Definitely the best trailer yet...I was completely fine until Idina's "but it was us baby who were the lucky ones," then I got all teary-eyed and giddy.

I didn't get to see RENT on Broadway until 2000 (I'm only 18, so any earlier and I would have been thuroughly confused) so I'm rediculously happy the majority of the OBC is doing the movie...It's almost like a time relapse :)

I love the new trailer...I wanted to cry it was so good. Each day I don't think I could get more excited about the movie...and then you guys prove me wrong :) Thanks for all the great updates, I'm sure I speak for everyone on here- we appreciate it so much!!

The transition from song to spoken word is really good. They do that a lot in movie-musicals dont they? Like at the masquerade in Phantom of the- *realizes she's so off-topic*

Hi.... I watched the trailer and I´m sooo exited... But why ... why the limited released was cancelled?? It is not fair!I´m from Mexico and when the official web page announced the release I booked hotel for NY, bought plane tickets and tickets to see the broadway show before and after the movie! I´m really sad because I´m such a huge fan and I´ve planned the trip just to see the movie!!! I can proove I bought everything and now! what can I done????

being that this is my favorite musical ever, i'm anticipating this movie more than YOU KNOW. everytime i watch that trailer, see a picture, hear the music, i'm constantly reminded why i saw the play so many times. we're all counting down to its release to be able to watch it with that room full of people who know every lyric, every costume, every voice...and we cant wait!!!

Every day I come to this site, I visit my myspace blog site, I visit the rent fansite blog, and it kinda shines a light in my life :)

Rent has touched millions, and millions, and I'm happy to say that every day it touches me more and more. (hehe... on reading that it sounds kinda naughty... appropriate for rent? ;-) I am a college freshman, and having to live in a crappy ghetto apt I asked myself, "What would a bohemian do?" :-P But seriously... When the first trailor came out i was tearing, and as I watched this new trailor i was crying. I can't even think of words to really describe how I feel now.

I think that it looks amazing. The visuals look astounding, the music sounds great, and everything i've seen so far has matched and surpassed my expectations.

Mahalo nui loa to the staff, and cast who will give this amazing show a new life.

To the amazing actors who bring these intricate and colorful roles into such a vivid life continue to amaze me. Rosario, Idina, Adam, Anthony, William, Tracie, Jesse, and Taye you are truely heroes in a dark time. Please continue to do what you do!

I was excited to see this trailer as I simply can't wait to see how the show translates onto the big screen, and it's looking like it transfer wonderfully.

I suppose I only wish, sometimes, that I wasn't so tech savvy and connected to the internet. I can't imagine my reaction if I had been sitting in a theater, really not knowing how the Rent movie was progressing, and while watching the trailers I suddenly hear the first piano notes of Seasons of Love start. I would have been in awe, I'm sure.

I'm excited. To everyone involved, actors, driectors, crew alike, great job.

Ah! I've been listening to RENT since I was in 3rdth grade... my mom and I would play it and its message helped get us through divorce! I cannot wait for this movie! It looks incredible! Why isn't it November?! I'm going to go mad!!!

Never have I been so excited by the idea of seeing a cast merely interact. Throughout the making of the movie and the (THANK YOU REVOLUTION) wonderful access we as RENTHEADS have had I get more and more thrilled by the chemistry between these actors and this new trailer really shows off the talent both behind and in front of the camera. Its amazing that 9 years ago I was writing to the Rent broadway cast and now I'm posting to the movie board and getting teary eyed every time I watch the trailer for the MOVIE!!!! This cast is fantastic! Chris Columbus is my new hero! Oh and by the way.... ROSARIO DAWSON is tha SHIZZZ!!! (I currently have Mimi on one screen and Gale on the other).
I just want to thank all the people working on this film because I think it is really going to be amazing.

I watched this first yesterday online (immediately, of course) and then again on Access Hollywood last night. They edited it so much, that I didn't feel it did the wonderful trailer justice. Thank you SO much for posting the entire trailer here. It gave me goose bumps and I definitely teared up. Thank you!

I'm still very bummed about the cancelling of the limited release (which was for my birthday weekend), but I'm working out a way to take a personal day so I can still spend the whole first day of the release watching Rent. I can't wait!

so pretty much reading these comments, i really really wanted to get on and trash the trailer since everyone thinks so highly of it.. but honestly, i cannot find a single negative thing about it.

whenever i see it onstage, i get teary eyed when collins says "its over" but tears dont actually fall from my eyes until maureen says that line.... and in the trailer... i cried. in the first trailer i cried when it showed "the line" and then i just start thinking about the show... and one part i hope they include in the movie, but i doubt they did... is when they sing I'll Cover You Reprise and they are in their line again....and theres a gap where angel stood.... that part just makes me cry even thinking about it!!! ahh now im rambling. anyway, it was beautiful. the cast is amazing. i cant wait.

