to see you in many more extraordinary projects and perfomances in the future!

It just amazes me that you were once just a huge fan yourself and here we are, all idolizing you so much. You deserve it though, I had only heard of RENT before it was a movie (I don't get to the theater much) but you just mezmerised me. I started to look you up online, because only once in a while does an actor/actress captivate me as much as you did.
I'm jealous of your voice. If I could do that, I would die happy. Keep posting for us, it's awesome how dedicated you are to your fans.

Hello my name is Brandy and I am 15 yrs old and I have cancer! I have had it for a year now!! I just wanted to tell you that I have always been a fan of broadway, since I live in Oklahoma I have never got to go see one!! and when I heard RENT was coming I told my parents that I had to go see it!! After I saw it my parents asked me what my favorite part was I told them the whole thing and that you were my favorite!! I dont know if you STILL read this but I loved you in the movie! You did a fantastical job! (And you know I mean it when I start making up words!) Im glad you guys read all the comments that makes me feel really special! I still love this movie and after watching all of the videos I feel like you guys care about us!