Am I the only one that is extremely proud of this film even though it hasn't been released yet? Based on what I've seen in the 2 trailers...I think it's safe to say that they did this right and they're gonna make us all very proud!

I wish I could have seen it on Access Hollywood. This is the best trailer by far. This is the best movie trailer I have ever seen. My eyes began to tear in the begining. The part where Idina was talking, it just broke my heart, I started crying even more. I knew I was going to need a box of tissues for this movie, but now I think I am going to need more than one box. By the way, I love the smile that Adam has in the begining. It is so cute. The movie is going to be beautiful. I can't wait till Nov. 23.

Wow. The trailer was beautiful. Truly shows what Rent is about and did define a generation. One that I'm proud to have been a part of. Rent isnt just a musical it was a glimpse into real life and I think Chris Columbus will bring the stage alive.

I absolutely LOOOOOOOVE the trailer. I started squee-ing with the first line, because thats gotta be one of my favorite Mark lines. And thats saying something, cause Mark is my favorite character(I followed people around with my video camera before I had even HEARD of RENT). Its absolutely incredible... its so much easier to tell what the movie is going to be like when you hear them speaking and whatnot. And I must say, I'm going to flip. I seriously will go to a midnight showing if one exists, even I have school the 23rd.

And I'm going to be sobbing with the Angel scene. My eyes were tearing up just seeing Idina! *sniffle* I cry way too easily over everything.

Hey! I justed wanted to let everyone who is involved with the musical as well as the movie how much this story of hope, love and life truly moved me. Just last a couple of weeks ago, my best friend and I experienced Rent for the first time on broadway. I can't even find words to explain the rush of feelings I felt for the characters, the music, everything. I cried more than any movie or musical has ever made me cry before, yet it was extremely inspirational and uplifting. I could identify with all the characters in one way or another. Now i definietly know what all the fuss has been about and am so looking forward to the movie! I have been faithfully checking this blog (which is so great by the way)! This story is something special and I am excited that you will be able to share it with the rest of the world.

Maureen's quote at the funeral is one of my favorites in the whole show. I'm so glad they put it in the trailer.

I got goosebumps watching this... although that may just be because my dorm room is freezing cold. Whatever, it was wonderful, and I'm sure I'll be watching it many times over the next few days!

There are no other words than besides .. WOW!!!!! I think you guys this movie is not going to only change this generation but future generations at the same time. Rev. Studios have turned J. Larson's ideas into a dream. He would have been very proud to call this his own and the movie is only from what I have seen from the trailer. Please keep the trailers coming. Words can not explain how excited I am about this film...I am waiting anxiously for November 23rd, untill then all I can do is watch the trailer ten times a day. It is truly beautiful!

Some of this movie was filmed in San Fransico, My home town...and everytime I pass by the "Catsratch Club," I smile and continue my day with thoughts on how great this show was and how great the movie will be...

I love the cast with a passion and I am excited to see how the movie came out...I am sure they have all done a wonderful job at playing the characters that they played so perfectly nine years ago. The fact that the members of the OBC are reprising thiers roles makes me even more anxious to see this musical that affected me so deeply on the big screen.

WOW!!! There aren't any words to really express how I feel about all this. It truly is a blessing that the message in RENT is being shared to people across the world.

Hey all of the cast and crew I think this Movie is going to be awesome and just as good as the play if not better. I have seen the play in San Diego my hometown at least 5 times and in LA but i am sad that i never got to actually see the original cast in New York. To Idina I am mad that i missed u in Wicked and sry u broke a rib I thought u were great in it and i love to listen to the soundtrack. I will see this movie when it comes out and be one of the first people.

I am glad I am not the only one who was emotional after watching the new trailer. :) It is pure beauty.

For me, RENT is more than a show, it is an experience. As corny as that sounds, whenever I hear the music or see the production the emotion is palpable. It could be the story of my friends and I, our hopes, fears, dreams.

To the cast: you all are incredibly talented. You ARE RENT, and we fans thank you!

The whole message of the movie is in this trailer and the scenes, and musica are just incredible! And when Maureen was doing her eulogy, I was just heartbroken all over again. I've watched teh trailer soooo many times and paused and rewound, just trying to suck in every detail. People, even non-rentheads are totally going to LOVE this movie!

The trailer was AMAZING! I can't wait for the movie! At the end of the first trailer is said "Coming this Fall... Only in theaters"- does that mean it's not coming out on video? I hope not! That would be really uncool! You guys are amazing! I love you!

wow. really, truely, amazing. i loved it. i think if you guys came out with one that showed a little more of the rougher side of rent, a more rocky one, you'd definitely draw in a bigger audience and it would be really cool to have all these different trailers portraying all the different "faces" of rent.

Heh, that made me laugh. Oh, my goodness...this was so amazing! I liked that there was actually some talking in it this time(especially Maureen's part in the eulogy) and I love Finale B so I was singing along(and probably annoying my entire family. November can't come fast enough!

Here's hoping the show translates as well as the Broadway production! I think it's awesome that the cast takes the time to read the blog. You all rock! Oh, and what message wouldn't be complete without a "swoon" over Adam Pascal. My god, he looks GOOOOOD! Thanks to Jonathan Larson and all those involved for creating a truly touching story.

Oh my gosh!! It looks fantastic!!!!!!!! When the trailer ended, I honestly just sat there and sobbed for ten minutes!! Everything is so perfect!! I've been playing the new (and old) trailer nonstop for about half an hour and I still can't stop crying!! I just want to let the entire cast and crew of the movie know that I couldn't be more behind you all! I know Jonathan Larson would be proud!! The audio clips sounded wonderful, too, by the way. I'd never heard Rosario sing before and I was really excited to hear her singing "Out Tonight". I think she'll be our best Mimi yet! Anthony, I'm glad we got to see some more of Mark in the new traler, and you sound as wonderful as ever in "Tango:Maureen" (thanks for the birthday email, by the way!) I'm listening to "Goodbye Love" on the original cast cd right now. I can't wait to see all this on screen!! Just watching the trailers has moved me beyond any expectations, I know that the film will be mind blowing! Idina, the quick bit of you that we saw during Angel's funeral was great (the "we were the lucky ones" quote)! You're all exceeding my ridiculously high expectations already! Well done!!!!

I was sad at 7:30 Thursday night when I couldn't "access" access hollywood, but then I saw it here and was jumping up and down and screaming..yeah my friends almost called 911.

Wow. I mean we thought the first one was just serene, but this is just.. it feels like I pressed play and all the sudden entered this paradise world or something! Everything's so real; it's like the 'real world: lower east village' and 8 ppl. I loved the "would ya like to come with us?" Adam's facial expression reminded me of Theo in SoR.

Wow.. litterally brought tears to my eyes. I know seeing it live is such a gift. but to now have it in a medium and relive it over and over and with most of the originals is truly special! Thanks to Chris and the cast for everthing. I can't even express how excited I am about this powerful movie. I now live in the Bay Area and was so excited about the filming in SF. I moved here from the East Coast, where I worked with an improv theatre troupe that performed on college campuses, with music inspired by the Musical. We opened every show in college dorms with Seasons and closed with Finale B. We also did work with perdiatric AIDS non-profit in Pittsbugh, PA. I wish you all much success and luck and I know I will be attending what I can showing support for you all and John Larsen's amazing dream that became a reality...No Day But Today.

It's gonna kick ass at the Oscars. LOL. I can't wait to see it, because I had the kind of year where the music of RENT really helped me, my parents split up and a good friend of mine was killed in a car accident this past April three hours after I saw her. I know that her spirit we'll see the film more then I will. It looks great and can't wait.

Oh goodness. I so happy hollywood hasn't jaded him. I don't know what to say but....Many blessings to his family and there's no one else that can play this role but Adam. Just from watching your clip and the new movie clip, I know the movie will blow the boxoffice way. Maybe it'll break the record!!!

I just saw the RENT trailer on the big screen!! When I heard the first few beats of Seasons of Love, I screamed so loud! I was SO excited! It finally made it seem real! I was so emotional throughout the whole trailer. That definitely made my weekend! :)

Thanks... I loved the new trailer that is now out. I watched Access Hollywood both nights, because there was a "preview" of the trailer the night before. Anyway, I love that my RENT vhs is already starting to get filled... I hope that there are more television appearances, especially from the cast itself. We hope to see you guys on various TV shows. I love the expression on Adam and Jesse's face when they are dancing together... that picture alone made my entire day! Anyway, I love the differences and similarities between the two trailers. Now I have another trailer to see a hundred times before the movie comes out. We can't wait for the "musical phoenmenon that defined a generation". I am getting all of my friends to come watch the movie with me at LEAST once, which will be a major feat because none of them have ever even seen a musical. But my friend got Seasons of Love from itunes, because she knew I liked it and wanted to hear it. Also, becuase it was my solo song last year and she wanted to hear the recording of it. Anyway, I love this new trailer... thanks, especially now that you can also hear parts of the diaglogue too!

I became a RENT fan recently. "Finale/No Day But Today" was one of the songs which I love best and when I heard it on the trailer I WAS REALLY REALLY EXCITED! Hope you have all the good luck with the brand new film, you deserve it, you're working very hard!!!!

My favorite part is Anthony narrating and then Adam starting to laugh...lol that part makes me crack up. I love it. I love the way it was put together also, with the different shots of everyone...the ones of (most of) the cast singing the Finale brought tears to my eyes. It was super beautiful.

Wow! I come back from seeing RENT in New York and I see this new trailer on the site! YAY! I loved it! It made me cry. Now I'm seriously excited for this movie. I don't know what happened, but maybe the show was a refresher of how amazing the message is that you get when you see something like that on stage. But anyway, this trailer pretty much made my summer!

OH...My...God. That was AMAZING. I'm sitting here with tears streaming down my face. This film is gonna be better than even I expected..and I've been expecting alot!..Oscars all around..and even if that's not so, Everyone who truly loves RENT will love this. And so many more will experience this amazing story. I CANNOT wait. Thank you all for making this movie.

honestly, the musical rocked my world. i am so excited.

The movie is going to me totally amazing! Everyone looks amazing, but Adam looks like a lost little puppy dog with the Bon Jovi hair (still gorgeous though).

AMAZING. simply superb. while i wish it showed more of the darker, grittier side of rent, you guys still did an amazing job on it. it brought tears to my eyes, and it was put together very well. now i have to find out what movies it's playing in front of so i can watch it on the big screen! i think my favorite part of it all was anythony's narration at the beginning. major, major props.

So sad, so many comments -- Meaning mine doesn't matter...

Each trailer brings me back to the first time I saw RENT live in the theater. I was nearly bawling my eyes out within ten minutes of the first scene and cried through the second half. Seeing the trailers gets me all teary-eyed at the thought of seeing this amazing musical put into movie form so that I can watch it over and over at the price of a movie ticket - $10, as opposed to a hundred dollar theater ticket. At first I was skeptical because I LOVE the music and I was afraid the movie would be too far removed from that part of the story...after seeing the trailers, I am so excited for this...

PURE LOVE... this has made it ten times harder to wait until november!!

Anyway, I don't even think people realize just how much this movie means to us Rentheads. Being only 11 when the show came out, I discovered it in high school -- and have now seen it 9 times in the past two years on Broadway (even though I live in Ohio and have only been to NYC three times, each trip lasting only about 3 days) -- and my life has been changed. This is my chance to finally see Adam and Idina and Taye and Anthony and Jesse and Wilson in the roles that I adore -- and to have some more reliable casting for Joanne and Mimi than I've seen (Scary Spice? What WAS that?). This pretty much makes my life. (It also really, REALLY excites me for my next NYC trip in October -- I've missed Rent so much! It's just a show where, once you've seen it, you can't help but keep going back... it just resonates within you and means something new each time you see it.) So all in all... thanks to those of the original cast who agreed to sign on for this movie. I'm so glad I finally get to see you in your roles. :)

Mondie I couldn't agree with you more...people think I'm joking when I say that Rent has literally changed my life, but I'm not...not in the least. I just saw it for the first time on August 6th...and I would give anything to go back to 1996 and see the original cast. I am in complete and total awe of these people, they are the people I respect and admire the most in life and I'm so happy this movie is coming out. It's so important.

As a die hard Rent fan, I have to say I'm disspointed with these trailers. They're not moving me the way I had hoped. There are so many shots of people's backs, so many dissolves, so many wide shots. Please tell me that is not what we're going to see in the final edit. I want to experience what I felt when i saw the original cast on stage - the highest energy production in the history of theater. That said, I hope we're in for the highest energy film ever made.

Wow "Rent" on the big screen, who could ask for more???? I will be there on the first day and will be pre-ordering the DVD as soon as I am able. There was never a more meaningful and touching story as that of "Rent".

I've seen the new trailer sooo many times and omg every time I get suuuuch goosebumps!!! I'm still trying to figure out how many times I can see the movie on opening day. I have already taken the day off from work so I can spend the whole day at the theatre.

I just saw this today, 9/7...I need to check the blog more. I can't wait to show my friends at work. I'm up because I can't sleep, and now I know I won't be able to go back to bed. I'm PUMPED! I had goose bumps and tears in my eyes. holy crap, this movie is going to rock!

I literally thought I was crazy until I got to this section. I am not the only one that is getting so unbelievably excited! When I first saw the initial trailer in the movie theater before seeing some other movie, I dug my nails into my boyfriend's arm to keep from screaming out of excitement!

I have been a fan since I first saw a production of RENT when I was 15 and I must say that this story truly changed my life and brought me hope in my darkest hour. It reminded me that there IS hope, power and most importantly a voice alive in us young people. Thanks to all who have put together this movie as it will reach an even wider audience with its powerful message. You all are magic makers and truly more inspirational than you can ever know. Thank you for all your dedication to mr.larson's vision.
